Actually both versions on the same cartridge has been around since gen 6. If you use the right tools you can turn a Y rom into X
No, it's actually been around since the originals on Gameboy. Maybe not in terms of stuff like the title screen or the Super GB borders, but certainly in terms of available Pokemon, as they're all included in the game's data and can be caught if you manipulate some bits of data (even Mew is obtainable if you perform a certain glitch).
@@otaking3582 thats not both versions of the game tho thats just all pokemon
Just like real life.
@@otaking3582 no I mean the full game of both versions, that's been a thing since X/Y
@@arcryves2630 But that's really the only thing different between Red and Green/Blue, is the available Pokemon.
I really liked the descontruction of the slang "Manuela". It's somehow kinda funny to see such a level of analisys given to a slang that I'm just used to hearing without questioning it at this point.
I died LOL
Even just Manuela would have been okay, on a medieval setting the name wasn't that weird. Fixiating on this just makes it funnier.
I'm surprised they knew about it, I've only ever heard that joke in school and I'm not even from the city so I thought it was a local thing
The Ice puzzle in the 7th gym in BDSP now prevents the player from walking diagonally or straying from the grid, so for any person with an updated version of the game, it's entirely an non-issue.
But updating your game will remove some "features" glitches mainly. It's a shame to downgrade the game hahaha. The game is already bare bones as it is, why not keep all the wacky glitches?
@@pauljohnong5924 nintendo wouldnt allow it
The fun glitches in stardew valley like a secret going out of bounds and finding a burger in the wall glitch was removed
Because nintendo made the creator do that
@@arcryves2630 Oh well. More or less you can opt to keep the glitches in exchange for online interactivity. I'll be honest, I did not play BDSP, but do hope that most players who bought the game got a chance to mess around with glitches. These are the games with the easiest glitches to access and manipulate bar Gen 1. And I don't know, that just sounds so fun to me.
@@pauljohnong5924 In that case then the player does need to be careful. I assume new prints of the games will come with the most recent patches anyway though.
I got my copy of Brilliant Diamond for Christmas digitally, so I essentially got the 1.1 version of the game. Not that I'd even try to deviate from the grid. I actually used the directional buttons when I was in there.
Also, to my fellow Metroidvania fans, if you haven't picked up Metroid Dread yet, do it, you won't regret it.
Just beat it, I'm just upset it wasn't a bit longer lol
I’m not paying full price for a short game.
@@lifespanofafry1534 It's a normal length for a game, longer than most in the franchise, barring the Prime titles. It's almost exactly the same length as Portal 2 in all 4 categories of playtime. Are you sure length is the problem and you don't just have some ulterior reason to dislike it?
@@Oujouj426 I’m sure! Maybe it’s my long game bias 🤷🏽♂️
I just like extremely long games.
Did you play Dread? Did you like it?
Hey, I have some info about BDSP! You mentioned that the two games are the same ROM with a different flag, and were implying this is a new development. It's not! I can't say for any earlier or later than that, but in the original DS titles for both Gen 4 and 5 (including HGSS), the same thing was true! Yes, they were frequently listed on ROM sites as different ROMs with different IDs due to the flag, but using hacking it was entirely possible to access all the other game's features and have the game act like the other one using cheat codes. I personally have experience doing this. You could do things like change which of the Lati@s appear from the Enigma Stone, get both the Gen 3 box legendaries (complete with their events) in the same game, and even change things like get Black City or White Forest in the opposite game, with just one or two lines of code.
But because it's BDSP, the chances of a glitch changing the flag increase dramatically. We just have to find it :3
Aside from various other complaints, the biggest upset I have with Pokémon BDSP is the complete dedication of being a faithful recreation of Diamond and Pearl instead of making changes that makes them stand out. Instead of applying features that were present in Platinum or offering quality of life changes that weren't present in the originals, the games feel less like remakes and more like an updated rerelease.
My biggest upset is the chibi look. The sole reason why I haven't gotten the game. I wish they'd either go full sprite overworld or full 3D like the modern games. Instead they gave us some weird inbetween that I can't look past.
@@jase276 I quite like it myself.
My biggest upset is the loss of my really cool base building and overall downgrade the underground has. You used to be able to grow spheres to larger sizes and smaller ones would grow off what you buried so you could guarantee affording anything, you could decorate your base to look cool, capture other players flags and you digging was neater because you were more likely to get the useful rewards than the dumb statues...
@@amh7912 the little biomes are a nice addition but there should've been changes like getting Spiritomb
When the remakes have unique features y'all complain about it not being faithful enough, and when they're too faithful y'all complain that they're not different enough. Face it, ya don't know what you want.
I actually got Metroid Dread from my wife for Christmas, been slowly getting through it due to priorities in life, but it is fun. As a new years resolution, I think I'm going to figure out and try doing twitch streaming so I can actually get through some of these games. Wish me luck! Cheers.
To answer your question at the end Dazz, I got Donkey Kong ‘94 for Christmas. Finally got to try the defintive experience out on my old Suoer Game Boy, and had a blast with it!
Super Game Boy? Shame, I got a GB Operator to connect on my laptop.
Donkey kong country on gb was my shit
DK94 is a classic and Idk why its slept on so hard
@@shoomus most dont know about it, i know I didnt. That game goes hard! Deserves an award for sure
Hey I remember you did a voice over for this channel. You did an awesome job on that! Good to see you're still active.
Uhm, Peruvian here. The "Manuela" thing in Fire Emblem Three Houses is a little questionable. Yes, "Manuela" can be a synonym for masturbation, but only in certain contexts, and NOT when used as a name. In actuality, Manuela IS a female, Latino name... I actually have an aunt called Manuela! So yeah, if they changed the name for that reason, it's... quite absurd.
Yeah what the heck, my Abuela's name is Manuela!
Is it like someone named "dick"? It's still a name but you'd avoid it nonetheless
@@adityakhanna113 I wouldn't say so, now. I think "dick" can be used as "penis" in pretty much any context, but "Manuela"... not really. It'd be rather forced.
@@SebaZavaK No. Every single time someone mentions Manuela, me and all the people I know immediately think of masturbation. And on top of that, the character who had the name is a MILF. They had to remove it.
@@SourTb The hell xD
Considering Manuela's design, they knew EXACTLY what they were doing when they named her.
Man, I thought the OG Pokémon Snap was the lamest game as a kid, super boring.
Now, as an adult, I see the genius behind it all, so relaxing.
I remember renting it, and being bored as hell because i wanted a 3d pokemon yelllow.
The BDSP version flag reminds me of a Transformers game I had a long time ago on the DS that did the exact same thing. It had two versions: one where you play as the Autobots, and another where you play as the Decepticons. They had completely different story missions and the like. I had the Decepticons version, but I wanted to try all the playable characters from the Autobots version. I found codes for my Action Replay that let me do just that, but when I exited to the main menu after trying them out, I found that it had switched over to the entire Autobots version of the game! From there I was able to access all of the Autobots story missions. I guess that by using the cheat code, I had inadvertently switched the game's version flag. I don't remember if it returned to normal upon resetting, or if you had to use another Action Replay code to switch the version flag back.
10:00 This has always been the case, back to the originals, outside of the 3rd version, like Emerald or Platinum. If you played around with a GameShark back then, you would have eventually seen the code to do this. I did it myself a few times.
I got Colors Ultimate for christmas and honestly its as good as I remembered. I haven't got any major glitches other than the flickering in Planet Wisp either. Maybe this is the nostalgia talking but its still one of my favourite games
Some glitches were faked to make the game look worst i agree had a few problems but blown way out of control it ain't Sonic 06/Rise of Lyric levels of broken
I got it mid December and the game is still so icy fun to play.
I haven’t gotten that far in the game just yet but I’ve had a perfectly fine experience.
I think by now there have been patches to fix the glitches.
I mean the game released mid September 2021. If they hadn't patched out all the gamebreaking bugs 3 months after that would be an absolute joke.
I'm a little confused as to what is supposed to be sinister about the BDSP thing. If they were two different ROMs, it wouldn't make any difference other than saving a little bit of storage space. If anything, this just highlights that the two versions model has always been a scam because you could do the job of both games without even changing the ROM.
What's sinister about it is Nintendo selling you two games but only letting you play one of them, then packaging two discs together for a huge price when both games are already on one disc. They're completely ripping you off.
The two version for Pokemon stopped making sense a while ago, they were fun so interact with other people and exchange Pokemon, but now the two versions thing is just a stupid tradition, I love the games, I'm still a fan but I would never buy "two versions" of the same game
Same, I feel it lost the appeal after diamond and pearl. I was in highschool at that time.
Fact: Pokemon BDSP has a backup save. If you are in the titlescreen just press UP, X and B at the same time.
SwSh’s version was also determined by a flag in the rom, and maybe prior titles but I can’t remember for sure. But what makes BDSP different is the first time it’s possible to change the version and have the game function correctly after changing the version because BDSP are much more similar than SwSh.
Swsh
Wow. I didn’t know. Thanks did you know.
Y'all out here acting like it's a new thing that the mainline Pokémon games are essentially identical. News flash: they've been the exact same game with minor changes for over 25 years. They haven't been working on two separate codebases this whole time, as much as a shocker as that might seem.
Oh no another one!!
I mean yellow was rather different compared to red and blue
@@slickhitler Yeah but Yellow was released after Red and Blue.
If I had a nickel for every time a deviantart art was inside of a Sonic game, I'd have two nickels, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Oh and if you include Smash Bros, that's 3 nickels.
Nice Doofenshmirtz reference!
If I had a nickel for every time a Sonic was inside of deviantart art I'd be richer than Elon Musk.
Such naivete.
Kinda sus that they did not mention that the BDSP softlock was patched out.
Firstly because no, you cannot try this anymore. Secondly because it's important information in general.
"BDSP are essentially the same ROM but with bits of code to determine which Pokemon appear in which version"
So basically like every other Pokemon game since 1996?
Yep and you been able to switch version since x and y
No. Available pokemon isn't the only difference. Look at Ruby and Sapphire. The whole plot revolving around trying to stop Kyogre flooding the world in Sapphire or Groudon cooking the world in Ruby. And different gangs you're fighting. I doubt they kept all that in both ROMs. I know ones are hardly different with the same gangs and stuff.
why are you so triggered its not that big of a deal
@@Arcona I haven't checked to see what all is left in the code of those games, but still, those are very minor differences. Having different Pokemon between versions is not only something major (as it's the whole incentive for trading in the first place; "Gotta Catch 'Em All", remember?), but it's also something that's remained a constant throughout every generation.
@@RadeenChoudhury This channel's main purpose is to inform, so when they get information wrong or don't go into enough detail, they're kinda failing at their job.
My New Year resolutions: Watch every video game ad from the 90's-00's and complain to game companies why modern ads aren't interesting than the ads I use to watch.
Not sure when this was recorded, but the soft lock problem in pokemon bdsp has been fixed.
Actually, the newer pokemon games including both versions in one ROM is nothing new. This has been happening since the 3DS, and rumored in early versions of the DS games
I remember back when everyone was causing a big deal about it back when ORAS was a thing.
That New Pokemon Snap easter egg blew my mind
The Pokemon Company have always inserted game characters/Pokemon earlier on into the anime, as a teaser for later games. Been doing it since the beginning. Still really fucking cool, though- this one clearly was done as an easter egg and not simply to build hype or marketing for Snap 2.
The Manuela thing sounds like such a stretch. I’m from Puerto Rico and grew up with a Manuela. She never had jokes regarding her name.
Latin America is pretty big. Manuela jokes are pretty common here in Uruguay.
I got a cool Nintendo themed blanket for christmas!
The EMMI are also not wholly original because they can clearly be seen stalking Mario in the Freeze Flame Galaxy in Mario Galaxy 2.
… That’s my headcanon and I’m sticking to it
Yo, I haven't thought about them in a log time. I accept this headcanon.
Awful headcanon lol
What?
i wouldn’t have been surprised if every mainline pokémon cartridge in existence had the opposite version included, don’t get why some people were pissed off with the bd/sp situation as if they were locking entirely different games away on the cartridge 🙄
Because it helps push their narrative that "Pokemon bad waaah."
The E.M.M.I robots also remind me of General Grevious with they way they look and how they crawl around and also The Terminator how they are unstoppable killing machines.
That Diamond and Pearl nonsense is going to make those of us who already have issues with current Pokemon games rage, lol.
They've been doing it for almost 10 years now really not too current
It's such a minimal thing to get upset over. Just about every version has the data of the opposite game present in it.
Pokemon fans have a tendency to be exceedingly nitpicky. Not all of them, given I'm a fan, but it's incredible to see sometimes.
I can’t believe people glossed over how pokemon BDSP was shipped literally unfinished
Most games are shipped unfinished these days, it's not really news
@@UnexpectedDanger that still doesn’t make it ok?? It should still be called out but I didn’t see nothing about it cause it’s “Pokémon” it’s ok cause it’s Pokémon!
@@RaspyCh It was still lot more playable than majority of the new releases, what is why most people don't make a big fuss about it as they played and beat the game with pretty much facing no major bugs that hindered the experience.
@@UnexpectedDanger and you're ok with this? I know I'm not.
Damn you! You tricked me into listening to a whole entire advertisement with Chrono Trigger music! How devious!
I was going to ask you Guys for the Song Name,

The BDSP having both games on the same cart/download is just a side effect of how the games were developed this time around. Criticizing it only this time while The Pokémon Company has been selling double packs for a while now would be hypocritical.
The double pack has always been a cash grab, let's be fair.
Agreed. Stupid point.
Pokémon having two-three different games has always been a fuckinf scam.
Yep plus with all those trade evolutions.
@@sun332s7 I can't say that Pokémon having 2 different version have personally bothered me that much considering they do that to encourage players to trade with each other more...and to make more money but 3rd versions definitely give off a cash grabby vibe. To be fair though recently Pokémon has stopped making 3rd versions.
@@PeterGriffin11 the 2 version is a scam since they hit switch u need bank to move mons forward cost money u need home to move between switch games that can cost money and u need switch online to trade now where before that was free and they are just as scummy with DLC as a 3rd version they make it a different dlc per version and lock huge quality of life changes behind it
Watching the first 2:55 of this video Im not sure if the sponsored content is coming or is under way, it feels a bit like watching a commercial so far XD
To be honest, I would’ve preferred a port of any of the 3DS games instead of BDSP which I would’ve given another year to cook.
Not just for some Platinum content and Pokemon from Gen 5-8, but they could have Pokemon exclusive to Legends Arceus to possibly be in the Grand Underground.
There is a tiny bit of platinum content. Not sure of the whole list but i know one thing is being able to stay on your bike while in the buildings in between routes. Small but it counts
I honestly liked BDSP but my biggest problem is them making TM's no longer reusable I was having fun with the game but after I beat it trying to find TM's in the underground and then worrying about if I have enough gems to get them is annoying and I'm definitely not gonna go to the battle factory everytime I need a TM it made me wanna stop playing. I still like the game but it's not perfect.

Sorry I just _have_ to groan whenever someone starts a video with Sonic having a “rough history” because who the heck doesn’t know that at this point
There are many people who would disagree with it, oddly enough.
I’m tired of hearing that myself. I want to see someone say something positive about one of my favorite series.

Brilliant diamond and shiny pearl took a week to make. That's not a fact, but it sounds believable.
No they didn’t. Game development takes WAY longer than that.
That’s not fair to say.

The whole rant about the Pokemon rom files is a great example of gamer pearl clutching.
Wasn’t that whole Sonic Colours glitches fiasco greatly exaggerated? A lot of the viral footage was running on unstable emulators.
Literally only 1 of those were confirmed to be running on an emulator, the rest were on real hardware...

Sonic colours music was so nostalgic
The only thing intriguing about BDSP is how much content from Platinum wasn't incorporated into the games.
Because it was a remake of diamond and pearl, not platinum. It would have been much better if it were platinum.
@@TheSpaceboy33 But then how would they be able to sell us the same game twice??
@@Hysteria98 hey there's still time for them to remake platinum too and sell us a similar game like 6 total times.

@@SirBlackReeds yeah, it won't. This was probably the laziest remake yet.
It's been a very long time since you've done a video on Street Fighter and I've been playing SF 4 and 5 and I think there's so much there that could warrant a new video. It's one of my favorite series ever and I'd love to know more secrets about that series.
Sadly, this channel only cares about views and therefore only produces videos they think will net as many views as possible. Street Fighter is great, but it's not clickbait, so they won't do it.
@@L33PL4Y Yeah, I mean no offense to them because I do appreciate the stuff they do; but they released a video some time ago about how their channel is missing views on suggested feeds and disclosed that they get the most from doing Nintendo videos during the weekends. Once they said that, I can't help but notice most of the videos are just all Nintendo stuff.
@@SinaraSnake Yeah, and I respect pleasing people of all fandoms, not just the biggest fandom or whatever makes you the most money. Be objectively representational, not exclusively so
I always see Nintendo criticize other companies for releasing "unfinished" or "riddled with bugs" games.
Then they turn the blind eye to their own first day release 3GB patch and ALL kinds of problems.
I honestly think had Nintendo/Pokemon company listened to the fans better, the games would be a thousand times better then what they were
I believe part of the problem with Pokémon games growing stale is due to it having almost no serious competition in its sub-genre, I hope they learn something from Monster Hunter Stories 1/2 and SMTV since for me were absolutely better "creature catching" games, be it graphically or mechanically.
Many of the problems with Pokémon isn’t Nintendo based, but actually the small size of Game Freak and how large Pokémon Company is. Game Freak is often forced by the Pokémon Company and it’s own shareholders to release their games at certain times, as the real money is not from the games, but everything else, like the merchandising, so often the games’ quality isn’t high priority. Nintendo is big enough to be able to stand up to its shareholders and delay games, but game freak? Not only is game freak relatively small, but the Pokémon franchise is just too big for the company.
@@mrroybot4237 It’s not stale to those who only play one or two games. It’s different for different players.
Gunbuster is a phenomenal work of animation that acts as a spiritual precursor to shows such as Evangelion and Gurren Lagann, plus it’s a very short 6 episodes that’s absolutely worth your time. Great to see the devs at Mercury Steam have such good taste.
5:15 That Manuela tidbit sure comes in handy.
Not a fan of the writing style for this one. I think DYKG has always been good with minimizing the personality of the writer in the narration. There used to be a dry humor that would only emerge when it was called for. Either through clever but subtle wording or a joke during the end slate. This new writing is filled with opinions that don’t really add anything. It just compromises the matter of fact delivery of the research, where the interesting nature of the facts stands on its own without the need for goofy jokes. I know this is just video game trivia not breaking news, but it’s definitely a big change I’m noticing
I know ya'll talk about games you don't particularly like just for the views, but it's... idk, kind of a buzzkill to take time out of a vid pretty much just to say you don't enjoy Pokémon anymore. (Especially considering the amount of high-quality Pokémon research that has come out of this channel.)
Yeah, it's not really a "did you know?" bit of trivia if it's a weird thing like that. Here for interesting facts, not uninteresting opinions
Lmao why? Why does someone disliking something you like make then a buzz kill? Seems like a pretty juvenile mind set. Also, last 2 (at least) pokemon games have been offensively low effort
@@woweezowee5826 People can dislike whatever they want. But "hey did you know this interesting fact about a game we dislike" makes me personally less interested in hearing the fact, which seems counterintuitive to the entire point of this channel. I generally like this channel and they frequently ask for feedback so I thought I'd give some for once.
Imagine using autosave in a Pokémon game. 😂
I always prefer manual saves in any game. I hate being forced to have every action be permanent, and I also hate not knowing if it's safe to shut off my game.
What most games do is that they include multiple save option. There is an autosave slot and multiple manual save slots. Pokemon brilliant diamond shining pearl don't do that though
Imagine finding out the auto save function turned on as default AFTER hatching your manaphy egg. I was not happy.
@@zidanefan9
That sucks pretty hard. I'm sorry. :(
I think I left mine alone, because I didn't wanna save, grab the egg, take five minutes to hatch the egg, find out it's the wrong nature, then reload over and over again. I'd rather just use a Nature Mint in the postgame. I still feel for you though.
The thing is that "Manuela" is an actual name in Spanish, and it's only used as slang for masturbation in the context of "hacer/haciendo la manuela" (do/doing the...).
I think it's because "manuela" sounds close to "manual" ("hand made" in this context) so it's used as an euphemism.
If you ask me replacing the name is a bit of overkill on their part, kinda like saying that you can't call a character "Dick" because it means penis.
Well, now I've gotta check the background if I ever watch Secrets of the Jungle. Cool Easter egg.
You ever notice that whenever DYKG mention sega, it's always to rubbish them?
Why does it matter whether BDSP only differ by a flag in the data vs being different ROMS? It serves the exact same purpose, I don't see how the ROM itself being different in previous titles makes the practice of selling two copies of nearly the same game any more palatable lol
Been like that since gen 6
With digital copies it bloats your storage for no reason
nice to hear all the cool references in dread
My mom got me this wicked sweet jacket for christmas, total surprise to me cuz i dont remember asking for it, but its warm and cozy and feels INCREDIBLE! My new years resolution is that i want to be a good father for my soon to be born daughter. Shes due in march, big nervous lol.

I have no idea why you’re complaining about the format of the rom…
so you’re saying if they spent the time to make two different roms that would be fine? That would take like an afternoon of work and makes no difference to the final product, that’s not sinister it’s just coding.
And by that logic you should be mad that there are two different versions at all, no? Is it not then WORSE that they’re putting in extra effort to lock off content?
Literally every Pokemon game with two versions is just the same ROM but slightly edited so this really shouldn't rub anyone the wrong way...
I don't see why it matters how they did it when it's the same exact result
They never did it out of necessity it's always been a practice to get you to buy two games.
Every Pokemon game could have had this flag feature. They just did it with this release to make it easier which is fine because in the end it really changes nothing.
You would rather they purposely make it more difficult to alter it? It Changes nothing for the end consumer and the two versions thing has always been a way to nickel and dime you.
The problem is that they include both versions (while only letting you access one of them) in each single copy, which is a huge waste of storage space, especially for the digital copies.
Plus, it makes it a lot easier to pirate the other version you didn't buy.
@@Compucles You do realise that it isn't literally two games in one cart/download right? When you change the flag telling you what version it is, it just changes some of the encounter tables and a few lines of text. Everything else is still the same
There’s fr localization changes in almost every support conversation in Three Houses. Especially with Bernadetta’s and her abusive father. The big one with her happened months after the game was out already and they toned down how she described him in one of her conversations
In conclusion, if you’re a dad in Fire Emblem, you’re either dead or you *should* be.
Other than maybe Dimitri’s, Lysithea’s, Raphael’s, Constance’s, Marianne’s, and Edelgard’s parents. Okay there are exceptions. We can get into Flayn’s mom and Rhea’s mother if we really wanna go that far
AS A LATINOAMERICANO I *LOVE* THAT THEY HAD TO FUCKING REMOVE "MANUELA" FROM THE SCRIPT. THAT'S COMEDY GOLD.

Hey, just a tip, the glitchy Sonic footage is pretty straining on the eyes. I think that for some people who are sensitive to flashing lights this might be problematic. About BDSP and the single flag in the code separating the two versions, it's been like this with Every mainline pokemon game that's come out, just with somewhat different executions
This is very much Not just a BDSP issue lmao
Spanish is my first language and let me tell you, in my 23 years, I’ve never ever heard Manuela referred to in that way.
Manuela is also a Proper name for women. In Latin America is common to see Manuela in females, and it is not as common as to think of it in a perverted way, we just call them "Manu" for short
3:12 didn’t they do that with the cat Mario and cat peach amiibos. It was revealed through there Twitter.
The two versions of Pokémon have never been that different from each other in any gen, so it's fundamentally the same thing to me.
Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald had subtly different maps and different stories. Platinum changed the setting to winter compared to Diamond and Pearl. Black and White have different cities and some of the shared areas have differences between them, and those carry over I to Black 2 and White 2. The story in X and Y is different. Sun and Moon and their Ultra versions have the time of day reversed. Several of those plus Sword and Shield have different Gym Leaders depending on which version you have. And then there are version exclusives Pokemon including Legendaries.
@@OtakuUnitedStudio None of what you said is really different compared to what BDSP did. All of the differing content is is and has always been present on both versions of the game. Team Aqua's base is still present in Ruby's data, for example, along with Kyogre's lair in the Cave of Origin. Platinum just received texture updates to give an updated presentation, but it used Diamond and Pearl as a base. Black and White's exclusive areas are in both versions' data. Same with Black 2 and White 2. X and Y have the same exact story with very minor dialog changes to have some differentiation. Sun and Moon, along with the Ultras, only invert time depending on what version the ROM is set to. Sword and Shield are the same as Gens 3 and 5 above with all location data being present in both versions. It's essentially the same as it's always been.
I was just watching Game Grumps, and almost thought I was tripping when I saw the Arin x Shovel Knight clip lol
Sweet, I just needed "Sonic games aren't always that good" and "Pokemon games are getting worse" to finish my BINGO sheet.
Throw out that bingo sheet and grow a heart.
the only issue I have with that sonic segment is the choice to cover what are pretty clearly placeholder assets. they go unused after all so I dunno what the point of highlighting them was.
seems a little misguided to get defensive over some games that are pretty widely considered to have underdelivered.
@@BradTheDead For some, they’re perfect fine games. It all depends on who’s playing and what they want.
@@BradTheDead I belong in the category of people who just want to play a simple game and don’t expect anything particular and doesn’t complain.
Changing Manuelas name for Latam was so dumb. Do they not know it's an actual name and many women are named that especially in Latam?
That badly made sonic picture is meme material, pure art 👌
Same folks who complain about BDSP being bad games are in here complaining they don't get to play both versions. If they're so bad, why gripe about not getting to play both versions?
For Christmas, I got Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut and Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, both for PS4.
"Migüela"
Damn, that pronunciation hurts.
Le hubieras puesto en Google "Miguela pronunciación"
I doubt the Deviantart sourced Sonic stuff was ever even shown to Sega. As a programmer, it looks to me like the sort of thing the devs grab and stuff into alpha builds to get a bit better idea how it's going to feel than if they just wrote "insert Sonic render once Bob finishes it" in mspaint. The real WTF is how it made it into a release build, even as an unused file.
DYKG dude I really love your voice, man
What's the music used during the Buyee ad? Sounds familiar but can't place my finger on the game, maybe Grandia or Star Ocean First Departure?
It’s the Millennial Fair theme from Chrono Trigger! ^_^
i didnt recall any company being mentioned in Dread. but thats because it was part of an image whihc is why i didnt remember.
and unless it was like a word for word line i think the 2nd reference COULD be a stretch.
like whats the exact japanese line from both Dread and Gunbuster?
cuz in Dread, Samus' opening exposition says "made of the strongest stuff in the universe", which stands out to me since thats normally not how Samus seems to think/speak.
The original sonic colours also features Fan art of Sonia and Sally
the comment about 4chan is kinda strange, since many big spoilers that came out to be true also came from there. like movie scripts, games that were going to be ported to PC, and game announcements.
Literally.
Broken clock yadda yadda. When your leaks are credible 0.01% of the time, it doesn't mean much
