Colin. A fabulous model! Having had a life long interest in the Regia Marina, it is great to see someone recreate one of the warships! Is it ever shown to the public? Regards, Bob
6:57 Zara had most probably a red hull: only Fiume among the Zara Class ship had the green one as only the ship built in Trieste and Venice had access to the green anti fouling which was made by a chemical plant in the same area. Livorno and La Spezia had access to more common Red anti fouling. For the same reasons, Roma and Vittorio Veneto had a green Hull, while Littorio and Impero had the Red paint. It might happen that a ship dry docked in Venice or Trieste was repainted Green there, but it is a case by case situation. For some reason for example the RN Giulio Cesare had a green hull as it was transferred to the URSS after WWII, most probably having been dry docked in the Adriatic during the war.
That is some fabulous paint job May i ask how you store your models ? As dust could be a huge nightmare especially when they settled in the gap between the superstructure , masts and turrets
@@rcmodelwarships6893 that's a shame to store it in the trailer where its not seen it would be better tho have that on display on a wooden stand with clear case over it.
@@bobbyrayofthefamilysmith24 i think its to do with the weight, and moving the model in and out of the trailer. its also fragile so the less its moved the better
Respectfully saying sir I love this caddy u have built I have a battleship fletcher class destroyer battle ship Your caddy is awesome sincerely battleship
What a load of bollocks having to go through all that crap .. why not simply make its own trailer that just comesout downa ramp ? all that lifting here and there and using 2 lift devices is just bullshit .. 46 kilo is not exactly going to kill anyone moving that around...

the ship is stored in the trailer that you see, which is then stored in a garage

How do you launch and move your models about, maybe by mouth !!
46 kilo's is about 100lbs in weight. could you imagine lifting that several times with all those detailed parts?
