Isn't she just magical. Did you see that she has organised her own concert at the extremely prestigious Royal Concert Hall in Amsterdam next October, and it fully sold out in under 3 hours. You don't get to perform there unless you are someone special.
Roger - thank you so much for putting out these compilations of Emma videos . I cannot get enough of her, I have been completely captivated since Voila and will never be the same!! I am from the US and trying to get the news out about her. Can't wait for her to get here in the states, I'll be the first in line to get tickets. She is a real natural talent and what gets me is the resonant timber of her voice and it is only getting better in such a short time- beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Keep up the promotion......😊
Thank you for the nice comments. I never set out to do much here. I created the Fred and Friends video as a collage from nearly 60 small clips of video and audio primarily for myself because I wanted to get a better feel for the whole show. I found I could get almost all of Emma's content and could cut it together, albeit a little clumsily in places, but I thought "now I have it, why not share it" in the hope that at least someone might also enjoy seeing her in a slightly different arena. Similar to you it seems, I have been following Emma for about 15 months and am consumed by her talent, her character, and her back story. I particularly like to find links between people and events. Therefore I also like to include a little bit of extra information in my videos that I figure others may find interesting. If you can get the chance to see Emma live, please do it. Emma is fantastic in videos, but it is a whole new experience live. I've seen her live twice, once with Andre Rieu and then the concert I recently went to in Geleen and have posted a video of. My video has poor audio but live it is different class. Both times I saw her live, with that voice, and the emotion, it felt like I had an elephant sitting on my chest; difficult to draw breath. Indescribable really. And consider I have watched Emma on video singing Voila maybe 1000|+ times, probably way more. She still manages to affect me. I am so thankful I got tickets to Emma's own concert at Amsterdam's Concertgebouw next October. One extra little bit of info (and sorry, I talk too much when it comes to Emma)...... I think to make the story easier to tell quickly, they simplify the story of Andre Rieu and Emma's first meeting. They always say Andre was shown Emma's 2023 Ministars performance and that prompted him to invite her to his studio to sing live for him. This of course happened; however, it is clear they met much earlier. Emma sang at a Rendezvous concert at the Parkstad Limburg Theater on 15th June 2022 which was a concert to celebrate 40 years since Andre's first album release. Frank Steijns (first violin in andre's orchestra and Andre's principal music arranger) accompanied Emma on piano that night. Emma and Andre were photographed afterwards together. And earlier than that.... You may have seen Emma singing Hallelujah with the male voice choir 'Maastricht Star' (in her red dress from The Voice at the concert for the victims of the Limburg floods in the Valkenburg town square). After this performance which was on 18th August 2021, Emma and Andre were interviewed together on TV, so they definitely knew each other a full 2 years before 'Voila'. A week earlier Emma had performed with her brother and sister along with Frank Steijns again; this time in Heerlen. So, my assumptions is that Andre and his team saw Emma's raw talent early and were watching for just the right time in her development to put her in front of a big audience, for which Ministars was the prompt, but definitely wasn't the initial sighting of her. Again. sorry I ramble on a bit. 😃
Roger - I have seen all the videos you mention here in my searches for everything Emma. I could talk to you for hours about her, don't worry about the rambling. I have seen photos you mention of her and Andre and suspected he knew about her for some time. I have been a fan of Andre for over 20 years and been to at least a dozen of his concerts here in the states. When Emma joined him last year something very unique and special happened. In my comments on UA-cam to Voila, I stated that the performance was a special moment in the history of music and still stand by that statement!!!. I donate regularly to her foundation and created an Instagram account just to follow her solely, lots of photos and videos there. OK - now I'm rambling 😅😅
Emma's natural tone has just the edge to sing a rock song like 'Times Are Changing'. She would be a natural singing blues and country as well. These genres fit perfectly in her range. It will be interesting to see what she unveils at her concert next year at the Royal Concert Hall in Amsterdam. It's being billed as orchestral pop music and a mix of Emma's favorite music styles. She'll be 17 then, and who knows what she will be into? Great video. Well done.
There are videos of Emma singing Tina Turner's 'Proud Mary' aka 'Rolling On The River' as a duet with Phil Bee (I have two videos of her doing this) and similarly she sang Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition' with Phil Bee at an outdoor pop festival. I imagine Emma's set list will include these for definite: 'Warrior', 'Laat Mij Een Vlinder Zijn', 'Strijder', 'Voila', 'Dancing....', imagine' and probably 'Out here On My Own'. I'd love it if she would sing 'Father' (she simply folds me up when she sings it)... Let's see. 👍
@@RogerC-2024 Whatever she chooses to include in her program, I'm sure it will be a great and memorable show. Interesting that it sold out in 3 hours a year in advance. That seems rather extraordinary. I have seen Emma's performances of Proud Mary and Superstition with Phil Bee. That is when it struck me how well her voice lent itself to the rock and blues genre. There is a natural, bluesy edge in Emma's lower registry that is perfect for the brooding minor keys of most blues songs. It is only natural and inevitable that as Emma grows older, there will likely be some disagreements among Team Emma as to where she goes next. Right now as a 16 year old, I think she just excepts what's offered to her, and is grateful for the opportunity. As she gets older, however, she is going to have her own ideas about the songs she wants to perform, and the overall direction of her career. That is when things are really going to get interesting. We will see, indeed.
@@RogerC-2024 I have just heard something about a video clip of Emma that was posted by Elon Musk in relation to the American election? She has firmly disavowed any association to the American election, and chastised Musk for using her image without permission on her social media. Do you know anything about this?
Breaking News: Emma, surprisingly, has been caught up in a minor American political scandal. Elon Musk has posted a video in support of Donald Trump on his X account in which Emma appears at the vey beginning for about 1/2 second. The clip of Emma is from her 'Voila' performance and depicts an emphatic, pleading Emma at a point in the performance. As of an hour ago, Emma has posted a firm statement in which she disavows any association with American politics, and chastises Elon Musk for using her likeness, pointing out that she is a 16 year old minor, without her permission. Have you heard of any of this yet? @@RogerC-2024
@@exeter1588 yes, I’ve seen it. Pierre Rieu has since come out saying it was disgusting because it links to text or dialogue saying “if you spill a drop of American blood, we will spill a gallon of yours”. It is disgusting, Emma isn’t even American, and she only espouses peace and respect. It’s very sad.
What a lovely video. And the most recent (last Friday, 25-10-2024) fact about Emma: thanks to André Rieu she will have her own show in the Royal Theater (900 seats) in Amsterdam on 21-10-2025. Only 3 hours(!) after Emma annouced this proudly and very happy on national tv it was SOLD OUT. So again 'full house' for her. So she is living proof: when you have dreams and you persue them, working hard and meet the right persons, it really can work out. But again heartbreaking: hearing a 13 year old (this is recorded 3 years ago) sing without any hesitation 'I'll be waiting till the day I die....' is so, so sad. But look at Emma now: 16 years old, trying successfully to persue her dream under the wings of André Rieu and his orchestra despite her tricky condition. As he said last year: she is an example for all of us... And Emma is not only a gifted singer, she is a great musician as well: the arrangement of "Dancing On The Stars" is made by André AND Emma and when I hear other songs she sings I think she is already actively involved in other arrangements as well.
@@RogerC-2024 Even better!! I did look on the website from the Royal Theatre (Koninklijke Schouwburg) in Amsterdam to discover how many seats there are. The Concertgebouw is a different theatre.

I'm so taken that I need to tell everyone. Emma is so outstanding; I'm anxious to see and how she's doing. My prayers are with her.
We Americans are a bit spoiled as English is widely spoken around the world, so we gravitate to English/American singers. It also helps that the USA has 18 times more people than the Netherlands. 😁 Emma, however, is a wonder. She is extremely talented and can speak Dutch, English, and German fluently and memorized a French song so well that we grown men cried. Her enunciation is excellent in any language!
@@Herka5420 Yes, I saw the announcement pretty much straight away. As I selected tickets the web site showed photos from the seat, so I chose a few options to see what I liked best, but as I refreshed the page I could see tickets disappearing. So I chose some pretty quickly. All the seats look pretty good to be honest. Maybe all of us 'Emma fans from You Tube' should wear T-shirts at the concert with our names on so we can spot each other in the crowd to say hello. 😆 Otherwise, for all we know, we might be sitting next to each other but never know. 🤣 Our seats are second row of the balcony, central, and directly facing the stage (Row 2, Seats 61 and 62).
Thanks for putting this together, Roger. Emma’s story is sad but inspiring. The world will soon be clamoring to hear more about this little Warrior!
Emma has big dreams - but her talent is even bigger. You Go Girl.
