GMTV in LNN Studio7 640am until 730am

I remember them using that studio in 1993, too. It was during construction of the new set which imitated the look of TV-am. I couldn't say how long they were there for, only a short few days though. But it created a really pleasant atmosphere. It beggars belief though that Daybreak took it on and nobody realised that 6am = dark for a large part of the year. Even so, I did actually still like it. It was nice to get a real backdrop for once, even if you couldn't actually see anything. I'm not really keen on fake backdrops. But, I do concede that the fake windows on GMB are a more practical solution for that time in the morning. It actually looks quite good, I think it may actually fool a lot of people. What I do like most, is that they take enough care to play out images which roughly match the actual light levels outside at any given time. But it's a shame the real view from the LNN studio didn't work out for a breakfast show, it's a stunning view from there.

The other issue is that the sun rises behind St Pauls so straight after the pitch blackness it became armageddon sunlight. Nice for about 6 months of the year though!
