    24:47 - I appreciate this step-by-step! I believe the default programming/setting on the Ioniq 6 is that the cable stays locked into the charge port when the car is locked up. And unlock the vehicle in order to remove the charge port.

    It is a sweet ride. I like how you can set your SoC for either AC or DC. I find for AC, I want 80%, but DC I normally want 100% cause I am gonna drive it off right away. I normally don't go all the way to 100% but often over 90%. Thx for the vid. I enjoyed watching.

    I don't know about you OP, but I could see why you'd want a gas station as point of interest. Especially if you happen to have a bladder. lol. Thanks for the review

    There are automatic recuperation modes, which can be activated by holding the right paddle, and adjust the recuperation according to the traffic situation.
    You can access the driver assistant settings page directly from the steering wheel.
    Too bad you don't get the HUD in the US.

    Thanks for this video. I just got one of these a couple weeks ago and I never take the time to learn stuff manually on modern cars. My first was a 96 grand marquis with basically no features. Now I know I can skip the ads on podcasts from the steering wheel.

    You might add how to link the car to the remote using an existing garage door opener or directly to the garage door motor code button. Great video for a new Ionia 6 owner. Thank you.

    You live in Boulder so you should know, if you hold the drive mode button, it engages 'snow mode'. Then again, because of where you live, you probably already know that. I just find it weird that no one mentions it.

    I was waiting to see an example of charging at a DC fast charger. It is not the same.

    I really like this I6, however lately they have had a software update tsb about the cccu getting hot, by doing this they REDUCED THE CHARGING CURRENT on my home EVSE. Thus taking longer to charge at lower kw.
    I own 2 of the ioniq 6 cars mine and wife. I can no longer recommend this car or EGMP VEHICLES until hyundai restores this issue.

    Charge port overheats, research prior to purchase. Class action suit coming from Hagens Berman. Hyundai refuses to repair. I owned an Ioniq 6 with this issue. Every car in the E-GMP line has the issue.

      What’s the issue?

    • @bradbarger
      @bradbarger Рік тому

      The charge port overheats when charging on a home charger at 40 amps or higher. The early cars would just stop charging leaving owners with a low battery when they are ready to drive. Hyundai's fix was to lower the charge rate after the charge port overheats so it now takes 2-3 times longer to charge than Hyundai's advertised 7 hours 10 minutes for 10% to 100% soc.@@cheesun124
