Momigami takes me back to my childhood. My grandparents refused to have indoor plumbing. Water was from a pitcher pump well and the old outhouse was a distance behind the house and was complete with a Sears and Roebuck or Montgomery Ward catalog. You had to keep wadding up the paper while you were in the outhouse or you took a chance with paper cuts. 😂 I never knew it had a name. We were just making toilet paper. Wonderful dye idea also.

Too funny! I thought of the exact same thing! We had a big family, so sometimes the TP ran out and we "momigamied" the catalog or newspaper LOL :)

I'm definitely going to give this a go. Thanks for showing another way to "paint." I make decorator gift bags from old newspaper but people wanted to reuse them and the newspaper would crack after being folded repeatedly. I use a 1:4 glycerin:water mix and it makes the paper soft like fabric so it can be refolded repeatedly without ripping. I imagine this wax method strengthens the paper in that way too. Great video!!

I have said this to other youtubers also but often we do not hear the noice you hear when filming the video. The first time you mentioned the dogs I did not hear them. And I really don’t mind back ground noice . I know how much work it takes to plan, film , edit and upload a video so 🤗 just a big big thank you for all the efforts you make and all the wonderful ideas you freely share with us on your channel. So I would say , let the house live its life, let your dogbabies do what dogs do …. Unless you are bothered by it while filming and that again is not for me to say what you can or cannot do . Thank you Amy ❤️

This was one item I did not do last time. I had never seen it before and had no idea of how to use it. I am still a little in the dark, unsure of how to use it, where, when , etc.
when you heat set it, does it melt into the paper? does the paper become a bit translucent?
i have been crinkling paper for dimensional flowers and for distress inks. it is definitely fun to manipulate and alter the physical texture of the paper.
your colors were vibrant and lovely.

What a great interesting video!!! I saw the wax at Walmart the other day but it was $18 and the gel was $10!!! plus tax (20%) and the other brands were even more!!! sooo I guess I won't be making the wax!! However, I do like the momigami I didn't know that it was a name ....and yes it would be really annoying scrunching paper while watching tv....just as annoying as hubby hogging the remote!!! it also seems really good exercise for arthritic hands! I do something similar with my wipes and paper towel...wipe up paint and let dry!! Didn't know it was a thing! Love the card....so pretty!! TFS

Lol Amy... pets ARE a lot like kids (and yes, for a lot of us, they ARE "also" our kids). Puppies are very much like rambunctious toddlers and cats are a lot like older kids/teens. And it seems not a single kid, even fur-kids, can resist the allure of a mom doing SOMETHING.
A mom can sit quietly for hours, staring at a wall, bored... kids will ACTIVELY IGNORE HER (barring emergencies, food need, etc). The second she goes to do ANYTHING... "MOM! MOM! MOM!!!! WATCH ME! I NEED YOU! I LOVE YOU! PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEE!"
I can't speak for the dads out there, though... I don't remember my father.. or any man... complaining about certain activities being... triggers for kids to go a bit nutty. Pretty sure its happened, though.
And yet... kids - fur & flesh... no matter how much they drive you to distraction... the love just grows. =D
