- Vlog #4 in Japan and we head to the auctions. I've been mentioning buying a super car and I think this might be it.. What do you guys think of the Liberty Walk Ferrari 360 Modena?! It's also got a gated 6 speed manual..

The CEL is probably from an aftermarket exhaust. For maintenance, you don't have to worry about going to a dealer since they won't touch a modified car. There's probably a speciality shop in your area that can handle it though.

When Brian from Hoonigan bought his 360, he mentioned how easy the 360 was to work on. idk how true that is but.. you have the tools and the hands to get things done like you do already. I say go for it! its sick and a dream car like you said.

One of my favorite things about Japan is nobody pulls in into parking spots everyone is backed in their whole country backs into parking spaces it makes hella sense I love it

The freeways (pretty much everyone of them is a toll road) are CRAZY expensive in Japan. That's why a lot of people take the side roads and takes forever to get to where you want to go.
@picture_spotting606 Does it make sense? I mean, hearing 'it's crazy expensive' doesn't make sense to me. Expensive compared to public transport in Japan? OP mentions 'using this card, will give you the cost of the toll depending on how far you've travelled'. Okay, so using public transport like a train or bus in Japan, covering the same distance, would cost how much?
Now we can make some kind of 'omg that's expensive / inexpensive' statement. Otherwise you're just saying 'omg that's expensive' with nothing to compare it to. Then you need to ask 'why is it expensive', is at due to it being newly built? Is it to deter people from driving, whilst encouraging them to use public transport?

I' ve always loved the ferrari 360 modena. it was a car built way ahead of its time and still looks amazing today. fair play to you brother.
Owning a Liberty Walk car gets you into the Liberty Walk club events, I don't know about shipping it outside the country but I'm sure if you get in with them they can put you on to more money, more Japanese deals and good vibes all around. They got some cool shit going on year round and typically have their own booth every other car event like Tokyo Auto Salon. It's an additional value-add to the investment of a Ferrari if you do buy in, personally a check engine light could mean so many things but I mean the engine was there so you're straight.
Small things can throw an error code like that, if it didn't sound weird on start up -during idle and revving it, you might not be looking at too much. I would budget $50k though for problems, most of the Liberty Walk cars/owners especially the exotics babied their cars and typically sell/auction for cash towards newer cars.

Maintenance on a 360 supposedly isnt all that bad (at least when it comes to Ferraris). I dont believe you have to like remove the engine for basic and semi-basic maintenance items. My old neighbor had a 360 back in the day, and daily drove it, he also had a Testarossa that just sat in the garage. I live in a relatively small town and i still know some competent indies that would likely work on it. I've always had a soft spot for 360s, especially a gated manual one.

I still think that japan has one of the most badass car cultures, i love my American v8's but the nissan skyline gtr r34 is so kickass, also the fact they drive on the right hand makes so much more sense
16:59 is the best part of the video :D 1000% relatable and completely regardless of car brand :D Countless people who bought a car above their means just because it was cheap and they really wanted to own it one day just to find out they can't :D I did that once too but it actually kickstarted me really good because it was a hell of a motivation to get better so I can keep the car.

you can very easily use your outreach to get in touch with a specialty shop that works on cars like this, and 360s are arguably one of the easiest ferarris to work on (not that thats easy tho), so depending on how low the price is it might be worth
go get it randy!! check engine light is probably the aftermarket exhaust... worst case you can always k-swap it later on hehehe

Amazing 360 man looks so tough and the 6 speed stick is sharp my dad had the F1 auto it was sloppy and lagging gear ⚙️ 2 gear now it's F8 dual clutch so no issues and it's Mo-de-na

If you can Import it maybe buy it but at the same time super cars are more for personal use for UA-camrs I don’t think you can make much content with it to cover the costs. So it’s a tough call and maintenance will be a lot as well. It you have a Luke to work on the cars lol😂. It is a flex and a rare spec being a manual and as long as it’s a real liberty walk maybe you can flip it in the states. Also try to contact liberty walk to see if it’s a real car they built. Either way I’m tuning in

unique factor is 1000 percent worth it, as previously stated check engine is likely from mods. Every vehicle out there is just nuts and bolts, you wont have to use dealer as many of the systems on 1999 are not incredibly complicated. Liberty kit makes this car flawless. Engine sounded like it was running healthy.

The graphics on these things are incredible, the detail and shading and AI NPC interactions are very life like, their mannerisms, behaviour and movements all look very natural and realistic.👍

I’d say pass and get a super car you really want. The liberty walk is sick but with that price point you definitely have a lot of options. Grab one in the US so you don’t have to worry about shipping/legal. Been a illiminate fam for a min and it’s a tradition you guys transform cars from stock to fully built. This one’s modded out and I’m sure if you buy any super car back home and do the things you would like to do to it, it’ll do a lot for content! 😅 at the end of the day it’s up to you! I’m always here to support.

Modded supercars go for the same as stock if not cheaper so ur saving money
OK her is what i think. Everyone is scared to work on such a car, but the content you will get from working on this car will be insane. Im sure you have the tools. Dont be scared to work on your car. Man when i had my BMW i never took it to a dealership always to a normal mechanic and it always got fixed for less than half the price. Dont let that scare you from enjoying what you want. Life is about taking risk. If it breaks then take the time to fix it. You have a great group of guys that seem like they would love to hlp you work on it if you asked them. I say go for it man.
