Hi, don't know really. If I start counting I may give up on modelling :) For my p-47 build I have 8.5 hours of footage, which is at least 1/10th of the total time.
Very effective. I like the way you explain the techniques you use while demonstrating them as you apply them to the model. And the end result is what finally ends up convincing you. Great job as usual Mr. Methodiev, congrats!
Great build, even moreso when one considers the scale. That said, we're wondering what the reference to "a larger scale" was about? We know you are well aware of the range of Spitfire's available from Eduard in 1/48 Scale?! If I've misinterpreted you, my apology. Sincere regards from Sydney and Ballina. MATE!
@@MMScaleModels Well, I've never done a 1/72 Eduard Spitfire, but can assure you the 1/48 scale Eduard offering, be it Mk1 thru MkIXc, MkVIII, are on point for superb detail. Again I reiterate, if I'm confused or in error, please excuse my ignorance old son. Sincere & warm regards from Sydney and Ballina mate!
Note that the Tamiya 1/32 Mk IX/VIIII kits are far less accurate in the nose shape than the 1/48 Eduards, having a much too sharp transition from cowling to spinner, when looking down at 45 degrees. Nose top is too broad too far forward, resulting in an abrupt transition to the spinner.
If you place setting solutions (micro sol) both above and below the decals they are attacked on both sides, and usually melt so fine into the matte roughness they cause no silvering. But the paint should be smooth: Matte but not "pebbly" from dry droplets. Airbrushes make "pebbly" dry edges to spray passes, so spray gun or spray cans have finer less "dry" edges to each pass, making overlap to a uniform smoothness easier...
@@liamdemay4710 Gloss varnish produces smooth surface for decals to stick to and minimise the carrier film appearing. Matte varnish at the end to seal and protect the surface and make the model look more realistic rather than shiny plastic.
I'm a simple man. If I see a new MM Scale Models video, I press like and then I watch. Thanks for another very insightful video! Learned a lot! :)
Thanks a lot mate, happy to be of any help 👍
Thanks again for another great video 😊
My pleasure!
Lovely rendition of the classic Spitfire 😊
Thanks mate 👍
@@MMScaleModels you are welcome 😊
Hello how many hours does IT take yOu to make this model excluding drying time 😊

How is appyling gloss varnish before placing decals a controversial topic?
Believe it or not many people claim that it is not necessary to gloss before decals.
@@MMScaleModels I’m pretty new to the model so what is the point of a gloss and matte varnish

Nope, I do not like dirty models, everything was factory fresh at some point :)
That's true but it doesn't look very attractive IMO.
