I have been helping my people with cancer. It’s still a strange thing to share, but I send them your way. I’m in Missouri, I find turkey tails, and lots of Chaga, Mullein, goldenrod. Thank you so much for sharing!! Stay strong. Love to all.

@5:53, a force of nature took over and I hiked up the tiny old ski hill where I'm staying to survey the Birch. No Chaga on live Birch on the east side of the power line. On the west side I found a twinned Birch with a Chaga chunk sticking out of a honker, so I popped off the one that was sticking out first then when I barely hand my hand on the big chunk it broke off without tools. What a gift. Feels like the whole chunk weighs a kilo or more. Excellent video as always.

Sounds devine!! I'm wondering though, with it's anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, does it work or does it kill the mother?

You'll need to use a base of actual tea for kombucha to culture. Just thinking, an oolong tea might go well with chaga since both are deep thick and rich; they might pair well. Please let us all know how it turns out! And keep trying if the first batch does not turn out. Use a new scoby and fresh culture and do it again tweaking your recipe until you reach perfection. You ideas sound adventurous. Go for it.

Great video brotha, very informative. A few months ago me and a buddy of mine harvested some from the berkshire mountain area in western Massachusetts. I have around 30 lbs now. Been drinking it every day for almost 2 months now. I also have a few mason jars sitting of half chaga powder and half absolute vodka. I am lucky that I do not live too far from areas that have chaga so I have been able to get my own. Thanks for the video!!

Very informative - on the tree side Chaga is classed as a brown rot. A tree can't heal itself nor can we heal the tree. What it can do is to create woodwound around ie. a spot where a branch falls off. It can also initiate a process of tylosis where wood cells go through a process of occlusion. The tree creates a line of defense against intruding fungi by filling some cells with protective substances. You can see these often dark lines in spalted wood. It can, however , take many years for Chaga to kill a birch tree. On another note there are a few contraindications. If you are going to have surgery your Doctor will likely want you to stop taking Chaga 2 weeks prior since it has a blood thinning effect. If you are on blood thinners you should talk to your Doctor about this also. Chaga can also reduce blood sugar so if you are on diabetic medication you will need to closely monitor your levels and your medication may need to be adjusted. Ladies who are concerned about estrogen levels also have to have them checked more often if taking Chaga. I just finished my second cup of Chaga tea for today - trying to get rid of this awful cough. The Chaga is so much nicer than the Birch Polypore tea. Nothing ever gets wasted - the final step will be to use all the residue and leftovers to make a Chaga tea for the garden!

Great video. There's a decent amount here in Northeastern Ontario Canada 🍁 ☺. I have quite a bit that I've dried. I like the taste of it. It took away my fever when I was getting chemotherapy in 2016. I still drink it today. It lasts a long time. I reuse the same small pieces for tea at least 6 to 8 times. Yes there is a proper ethical way to harvest it ☺. I enjoy your videos.

Thanks, great video! What I like about your presentation is that you always give plenty of information, so even some of us can go and get the plants and make something useful, like tinctures and teas etc.. This is win/win at work, thanks for your integrity with a happy face :-) I do make simple decoctions by picking some Linghzy conk mushroom and soak it in Vodka. Then strain and simmer the mushrooms in water, adding the water to the alcohol which makes a simple tincture. I add this to my herb tea and boy, did it correct a lot of my health issues! Keep it up, "I love Herbal Jedi"

I do agree it does help some trees seal a wound but It does not come out of the ground as stated but lives in the pith of the wood. This sometimes weakens the tree and makes it suseptaple to wind damage snapping off the stem. It is a parasite in the strictest sense of the word. The back and forth battle with the trees immune system is what gives the chaga some of it's healthy compounds. This may in turn strengthen the trees immune system as well.

I am subscribed, and I love your videos. But, in this video you refer to the LDLs as the bad cholesterol. I'm sure you said that because that's what you keep hearing like the rest of us. But, in a way the LDL is like that Mushroom on the birch tree. The body uses the LDL to plaster the inside of the vessel because the vessel has been weakened, either by toxicity or nutrient deficiency, and needs some help. When the person detoxes and starts to eat right, then the HDL come along and take off the LDL as the vessels heal. In other words, the LDL are like little Band-Aids. They only show up when something's wrong in the body. So probably, eating that chaga mushroom is healing the body and that's why the LDL is reduced.. I listen to doctor John Bergman on UA-cam, also dr. Eric Berg and Dr. Axe, and a few others. Check them out. Keep up the good work, and thank you for your Insight and caring attitude.
    P.S.
Did you choose that shirt on purpose to be the same colors as the chaga mushroom?

I put mine in a tiny crockpot and keep it plugged in and just add water as I scoop out my drink. Sometimes I keep it going for week this way. Just a few cups a day. The amount of chaga I place in there .. I base that on "feel"... like I feel like this amount when I pour it over my hand over the opening of the crockpot. Touching. Feeling. Savoring. I think of it more like a coffee, adding milk and (sorry?) Irish Cream torani type syrup. I know, I'm Terrible.
