Looks great, I also have one at that scale but 3d printed. At first that's what I thought yours was too but great it's a traditional scratch build and lot of good scale detail there. Can I ask what motor and prop size you have used? as mine has a habit of toasting motors even with motor cooling, I think I have a prop that is too big.

Paul Griffin asked. Those are very accurately placed portholes and scuttles. How did you make the holes? I've found using a standard twist drill in thin wood gives a very raggedy finish. Reply: the portholes on Exeter are actually small washers.... to drill them out would be a nightmare there's 72 on Exeter it's cheating l know but no one has ever noticed in years WULL

Every time I watch these video's I am amazed by the skill of these modelers and quite jealous of their skills. I tried my hand at basic plastic models and found I had shaky hands that made a ship that resembled nothing on this planet. I was even ashamed when people saw it, even when it was headed for the trash.

The HMS Aldenham was the last British manned ship to go down during the second World War.

I thought that it was a kit that could be bought. I didn't know also that it was a remote. Love it though as my dad walked the decks along with his Shipmates. Some I've met a few times at the HMS Aldenham reunions. Thank you for the reply.

Sadly the wreck of HMS Exeter no longer exists thanks to illegal Chinese salvagers, along with other wrecks of the battle of Java sea. The wrecks of Prince of Wales and Repulse face a similar fate. Neat model. 👍🏻

At 1/72 scale, this aircraft carrier must be about 8'0" long. What was needed here was someone to don the appropriate clothes and wade out into the water and stand alongside it, just to give the viewer here a sense of scale BTW, I saw floodlights. Was that a football ground in the background?
