Idom has definitely sharpened the knife that is Manon to a precise edge. Playing her so well at this high a level is truly impressive.
Him and also Joey. Joey is so underrated and he beat so many top players on a consistent basis. Just never won anything yet in my knowledge.
So, to preface this, I am eternally grateful that we have such a good player representing this character. There are not enough competitive Manon players. I like iDom as an entertainer.
However, I as a spectator have absolutely no idea if he even likes this game. We know MvC3 is his favorite fighting game, but every video I see coming out of this channel recently makes me wonder if he's just playing it for the channel.
Don't get me wrong I know this game is goofy as all get out, but if you're not having fun, I encourage him to play something else!
He doesn't outright hate the game, but he does hate how cookie cutter a lot of the character designs are. Because the game is built around drive rush, most of the roster is designed with that in mind and the few that aren't, happened to be really bad character. He largely wants Capcom to expand how characters can exist with the drive gauge without everything being funneled into one style of play.

youtube also pays very little gives how little the views and engagement it gets in contrast to other videos in general.. he's only playing the game because it is relevant right now and there's crazy amount of money on the line if he wins this.. sticking to manon is just his personal choice because it is because of this "broken game design" even with top tier characters you can't get consistent results

Ngl, I was really surprised to find out one of the (apparently) most chill players is about as salty as me in the average ranked match. I think fighting games break everyone's patience, lol.

Watching NuckleDu played Guile made me realize why Guile is considered top tier in japan tier list. Daikoku & Higuchi in SFL JP are performing great as well.

Was it really the game awarding bad play on that "random" wakeup lv3 against Manon. Cause I'm pretty sure I get rekt if I dash twice after that special. Am I missing something with that set up?

What would happen if they removed perfect parry from the game (except it still works on projectiles)? Would that make the game better? Would iDom be happy?

He's like this nowadays even in non-tournament videos. And there are plenty of pros that don't constantly whinge during tournaments. I wish he would either make his peace with what this game is or play something he doesn't have to make sarcastic comments about all the time
That being said, I still really like his style of gameplay- I have since he played Laura in SF5. It's an unfortunate state of affairs
@@deathhy7590 Nah. Other pro players do not whine and complain nonstop, tournament or not. Bro goes out of his way to cry. "The game rewarded me for playing bad." After he did a wake up super and it worked. Like.. that is a thing that is in almost every fighting game ever made but he's trying to frame it like it's a SF6 exclusive scrub tactic or something. MID TOURNAMENT MATCH bro is going out of his way to be like that. It's just gross.

I don't think there are any TRULY bad characters in this game, however, with all that being said though, there will always be a "low" or "lower" tier character. The system mechanics by itself is why it's hard to undoubtedly agree on a top 5. Every other month we see a new character having placements. A Ryu just won something in a STACKED tournament where people said he was ass. A lot more characters are capable
