SPRAY your fruit with lemon juice before putting them in the boxes so they don't turn brown :)

I've been a borderline vegan for about 3 months now, and because it's so difficult for me to find foods to eat being a 15 year old vegan, I often go back and forth and eat animal products every now and then. This video helps me out a TON and now I'm going to try my hardest to become fully raw! I'm so glad I've found your channel!!! Thank you for this amazing video!!!

These looks delicious! My 7-year old nephew does not eat meat, by choice. Like he says, "I was born this way!" He's so smart. He loves broccoli and carrots, but he can't live on that alone. Thanks for these ideas.

If you use a tiny bit of lemon juice on the fruit, it will hold up oxidization and stop it from browning through out the day :) Especially good for apples which brown so easily after cutting

This are super ideas for school lunch. I'm from germany and the cafeterias in our schools have only warmed-up meals for Lunch or some ready-to-eat-salad. This meals are better alternative way to make my school lunches than to cook my lunche the evening bevore. Thank you for this healthy ideas and inspiration. Now I'll pack more seasonal vegetables or fruits in my lunche boxes.

Great point Kim Everyone is aware that human inteligence developed because of cooked food right? The reason primates dont have large brains is because they cant chew enough in one day to absorb the caloric density to develop a brain. No I repeat No early Human society ever excisted on a majority raw or even vegan diet.
I would not feed my child raw for at least 18 years give him or her the choice and feed them a rich nutritionally balanced Caloricly dense diet. Remember calories have only been demonized the last century.

chicken nuggets and chocolate milk? gross. I would have gotten sick by that mix. To each their own, I know several kids whose parents follow raw veganism and they are so beautiful and healthy. One of the is 13 year old gorgeous young boy.

CalWillCO I disagree with you. It is quite likely that when humans were having troubles finding enough food in the past, they needed to branch out and eat things like meats and cooked grains, etc., but now there is no shortage of food available to most of us, so we can be selective and pick the most nutrient dense foods available for our bodies. Obviously this person in the video has had no trouble developing a brain as she got a full ride scholarship to Vanderbilt university when she was younger and now she runs a successful co-op and youtube channel.

it's terrible that they do that to kids. my younger relatives can't even eat lunch at their school because they only have a few minutes. When i was a kid, we got a whole hour and i could eat all the fruit and veggies i wanted.

Raw carrots and broccoli are great, however people may need a dip to entice them to eat more than one. I would suggest maybe a raw sunflower or cashew "ranch" dip in a small container. There are diy recipes online.

Many of the commenters are looking at this and saying not enough greens. I think we are forgetting that this is only lunch. I personally am a raw vegan and I usually only eat fruit for lunch. Then when I get homr I eat a HUGE green salad. We need to start looking at the whole picture and not just one part. Like another person commented: this is way better than a sandwich and chips which children often eat for lunch as a part of the standard American diet which it isn't questioned!

Must let you know that my 13 old year daughter is my biggest supporter through this challenge! She was her whole life very difficult through the food choices and I thought that she is going to hate my raw idea. But on contrary - she is taking the raw smoothie every day to school, she loved the raw apple pie and even taking raw lazanja or noodles in her lunch box!
This is the best super extra bonus I could ever imagine! She loved this video, so I should give you two thumbs up, but she doesn't have her you tube channel yet, so I will just write it here
So, thanks again Kristina, and be proud

I've never met a child who didn't like fruit. I've known a few who didn't like certain vegetables, like brussels sprouts or lima beans, but they would all eat an apple if it were given to them. Most of my younger relatives are the opposite, they have to be forced by their family members to eat meat or dairy.

It's so funny how Americans call Kiwifruit "Kiwi". Here in New Zealand, since our national icon/animal is the cute little Kiwi Bird, we call ourselves Kiwi's. So every time I hear someone say they're going to eat a Kiwi, it takes me a moment to realise what they're actually saying. When I first watched this, I wasn't actually looking at the screen, I was writing, so when I heard that I had a "Hold on - what did she just say?" moment. Awkward... :P Anyways, great ideas. I will try them for my little brother when he gets back to school. And maybe I'll eat these too! They look good :)

Yes but a raw vegan diet is not at all healthy, it can have a it is very difficult to get the nutrients you need, especially iron, calcium, iodine, lysine, overall protein, the list goes on. The accesibility of the nutrients is also reduced because of all the fibre in the raw fruits and vegetables. The sheer amount of volume in this diet would also make it even more difficult for an anyone to get enough calories and nutrients, let alone a child. It is very irresponsible to promote this poor diet to anyone, especially parents and their kids. It would be much cheaper and infinitely healthier to eat a normal vegan diet implementing cooked foods and plenty of legumes nuts and seeds as well as grains and fresh produce (plus a b12 supplement and/or multivitamin) with some fortified plant milks, and mock meats or protein rich foods mixed in. Please do some of your own research using sources that are government or registered dietition approved and ask a doctor if you really feel the need to go raw.

People exaggerate the prices so much.. Yeah, only rich people can afford apples and bananas? No one is telling you to buy blueberries and raspberry, its only a small part of her IDEAS for lunch (aka you can add and remove to make it more affordable). Besides if you don't wanna spend that much on food, then don't.. and don't watch her videos just to spam the comment section with "its too expensive".. No, its too expensive for YOU, where YOU live, according to YOU. Where I live I just buy local greens, and its not expensive at all..

I had that problem in high school too. I ended up taking a cooler to school, one of those fairly big red and white ones you'd find at walmart or target. I put icepacks in it and I packed up chopped up apples with almond butter (I always cut the apples the morning of school, so they wouldn't turn too brown). I made a salad too and that saved well (put the dressing in a small container on the side so the lettuce won't get too soggy). I made sure I brought a few bananas too, I put the whole bananas in there so I wouldn't have to worry about them browning. Also, grapes are awesome for bringing to school. Pack some nuts and dried fruit too to keep you satiated. That sounds like a lot, but it will all fit in the cooler and it will be enough to keep you full for the time at school. Sure, I looked like a doof walking around high school with a big red cooler, but when people asked about it, I just said "This is what I need to stay eating healthy". And no one really bothered me about it after the first few days.

I tried taking cut bananas to work yesterday and they all turned brown by lunchtime. Today I took them as is and they still turned brown. I would love to have mono meals for lunch at work. Which fruit would work best? From the time I pack them to lunchtime would be 5 hours. I live in India so please suggest some fruit which is locally available.

My children also take a big chunky strong and sturdy lunch box cooler to school. They can actually even sit on it and it keeps everything cool with lots of ice packs. Some other poor kids sit on the concrete and eat peanut butter sandwiches. It makes mine feel special.

You burn up raw food much faster than processed foods. It looks like a lot but it's enough for a lunch serving,

I don't agree with the comment I posted anymore. I started eating raw foods until dinner (sorry K, not trying to support something diff on your channel) & I've realized eating only 1 or 2 bananas I will be starving just an hour later. It seems like a lot until you try it. You might get full off of 2 bananas but then you will be hungry again right after.

Nopes. Kids are way more active than adults. Some of them hyperactive even. They definitely need it.

Parents shouldn't be forcing their children to eat raw, they would more then likely go through their school days starving because there would never be enough time to eat all of that food.
