honestly the best videos that teach such concepts to great details I have found on youtube!! Thank you, you are the reason for my good score in immunology.
Indeed this is important. Thanks for pointing out . At the 4.00-4.30 timestamp of the video it is mentioned that T cell dependent activation is kind of prerequisite for somatic hypermutation. But I agree, it should be stated clearly that it's a process to create highly specific antibodies.
I love the animations and content and I've shared your videos with my friends. But I have one advice: please increase the volume of the videos. Thank you so much! 🇵🇰

Thank you sir for that overview of WHY this somatic hypermutation must happen in the first place. I guess you can think about it like two defenses chaing their strategies (their DNA or their biological makeup ) to have an advantage over the other side because they (the host antibodies or the antigen (bacteria, viruses)) keep changing to adapt to their environment.
After watching the video, I must say the way of explaining is outstanding. I have a doubt: in somatic hypermutation, mutations occur at the genetic level with the assistance of AID mainly. Still, the entire process is being considered a somatic process. why so?
Good point. They name this kind of mutations somatic mutation because these are not inherited. Germline mutations are changes to your DNA that you inherit from the egg and sperm cells during conception. Somatic mutations are changes to your DNA that happen after conception to cells other than the egg and sperm.
thanks for the video, I have a question though: in 4:11, you showed the interaction of B cell / Th in the paracortex region, are you sure this is where it happens? because as far as I know, B cells don't enter the paracortex region, they stay in the outer cortex and they move to its edge and stay there waiting for passing-by Th cells to recognize their MHC-II. To sum up, I think all of this occurs on the edge where the Th in the paracortex facing the B cell in the cortex exchanging signals.
The T cells are in the parafollicular/paracortical region. B cell can go to parafollicular region but they cant go inside the mantle zone of follicle (until activated by any antigen , either self or foreign) and can't go inside germinal centre of follicle (unless gets activated by foreign pathogen and gets permission from t cell) If you want cd markers then - cd 5 and cd23 . If you still haven't understood anything you can ask again
Hi bro... beautifully explained...i luv ur content...I want to learn how to make these kind of videos, diagrams? I am using adobe illustrator (cracked version)..but i don't know how to use it....do u create each and every diagram by modifying the basic shapes?

Correction- Somatic hypermutation is for generation of antibody specificity which is antigen dependent.
