I love that you find part 5 underrated. It’s an amazing slasher, but people fail to see that because they’re SO focused on the actual Jason not being the killer.
Nice video again! Jason Takes Manhattan will always be top tier for me only because of Jason's reaction to seeing his face on the billboard and him just smashing through the groups boombox lol. I don't remember anything from The final Friday other than that dude eating he heart and when it was done cowing to never watch it again! Really enjoy your content and thank you for putting so much effort into them
Part 7 was always my favorite since Tina goes head to head with Jason with her abilities. Also the story with her guilt about her father’s death and his love for his daughter defeating Jason.
Yeah I go back and forth on 4 and 6 every year cause they both are fun and interesting films in their own way but I think you hit the nail on the head with all your other picks. Always great work and thought!
Friday the 13th Part V RULES!!!!! I love that movie lol it's my personal favorite (I know it isn't the BEST.. 4 and 6 are IMO) but 5 is the first one I remember watching as a kid and I absolutely love it!
I agree about part 3 kind of being a downer because of the chris assault flashback. Part 6 has the best chemistry between tommy and sheriff's daughter. She really was the full package on looks and personality. Part 5 is junk food that you somehow want to finish the bag. Great rankings

I agree with majority of your rankings. The high points were2, 4, 6,7. I used to hate Part 5 but that was before Jason Takes Manhattan. That movie so needed more work...a LOT more work. But most of the movies can be forgiven for their shortcomings. Thank you for the series. It was a lot of fun to watch. But please don't burn yourself out. You did a great job on all of it and thank you for the hard work.
Good ranking we have the same top 3! After jason lives they're all jason goes to... A birthday party On a boat to Manhattan Hell The future and into space Elm street part 5 is easily the most entertaining and fun one. I find it funny how no one hates part 1 since jason isn't the killer yet that's the main reason why part 5 is hated
4 is my favorite too. Glad to see 5 get some love. Roy's rampage makes more sense to me than all these real-life mass massacres, we hear about in America. And I would have been Reggie 😄
Also with part 5 being called A New Beginning it kinda mirrors the og with a parent going on a killing spree to avenge their child. Almost like a soft reboot but maybe that’s reaching. Especially with part 6 literally reviving Jason 😅
I grew up renting these movies and all the greatest 80s and 90s horror films. I will say with all honesty that I put part IV as the "best" of the bunch, but V: A New Beginning is By Far the most rewatchable and entertaining movie of the bunch. No changing my mind.
I love Freddy vs. Jason with the exception of the misogyny. I think Gibb's death is more sexist and dehumanizing than anything in the remake (which I dislike too, so you're not alone there), I actually had to leave the theater during that moment cause it was so uncomfortable. And then Freddy SAing Lori in a way that felt super male gaze-y before the big fight also left a bad taste in my mouth.

Complete disagreement on _The Final Chapter._ It's the **only** film in the 1980's original franchise that is sincerely toxic and sex negative, exploitative, disgusting, judgmental, ultra sexist, and sexualizes Corey Feldman as a child with that horrendously offensive scene with him watching people undress through the window and hXXXily jumping on the bed. He's a child. Never depict children showing hXXXXness on film. It's absolutely NOT okay. Teens played by 20-somethings can depict hornyness but not children... Why would any movie ever do that?
@@andrewbouk1324 Yeah it came off pretty snarky didn’t it, personally one of the worst I’ve ever seen, but that was topped by tons of the sequels from this franchise. I just thought it was interesting how different the opinions were between her and I.
Friday the 13th franchise is a B movie slasher series. It was never a well written series and nevwr tried to be. In order to like or love the series you have to be a fan of 80s B flick slashers. The OG Friday is the best written of the series but lacks the entertainment value of the sequels that involve Jason and suffers from feeling slow at points. It's an OK film but only somewhat stands out. Part 5 is an enjoyable B movie schlock slasher but not a good Friday the 13th film. It lacks the more B movie slasher vibe of the others and instead goes more a schlock exploitation type feel. The rest are all entertaining as B movie slashers that you can laugh at and with for pure entertainment value which is what B slasher flicks are intended for. The timeline amd story elements of the series don't make full sense because the studio never cared to make sure that they did. The series was always treated as just a B movie cash grab slasher series for teenagers by the studio. For what it id and trying to be It's my favorite slasher franchise. The difference with Jason Lives is with part 6 the direcror embraced the inherent B movoe camp vibe that wss always in the series and made it a horror comedy. That is why it's the best put together of the series directing wise because the director embraced what the series is and used it as an element of the script. With Friday 3 and the whole assaulting the female thing. That was because at the time the studio didn't know what they wanted to do with Jasons character. With each Friday the 13th movie the director was just given a check list to include good kills tits and gore. Besides that they just let them do whatever with the series. This is why Jasons look changes from movie to movie because the studio just let each director do whatever lol. Friday the 13th is a series that could have only existed in the 80s an is a pure 80s product. Jason Takes Manhattan is the worst written of the series but I can laugh at it and with it and still have a decent time with it for the 80s vibe. Jason Goes to Hell was the directors attempt to try to give a mythology for Jason that would explain why he can't die. Jason Takes Manhattan underperformed in theaters so with Goes to Hell they wanted to radically alter the formula because they felt it was running dry after 8. The series never built a cohesive mythology so with Goes to Hell they had to create it from scratch.
I love that you find part 5 underrated. It’s an amazing slasher, but people fail to see that because they’re SO focused on the actual Jason not being the killer.
I actually loved Tommy in that one
It's a really good movie
The Crispin Glover dancing gets me every time 😂 no issues with your rankings
It got him laid
I put Friday 7 pretty high. Jason is always cool, but there he’s the campfire ghost story. The urban legend that came out of the lake
I like the 2009 remake but it does stand on the shoulders of what works in parts 2,3 and 4

Just found this channel in a you tube rabbit hole. Subbed 😎
In part 6 tommy still had the gas on his clothes from return of the living dead. This is what caused the sudden rain and Jason coming back. 😂
I love how appreciated Freddy Vs Jason has grown to be!
