I watched and yes I don’t know why I said it that way! I believe that God designed the anglerfish with the light! No evolution at all, there is no way a fish would just develop a light out of no where!

@@FishGum there is a big difference between evolution and adaptation. I do not believe God created the poodle. God only saved two dogs from the flood, male and female. All other types came from those two. It's called epigenetics.

Several years ago I caught em in gulf shores in the middle of the night with a light like that on shrimp. I was fishing for trout in the surf and caught a limit as did my son and wife.

Cool stuff! I recently made a inline submersible light out of a bottle cap that's powered by a CR2032, going to try it on my high low rigs at OBX in a few weeks! Thanks for the idea, if it actually works I might send you one

Yeah man let us know how it goes, I've stuck glow sticks on everything but the rig itself night fishing, this is interesting.
@@jewwyjones9760 so I gave it a try over the weekend (about 4hrs on the beach). I rigged a circle hook on a loop knot and placed one glow in the dark bead on either side of the hook eye. At night the first thing that came to mind is that it looked like shrimp eyes! I picked a spot right at a cut but the bite was slow... sharks were breaking me off and a couple rays. Initially I just used high/low rig with fish gum and shrimp. Up till now I hadn’t used the glow rig (forgot about it...) I threw it on as I was packing up, tossed it in, and in under 2 min had a 16” whiting (PB). It was on straight fish gum. I’ll try it again but the glow material needs to last longer. The eagle claw beads lost their glow in under 5 minutes.

I will be going to S.W. Florida in November. Target species, Pompano. Will be giving this a try if I get the chance to do any night fishing.

Been Surf fishing All my life and cannot figure out the walking backwards across the beach ?? Have landed Striped bass over 50#, black drum to 60+ #'s and have never done that!
I was so scared to lose a big fish that I kept constant pressure on it by walking backwards
Here's a tip for you, when spending more time talking into a camera than fishing and paying attention to what you are doing, at least.point the camera the other way, so you can at least see your rods while talking. You will spend more time catching fish than letting them go.
Also, don't set out more rods than you can handle and so far apart.
