I always advise my clients not to underestimate the young workforce. A young person might not exactly fit "x" or "y" but they're coachable and trainable!
Totally agree! I feel the same about ruling out the older demographic also. They have so much knowledge! Plus, age discrimination is against most human rights laws :)
@@WonderfulWizardofHR i agree but i have hired a bunch and older people gave me the most issues because they just couldn't adapt. At the end of the day their inability to adapt to the team, work, and environment overweighed the skill and experience they brought to the table.
@@onyinyei.3966 I think this is where you may benefit from tweaking your hiring practice a little. A really good hiring strategy will filter out the individuals who are not willing to adapt. Adaptation can be a struggle for people of all ages, we just see it in the older demographic because they have a clearer understanding of what works. Some great interview questions and reference questions can screen out the ones that have a history of being rigid in their ways.
1. Promote/speak about your basic Purpose/your Why and see if they get excited 2. Ask friends for potential prospects. 3. Ask good customers/clients to work for you. Ones you really like! 4. Ask other professionals for potential prospects. 5. Let your manager, for that area, do the hiring. Thank you 🙏🏾 🇯🇲
