Another helmeted head sculpt with neck articulation and no lighting would have solved the problem. Maybe in the future Mezco will include one with future releases 🤔
I love the light up effects. But they could include a different peg that allows for head articulation rather than the lights. The best would be to allow for both. I am just thinking if it can be done, but a joint will be hard to do with the wiring.
I am beyond excited for this release. Mine just shipped this week. Just bought one of the early mini-series as well as some of Neil Gaiman’s The Books of Magic. I think now I’m gonna have to check out some of his appearances in JSA.
Nice review that's a good looking figure! They could've mimic what Comicave did with their figures. Not much articulation either for Comicave heads but at least there's a little head tilt up and down. Edit: I'm more excited for Mezco Ultraman! Gotta get that one. 😁
Beautiful shots as always D! McFarlane just announced an Injustice Dr. Fate. I’ve been able to use the hands and effects of my Mezco John Stewart with the Dawn Breaker’s wrist pegs (they were smaller) on the new McFarlane John Stewart to great effect. I also used Mezco Blade’s hands on McFarlane Red Hood by heating them up = Next level fun and poses! I’m sure you could do this with Dr. Fate’s hands.
Mezco could have made those FX pieces work better if they had used the same color on their arm attachments as are on the effects. I think it would have made them more eye friendly.

Great Review like always but NECA figure this out years ago with the Isaac Clarke dead space figure and that was 25 bucks At a 100+ price points mezco can do better i believe in them lol
I used to love them until they did the story to end them by keeping them in a battle loop. That was a stupid plot line even though they have since rebooted the team and got them out of the purgatory loop.

Idk why they haven’t done another head with lights like the armored batman head. It has a button on the lower back and it allows all the articulation

6 inches is way too small. Mcfarlane and Storm Collectibles scales are so much better.
