Oh nooo, I can’t take the decorations down until well into the first week of January. My kids are all grown, and I love the noise and chaos of everyone being together, so when they leave it’s painfully quiet. I need the decorations to cheer me up until I transition into New Year, new goals mode. Johnny is a rockstar for putting that Home Alone Lego set together. Well done! I start taking down my decorations- gradually from Boxing day onwards so that it doesnt feel too bare. I must confess I am a bit bah humbug about the decorations and keep it to a bare minimum as I can't stand them being around once Christmas is over! I would love to get my Christmas decorations and tree packed up but unfortunately I have the flu or Covid despite having both Covid shots and a flu shot. My husband made me a cup of tea and it really soothed my throat and chest which felt very sore. Lots of chicken and rice soup is lovely too although I’m not crazy about it when I’m well. The home alone Lego is FANTASTIC! I lost one of ,y close school friends suddenly in Sept, she would have absolutely loved it! We watch home alone 1&2 EVERY Christmas Eve! I am going to start at the beginning of your channel ( log the vlogs and mark them off) so I don’t miss you too much! My hubby likes watching you and he doesn’t get my you tube addiction! We have been really poorly over Christmas with COVID, I am still quite poorly but am able to knit a bit again so hope to finish my le bateaux sweater this week and wear it on my birthday tomorrow 😀 you inspired me to pick my needles up again and can’t thank you enough! I knit a scarf like yours but I sewed the ends together and it’s easier to wear several different ways, my favourite is like a hood with the rest around my neck. I find wool scarves a pain to wear, they are always falling off . Wishing the best for 2022 for you all.🥳🍾🥂🙋🏼♀️

I knit a scarf like yours but I sewed the ends together and it’s easier to wear several different ways, my favourite is like a hood with the rest around my neck. I find wool scarves a pain to wear, they are always falling off . Wishing the best for 2022 for you all.🥳🍾🥂🙋🏼♀️

Thank you for making me happy all year. You are such a wonderful person. I loved your party and a glimpse of Meg! I start gradually taking my decorations down after Boxing day but the tree stays until after New Year. My twins were born 4th January so everything had to be away when they were young for the birthday celebrations. I do miss that but like you said they have to grow up. I'm impatiently waiting for Great Grand children xx

I also love that you get a Nan hamper - my mom used to do something similar and it was always such fun because you never knew what sort of oddball things she would put in there.

I have really enjoyed vlogmas with you and your family and feel the same as you about the decorations this year so am going with the original 12 days of Christmas and taking my tree etc down on 6th January, the day after the twelfth night. Happy 2022
