- So starting off this series with a very simple dish Chicharone en salsa roja aka pork skin in red salsa ... The chicharone is toasted then is drowned in a flavorful spicy salsa ...when you bite into the chewy chicharone it releases this spicy tomato explosion that makes this one of Rauls favorite dishes...with a side of Frijoles Mexicano you can find that recipe with the link below

Anthony, I’m Mexican and I don’t know how to cook this delicacy either! This is my favorite favorite dish, but growing up my parents were strict about our diets and eating pork. We were simply not allowed to. Thank God for UA-cam and for people like Lala that love to cook.

Love the recipe! I have made a version of this several times. The first time I had a dish like this was at work, the Hispanics that I work around had a bunch of Burritos with cooked pork skin. It was amazing, they would not tell me what it was they kept telling me it was chicken 🤣. I told them im asain nothing scares me and they eventually told me and I was hooked!

I also make tamales My Hispanic daughter in law says they tasted like her grandmothers from Mexico that made me proud it’s a process and takes me all day to make 5 or 6 dozen but I’m learning to prepare meat one day and throw them together the next

this got me out of the house. I couldn't take it. i had to have it. So i went to the little store by my house AT NOON ON FRIDAY (which i never do) soooo busy. i had to tweak a bit bc the store didn't have canned tomatoes and I wasn't about to go into the big grocery store. Anyway. soooo goooooood. I love chewy gelatinous stuff. thank you

I made this Sunday and it came out so good I’m never buying these from a restaurant again the only other place I could find good checharones was from a spot off terry road called Lopez tacos .

@@LalayRoomade this today. Hubby us literally 15 min away. Can't way to see his reaction! I ended up going to La Michoacana grocery and got the same kind of chicharrones you bought. It's too spicy for me the way I made it which means it'll be perfect for my hubby. Also made charro beans and homemade salsa and tortillas. Ay I can't wait!
