I read a piece by Emma recently which she wrote in 2019/2020 where she said the she, Enzo and Sophie performed together for 600 people at PL Theatres. Together they cried before they went on stage because they were so happy. ❤️ I hope the continue to do this when they can. 👍
I haven't seen this video. Thank you Roger. Emma is so lovely! I know this song well, and Emma's version in Dutch is beautiful. The way she holds her note(s), such control, so clear, that's talent. And, Enzo has a clear vision, too, with crystal clear notes and artistry. Nicely done! Well done! ❤👍🙂

@RogerC-2024 I really hope we see more of Sophie; I've only seen her a few times, and she seems very charming. I'm sure she has her own path to follow; I'll be watching.
Nice Roger, there is a time difference of 8 years between video 1 and 2 I guess. 30 years ago I also played with sand, after 1 year there was a house with garage. But I couldn't do something as beautiful as this sand wizard. 🤷♂
@@dolfy1962 yes, Enzo’s video was 2015, Emma’s December 2023. The Zandtovenaar (Sand Wizard for English speakers who may read this 😀) is amazing. When I watch him, Gerr van der Vijver, I always wonder how many times he has practiced these before he does it on TV. 🤷♂️ I’d never seen anything like it before.
Wonderful again, Roger!! Enzo has finished the convervatory for violin in Amsterdam succesfully in 2023. Since then he is studying for his Masters in Berlin. Like Emma, he performs on stage regularly, sometimes together with Emma. And then... there is sister Sophie: do not forget her. We do not hear much about Sophie, but she can sing wonderful as well. In the past she has performed incidentally on stage with Emma. O yes, this is a very musical family indeed.
Yes, I should have emphasised more what Enzo is doing - like you say, he is in Berlin, at the Hanns Eisler School of Music. I have added a note to the video description. Thank you. I did feel I'd neglected commenting about Sophie, but as she did not feature in the video I decided not to. I adore the comment made by Vico about coming home from work and it being like walking through a music school. I know he and Nathalie are extremely proud of all three children. I've been reading some of Emma's notes as a 11 / 12 year old - they were a difficult read in places and uplifting in others. One comment Emma made was about the 3 siblings appearing at PL Theaters in Kerkrade with a 600 person audience in December 2019, and the 3 of them performed together. Emma said that they were so happy to be on stage together they cried before they went on. 😢 I bet mum and dad did too. Mum and dad must be very strong having gone through what they have with Emma. If I was Emma's father I am certain I would break into a thousand pieces every time I saw Emma on a huge stage with 10000+ people in the palm of her hand. ❤
Yes, It made me smile too. Perhaps the carol was written by someone before the invention of television, or radio. Or they were super keen to make it feel 'Christmassy'. Wording suggesting Mary and Joseph were struggling through 40 degree desert heat probably wouldn't resonate with the congregation 😃
@ To be consistent, I assume the authors illustrated the original musical score with a drawing of the 3 Kings riding reindeer, or sitting in a sleigh driven by a fat jolly man … Ho Ho Ho.
