I have constantly been talked to about my abrasiveness and lack of empathy throughout my military career. I've developed better as a leader by reading body language and using better engagement techniques to help me influence others. I've learned to be less intense, unless it's necessary -- it totally shuts down the timid. Either way, if you can work on better EQ with this type of personality, you'll be even more accomplished and inspire even more people.

ENTJ female here, I’ve never met another ENTJ in the real world. Interesting so many online. I would trade my type for a full nights sleep. People think I’m an ESFJ at 1st glance until they discover my lack of Fe then they become confused and think maybe she wasn’t feeling well today. People also think I should be a nurse or teacher. I’ve spent my life thinking people are idiots or I’m a sociopath. Now I know it’s Te that makes me put others before myself. It’s involuntary and people think its Fe compassion when all I really want to know is how you think and what you like.

Don't tone it down. We believe in hard work so work hard and find someone that fits your needs. Setteling for less is not only doomed to fail in the long term but also a certain way to become unhappy. We work too hard to just take what's available at the first glance.
really felt 5:00 high standards for those I keep close, even if the few close friends I have are bizarrely different from each other. I feel we are very quick to judge because of these relatively unusual standards we have for others. It is very easy for me to just know if I will get along well with someone (or not) within a few minutes of meeting them. I think we take first impressions very seriously + ties into that trait of not caring about holding back for giving out criticisms and feedback lol very much driven by wanting to optimize every aspect of our lives.
Both my wife and I are ENTJ-A..... according to all the tests we have done, at least. At home, we kinda have to give and take many times. Sometimes, we both are just too eager to decide that we have many arguments. But at the same time, I feel like we are so similar that we totally understand each other. She wants to start a company with me and I still consider if that is a good idea...
ENTJ here, from 1:00 to 1:34 was a complete waste of time and extremely inefficient, and I feel angry wasting even more time writing about it when you could’ve thought this through and excluded that useless part from the beginning.
I also did the same thing and i kept testing out as ENTJ but I believe the problem is that you are thinking Introversion and Extravertion as being shy or not shy, but truly Extravertion and Introversion is just to see where you take in your energy from wether you look inward for your energy and sense of belonging (Introversion) or you look outward for praise or confirmation or just like to be around people (Extravertion). In this case an the Extravert trait means your more outspoken and like to talk about your ideas. I hope this helped you.
I'm an entj as well and most would assume I'm an introvert until they see me in a setting I'm comfortable. Shy and introverted are not the same being a shy extrovert is incredibly difficult from my exp.
No no it's not the same as talking too much or little it's extraverted THINKING, like thinking how something plays out socially... I can be both extravert or introvert, ENTJs think first whether it's worth their time to be extraverted.....
my friend is the same way. i think most entjs are more independent, but not necessarily introverted. its all on a scale so maybe you are like 40% introverted and 60% extraverted... you can be less social but it doesn't necessarily mean youre introverted
I struggle with some of these traits. I’m much more understanding of people than this would make it appear. It’s just handling and processing their actual emotions that I find hard
Leelee the Great it’s one of the weirdest combinations. I’m emotional yet like to take charge, I’m empathetic, but I have no room for self sabotage. Imma need my brain to pick because it’s annoyingggggg 😂
The personal competence of me in my chosen fields is extremley high, the ego is definetly too high sometimes but being aware of the arrogance helps and I wouldn't say self centered, I just don't care for a lot of people if they aren't worth the attention. In numbers, 1 low 5 high; [4|1-3|2] 4 (not a genius but cleverer and more capable than the majority, I like to say definetly above average but not to a degree that would win a Nobel piece effortlessly) , 1-3 (can vary sigificantly, it isn't something you can just write of as a single constant, I know some people are smarter aso. but again, they are a very small minorit), 2 (as mentioned before, if you are an interesting person, I will listen to your stories and remember them, if not, I won't even bother to remeber your name)
haha love it! Male ENTJ here - Someone else here who wants to become a billionaire and build the biggest life changing brand in the world in his field?
I always thought that becoming a billionaire is nice but that you can have a better life with slightly less funds but more time to actually live it. No matter how much funds you have, you can not buy life time (yet) and while I love working I would not want to spent my life in pursuit of a goal that is ultimatley an overkill. Sure, it would help the ego but is that worth it? Maybe. I think it's easy to spend a lot of time trying to live up to your own standards but failing because you don't work for your satisfaction but for simply getting there. I don't need a billion dollars but I really would like reaching said number. Sure, we could certainly achieve a lot with that much money but what's in it for us? What does that actually do for us? Status? Luxury? At what point does that cost outweigh the reward? If we had some kind of gurantee that we could use these funds, perhaps to fuel some scientific discovery to prolong our existence or even save us from death itself, then I would definetly see the logic behind that plan but I would like to hear your take on the matter. Why would you like to become a billionaire? You mentioned life changing which I definetly find interesting but subjectively not that appealing as I thought it implies a change for everyone which may not benefit myself as an individual.
Yes indeed. It frightens most chaps (who are worth having) off. I was once told I am a male homosexual in a female body!! It was only in my late 40s that I eventually learned to be more self aware and soften my approach. I'm now happily in a partnership of 14+ years. It can be done.
So, basically these tests are doing is creating very neat, somewhat limited fields to classify differences in personality. The tests themselves measure your answers according to a preexisting procedure. That means by nature, these tests can fail, they can lead you to wrong results if you interpret an answer differently and they are not absolute. I am 100% an ENTJ as this personality matches by far the most with my approach to life but as you noticed I said by far. Basically, to be 100% accurate this test would need proabbly millions of surcharts with small variations, even mixing diffrent characteristics. So let's just say that the tests are efficient but only to determine how close you are to one of the preexisting types. Any nuances you might have, are lost. It's a bit like an IQ test claiming to measure intelligence while it really only measures a few fields of what we describe as intelligence. You can try various methods to find your "main" types. Comparing what you got, reading descriptions and trying scenarios that change the way you take the test. For example, I read that if you took this test in an ideal rules formed by your own ideas. How would you truthfully answer?
I think I'm an ENTJ. But, I don't have much do confidence...I think it has to do with being a social outcast and being ignored for so long. Then again maybe I'm an ISFP. I don't know. People have so many mixed views about me that I'm complete confused. I'm trying gain more confidence and get out of my unhealthy habits.
Female ENTJ-A Commander here. I was in denial about me being one, I thought I just happened to have a strong personality than the others when I'm placed in one room. It all changed 3 years ago, I was dating this guy who was sweet, and embodies all the emotional stuff women likes, except me. I felt bad for him, in the end, we parted ways. He got married, I'm still single, earning my PhD. Meanwhile, my parents are literally dragging me to any nd all events there is to "possibly" meet my Mr. Right. But there are men who just can't stand an opinionated woman and I can never tolerate idiots who think they are awesome, but still are at an entry level job at 35. (No offense to entry level job workers, his case was different. He's from a well off family so, he kinda likes his dad's money than working for his own) This just doesn't sit well with me and my values. So, buhbye. 😂🤣
Lol hahahah totally get you. Im an ENTJ with ENTP as secondary. Finding good possible guys so is hard. Totally agree on the entry level job thing. When i turn 35, i want to be retired so i can live. Thats possible in America, so why not? Every time i meet a cute guy, i ask myself "am i going to steamroll him? Can he handle the heat?" Sounds terrible but im high energy. Can't turn it off.
@@emjhendrickson8290 When you are 35 you won't be able to retire. Financially you might but our ENTJ brains don't do well at all in retirement. I speak from experience as I am in my 50's took a few years off and I am really not doing well. Without the interaction and challenges that energize us a retirement lifestyle is really tough. Of course ENTJ's that retire are the jerks who run home owners associations and things like that so they can try to keep themselves stimulated.
I love comparing the videos of ENTJ & ENFJ -- thinking v. feeling. One is branded an asshole and one is branded an ultra-caring individual, night an day The Commander v. The Protagonist. I learned as an ENTJ to emulate more "feeling" qualities through studying and raising one's Emotional Intelligence, especially reading the vibe from people. You soon realize if you are in a managerial role how important Emotion IQ is to overall productivity & commitment to an organization or project your team will have, and it's worth the investment in yourself. I don't know why every video of ENTJ insists that Thinking can't lead you to a similar conclusion in your outward behavior than F.
I accepted part of my cold and ruthless side when its needed to get things done so what if im called a dictator or a good leader . Better than being an incompetent loser . Terms of career i like to have a buissness in fashion as the head designer . Its true on building freinds earn my respect , guess intjs earns my respect as they are fun to be with and their scary side excites me when its not aimed at me and appreciate the teamwork as a leader too , feelings can be hard to show too haha
I am ENTJ. Did you put that little war snippet in at the beginning just to prove that I am an ENTJ and the wasting of my time and not getting to the point is annoying?
Invictus Prime absolutely. The NT means your Perceiving function is Intuition, and your Judging function is Thinking. The J or P just signals which is your dominant function. So if you’re a combination, it just means it’s not fully clear which one your dominant function is, but they are the same whichever way
its all on a scale so you could be close to 50/50 for judging/perceiving. some of the traits will be exaggerated if you are 50/50 but your extrovertedness, intuitiveness and thinking seem pretty set in place
From an outsider's view, ENTJ just seems like your average sociopath and I'm saying this as an INTJ which isn't suppose to be that far away yet I still find a lot of characteristics odd. I mean, trying to be extremely successful without caring about what happens to anyone besides you, the fact that you desperately want people to know you succeeded, the highly judgemental lifestyle and the lack of empathy is concerning for me since they're all real signs of sociopathy, perhaps I'm misunderstanding but no matter how much I gather info about this personality, I can't seem to change my mind.
It can't be that all entj types are the same. I am an entj but I am not ruthless with other people. I would never want to be associated with Gordon Ramsey. There must be more to this. When I think of horoscopes, not all libras are the same. There is the ascendant that gives some variation to the theme. That entjs are cold is not true. Maybe as a leader you don't want to show a weak spot, depending on the circumstances. We are very soft, romantic and have an aesthetic taste. We are helpful if we can make the world a better place. I believe that most historical figures that shaped our history were entjs.
Because we have an extremley high potential. It's not necessarily something we do but if someone can make it in this world, it are people us. We have the abilities to be competing at the very top. When one believes that hard work pays of and has the means to accomplish them - as we do, we can theoretically outmatch most people. But that's theory. In reality, we can still be held back by personal problems, there are a multitude of variations one could cite and in conclusion, at the end of the day we are only human.
I am an ENTJ also. I have had times where I struggled but others could see great potential in me, far more than I saw in myself. When I started to use that belief as an energy to get me going my career took of and I became what most would consider to be successful.

So im not a Tomboy...Im ENTJ personality. Wow total change of perspective. Always stood out from the crowd. I can be leader but sometimes ppl afraid to vote me in. It's understandable. I got a lot of growing to do. That's why i watch this stuff. I got potential for big things. I feel it. But i need to learn first.
Nice self awareness. How's it been going for you?
ENTJ here, deemed bossy, controlling and have a take charge attitude and have very few friends because of this. Often disliked because of my confidence and can’t stand lack of productivity. I’m 40 and I’m okay with all of it!

Thank you for your honesty😂😂😂
@@msjulie3613 Update: Im making a living online as an affiliate marketer and have a pretty solid downline in my MLM too haha.
Good luck AND good fortune Mr.'s Tip! See you topside😉
You'd be pissed off if you were an ENTJ
I’m the same mate. Broke As F!! Although it’s not for want of trying. Always had businesses, some have worked (for a while) and others haven’t.
The learning curve coupled with our drive to succeed, have got my business (in aviation training) funding contracts. Hopefully, just like you - a little bit of luck - everything will fall into place
Your presentation is not bad but it’s disappointing that all you’ve done is just read this off some website. I’ve seen/heard these words before
It would have been better if you’ve done independent research on the subject and you actually contribute a unique perspective

Hats off to you, madam lady! 😝🤑😲😄
Lol Hi. ENTJ Male :3
Lol probably not
I have constantly been talked to about my abrasiveness and lack of empathy throughout my military career. I've developed better as a leader by reading body language and using better engagement techniques to help me influence others. I've learned to be less intense, unless it's necessary -- it totally shuts down the timid. Either way, if you can work on better EQ with this type of personality, you'll be even more accomplished and inspire even more people.
ENTJ here and I love the journey to success and hate keeping my room a mess as it corresponds to my mind
Female ENTJ here. I use Google Calendar more than I use IMessage.
Gary Vaynerchuck is an ENTJ. Watch his everyday videos, you'll know how ENTJ he is.
He's quite sound competitive to people when giving motivational videos. Not only a typical business Guru that often point "just do it" instead, he delivers a right criticism when motivating.
ENTJ. I don't mind being hated, because I know who and what I am. So when you're dissing me, remember to add the terms successful, dominant and iconic when you discuss me.

We definetly are arrogant, aren't we. And at the core, we couldn't care less because we know that most of the time, we are right about this feeling of superperiority.

I took a quiz maybe for the 3rd time now and i had 3 result which really i am, ENTJ-ENTP-ENFJ im also a Virgo Sun Aries Rising and Scorpio Moon... ENTJ- the commander, ENTP- the protagonist and ENFJ- the teacher... im quiet in awe with my results... and those are relevant with what i notice with myself..
ENTP is not protagonist...just saying
Woaw 1%? I’m feeling special right now 😂😂
ENTJ here. This was best video I have heard about us!
House of Cards is my favorite show and I would honestly vote for Frank Underwood for President. I now know why, lol.
Same. When they wrote off his character it became obvious to me how grey, boring and inauthentic Claire was the whole time. Couldn't watch it afterwards. Frank was FIRE!
As an ENTJ I agree I believe in facts not emotions. Achievements are motivational.
Lovely summary! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you! ❤️💐💕
i am a ENTJ!!

Proud Commander right here!! 💖
As an ENTJ female, dating is soooo hard. Everyone just seems weak and i keep thinking maybe I have to tone it down- which i cannot, unfortunately. :/
Don't tone it down. We believe in hard work so work hard and find someone that fits your needs. Setteling for less is not only doomed to fail in the long term but also a certain way to become unhappy. We work too hard to just take what's available at the first glance.
Entj here. Natural inclination is to tear somone apart for being inefficient and effective. But you hold back no matter how much they annoy you.
Here I am, Planning my tomorrow while watching this.
really felt 5:00 high standards for those I keep close, even if the few close friends I have are bizarrely different from each other.

That was a great video, I learned alot about myself within this
I don't understand difference entp and entj.... Can someone be both at different times
I keep taking the personality test, and I keep coming out as an ENTJ, I think I’m more INTJ as I’m more introverted but not completely. Thoughts ?
I also did the same thing and i kept testing out as ENTJ but I believe the problem is that you are thinking Introversion and Extravertion as being shy or not shy, but truly Extravertion and Introversion is just to see where you take in your energy from wether you look inward for your energy and sense of belonging (Introversion) or you look outward for praise or confirmation or just like to be around people (Extravertion). In this case an the Extravert trait means your more outspoken and like to talk about your ideas. I hope this helped you.
Galactic_Gamer YT thanks. Helped out a lot
I’m an ENTJ female, a Pisces, and an empath hm

For those of you who confidently identify as an ENTJ, how would you rate yourself on your own competence? Your own ego? Tendency to be self-centered?
Conflicted. Theres an undeniable drive to achieve great things but also dont want to be a self centered jerk.
The personal competence of me in my chosen fields is extremley high, the ego is definetly too high sometimes but being aware of the arrogance helps and I wouldn't say self centered, I just don't care for a lot of people if they aren't worth the attention.
In numbers, 1 low 5 high;
[4|1-3|2]
4 (not a genius but cleverer and more capable than the majority, I like to say definetly above average but not to a degree that would win a Nobel piece effortlessly) , 1-3 (can vary sigificantly, it isn't something you can just write of as a single constant, I know some people are smarter aso. but again, they are a very small minorit), 2 (as mentioned before, if you are an interesting person, I will listen to your stories and remember them, if not, I won't even bother to remeber your name)
haha love it!
It's impossible for me to find a husband because I'm naturally the pursuer...
me too
Yes indeed. It frightens most chaps (who are worth having) off. I was once told I am a male homosexual in a female body!! It was only in my late 40s that I eventually learned to be more self aware and soften my approach. I'm now happily in a partnership of 14+ years. It can be done.
I have tested as an entj but I have doubts about the efficiency of the test.... especially since I test as other types sometimes too.
Alicia B I agree as I have totally grown in wisdom and after many years of healing my inner child!
Of course ENTJ's that retire are the jerks who run home owners associations and things like that so they can try to keep themselves stimulated.

it me! thanks for making videos so i don’t make people so uncomfortable 🥰

Is it possible to be a combination of entp and entj?
Invictus Prime absolutely. The NT means your Perceiving function is Intuition, and your Judging function is Thinking. The J or P just signals which is your dominant function. So if you’re a combination, it just means it’s not fully clear which one your dominant function is, but they are the same whichever way
Im a combo of entp and entj. Usually im more entp when im pmsing... 😅
its all on a scale so you could be close to 50/50 for judging/perceiving. some of the traits will be exaggerated if you are 50/50 but your extrovertedness, intuitiveness and thinking seem pretty set in place

ENTJ here
Didn't realize we were that rare.
Female ENTJ, also Virgo with Virgo ascendent. Cosmic joke... I want war.

Do ENTJ'S like ENFP'S and if so, why?
Weird...Although I'm jobless and broke, everyone around me says that one day I'll make it big but they don't know how to explain it...i'm entj
Haha ENTJ female here.
