$2,200 for an exhaust is a hard sell. If it were made out of titanium I would see the justification. It’s important to also note that this exhaust is heavier then stock by over 10+ LBS. That’s a hard pass for me.
Tell me about it, that's my biggest issue with this car. I'm waiting on an exhaust that is ridiculously overpriced for no reason. At $2200 you can get a custom fab exhaust. I did not know this thing was that much heavier, that's definitely a no
@andrewkrikorian760 maybe not a noticeable difference, but why would anyone want to add any more weight to the car. It just affects the performance aspect
@@andrewkrikorian760 The real question is why would anyone want to add more weight? Of course 10-15 pounds wouldn’t make a difference unless you’re going to strip it down and turn it into a time-attack car. Again, the price is ridiculous and the added weight adds insult to injury. Especially when you calculate the price of titanium vs stainless steel.
Awesome video and sound! I just ordered and used your coupon. I have the first GR Core to have arrived in Shreveport almost a year ago. I’ve waited that long to do any mod except replace the horn with a Fiamm! Bravo for the video!!!
Magnaflow really needs to make a center-exit only version of this. I have a Magnaflow built exhaust (private labeled through Goodwin Racing) for my 124 Spider. That midpipe helmholtz resonator is fantastic on my 124 for eliminating any drone and is basically the only reason I would want this system. However, the excessive price and weight means I would not go for this system. If Magnaflow made a version that was center-exit only, that would help to solve both issues with this quad-tip system. Keep the midpipe and HH resonator the same, just eliminate the two side exhaust pipes and allow one resonator to be swapped in on the center pipe, before the exhaust tips. That part is already welded up after the curve around the diff, so it would be minimal work. This would drop plenty of weight from the system and drop the price significantly.
Yeah I just got mine and of course I’m just now seeing the issues. Paying over $2000 and has rattling issues. Awesome.😂 but how do you like you’re so far?
you guys ever get a reduced power warning on the dash using this system? mine does and if i dial the spring back to where it berely has any tension it wont fully close and sound like a mega exhuast leak
We cant confirm that , if they didn't do the Valve properly , it could be that, The Valve Magnaflow is super high Quality - Watch at 2:30 I spoke about it there and there is a detailed pice of paper that explains how to do it correctly
@@Speedindustrythat's a stretch, was weighed by a member on the GR Corolla forums and weighed damn near 50% more than the stock system. I mean I know you guys are trying to promote the exhaust because you own a business, but a little bit of transparency goes a long way.
@@michaeldevlin228 Those are not the numbers we saw , 50% more that seems a bit extra, From the Facts that we got it was about 10 lbs heavier. Sure no one wants a heaver exhaust and to many it really will not matter, A few lbs heaver is a solid answer with out getting out the scale.. I was not saying its same or it weights less. Ill post the weights below once we get it on the scale.
@@Speedindustry regardless, a double digit increase in weight is substantial for a "performance" part that does much of nothing regarding power increase. Let's be honest, a catback exhaust system on the GR Corolla is nothing more than a sound enhancer. If I'm paying $2k+ for a "performance" part, I want to see some substantial power gains, not a substantial weight gain with little to zero performance benefits
@@michaeldevlin228 Your statement above is facts, there are other systems out there to save weight, but some customers will want all the Tips and retain the valve like this system does. The stock system weighs in exactly at 32LBS on our FedEx scale, the Shipping weight from Magnafow was 42 or 46 lbs with the box and the packing material, We will pull the system off and get an accurate weight increase for the community, We will actually weight some other systems at the same time. stay tuned for a Video.
Lol at a $2k+ SS exhaust that weighs 50% more than stock. No thanks, ill wait for RK titanium to release a full titanium version which will actually be cheaper and much lighter than this overpriced overweight magnaflow garbage.
Just purchased the exhaust. Worth the money. And remember it’s a Corolla. If you want fast by a V-8. It’s a fun track car. Stop being so dam critical.

Does 10 lbs really make that much of a drastic difference?

@gianmarcoaguilar2114 ya I mean if ur not professionally racing I can't see that being such a deterrent..but the price on the other hand 😬

That exhaust is one of the best setups I’ve ever seen!
In person it is amazing sounding
Its nice with the Valve and the Black Neo Tips
There you are! Awesome
Now it has more exhaust tips than the cylinders.
This makes it faster
hahaa amen! @@Speedindustry
IS500 needs 8 tips not the stock 4
Exhaust sounds amazing and I like how it uses the factory valve...

I wish it didn't have the center tips , 2 outer ones would look mean!
Just a heads up the rattle is the axis that the valve turns on. I got a small washer put on mine and it eliminated the rattle noise

6:27 for after clip
Thanks
Did the installation of the exhaust cause a check engine light?
No lights at all

Does this muffler system have a rattling issue from the valve? Do you know of. Did your system rattle.
People on the forums have reported rattling from the exhaust

That's a pricey pizza exhaust system. Sounds ok but the center exit MBRP sounded better. At least on the ol' UA-cam video anyhow.
Where about are you guys located? Just waiting for my GR, interest3d of getting this done
We are in Las Vegas
has anyone just blocked off the right and left sides? save weight....not being an engineer, but an old racer, what is benefit of the outside pipes?
Sounds good but for 2000+ and it's more heavy idk
Sounds like my lawn mower
That price is ridiculous.
I get that it uses stock valve system but sheesh, its almost as much as an entry level mtb😅
Sounds good, but it’s about a thousand dollars over priced. Could have a fabricator make a titanium exhaust for around this price.
Titanium for the same price ? I doubt it

bro no catback should be more than $700 foh with that price
Is it heavier than stock?
unfortunately yes , by a few lbs

Still sounds aweful, would be interested to hear when full exhaust is done
its just a cat back lame!
