- We’re back to the Mercedes W126 in this video. There’s no heat and it’s January! Learn how to replace the monovalve and bring the heat back to your old Mercedes. Plus, a viewer sent us a nice surprise!

Oh, wow. Awesome to see this. Used to watch you on WLEX. Spent 10 years in TV myself (in Birmingham, Ala.). Now out of the biz and dove into Benz ownership. Looking to replace my mono valve on my 126 diesel soon and thinking about the Klima Kit system.

This is the kind of assistant/apprentice you need for changing the light bulbs on a Smart car, too. Small hands. Btw, the concept of child labor content has been pioneered by Mr. Derek aka Vice Grip, afaik. And incidentally, the Smart car is a (new era) Mercedes product as well, overpriced, overengineered and quite unreliable.
Plumber's cleavage is a frequent phenomenon in the UA-cam car wrenching world, yet I do not actually recall if you were guilty of it too at some point. Maybe I just don't want to recall it.

I have a 2001 w210. I never thought about it having that monovalve. I'll have to check. My heat is a little inconsistent.
Funny that mercedes uses basically what is a solenoid. My Volvo had a vacuum operated "heater control valve", which I had to replace at one time. Much easier to get to.
I also recently changed my grill and put a stand up emblem on it.
I think that whole thing about the plumbers butt went right over your grandsons head.

Hy.i got mercedes benz a class a170,1.7,petrol,2005......last year on december my car heating works great..i was on christmas in holliday in another country,when i comeback the heating dont work like before...and after couple of days just start working,no more warn air gived...in dashboard showed me to add more coolant..i put more but heating still dont come...someone said to i reflush the sistem and refill with coolant and that will be fixed and heating will run..i dont know big thing about mechanics..but what you think can be?before used to work perfectly the heating,in the morning at 5 oclock,when was -2 grace outside,in 3-4 minute was warm in the car..all stop after i comeback from holliday....please help me if you know an advice
