RIP Judith. The Carnival is Over. I’m so upset. Met you at the park near us with Bruce Woodley(a friend of ours) whiles Bruce’s and our dogs played. Lovely lady and a voice that never changed.
so many great and inspiring loving and wonderful songs with Judith Durham's angelic, heraldic voice, from an era a half century ago but The Seekers music is as beautiful and loving today as yesterday...
I remember them from the 60’s as my mother liked the “Georgy girl” hit and played it often. I went on to love jazz and hard rock. Lately I find myself appreciating great music like this! What amazing performers! This music is sooooo sweet. Judiths voice is riveting with the boys backing her up. Thanks so much for posting this along with all the others you have rescued! Absolutely great!
Had the ABSOLUTE PRIVILEGE of seeing these four amazing people and lost my voice for a week after singing along with them all night! What a memorable evening I have in my heart and mind.. It will never fade!
so the song the olive tree is probably not understood by most people .But I'm sitting here in that land and every thing about that song is so true .it's like how did she know ? how did she sing a song about my life ? 🇮🇱
I always loved, their sound when I was 8 thru my mid twenties. Now that I'm in my early sixties I still get chill's when I hear them. Thank you so much.
Appearance, music choices, fantastic musicians with the greatest lead singer ever = best group for pure joy, great feelings. Judith was so super priceless!!
My earliest memory of Music, is this track sung by the Seekers... Music has to be something that becomes that Great! A Child remembers a song 40 years later I miss music like this!
The seekers represent all that is good in life. Conservative dress style. Nothing flashy. Soft lilting music. Great lyrics. Those years are gone by. But the music lives on
Of course Judith can make our hearts soar or melt with just about every note she sings but the boys clearly demonstrate that they're quite capable of creating some astonishing magic of their own. jtk🍁
Yeah, they are amazing. I heard them once on some compilation album somewhere many years ago; but, I only found them a second time yesterday (on UA-cam)’. Beautiful.
Good music and harmony , unlike some of our musicians today. we were at the see kers farewell concert in Brisbane very special night. Thank you for entertaining us all these years.good ambassadors for Australia .
11:30 when Judith sings this, she doesn't only make me think of olive trees in Greece, but her voice also reminds me of Greeces most famous and respected female singer Maria Farantouri, who sang the Anthem of the Ballad of Mauthausen.
@JetLag797 Yes, they should be available now - took 5 hours for each part to upload and kept failing halfway through! I used a combination of cropping and resizing to convert to 16:9, as I think it's nice to be able to watch fullscreen.

Much appreciated rich 963. I've seen excerpts of this performance but not a continuous recording. The video recording is quite rare to purchase and it was recorded in European TV standards which are not playable on USA video recorder, so I really appreciate your posting. Are ther going to be a part 3 and part 4 to complete the show?
@grimTales1 It was released on VHS around 11 years ago, but only in PAL format. There are small differences to the Talk of the Town concert, but it was basically the same songs and banter. They were recorded a week apart and one obvious difference is that they don't sing 'Happy Birthday' to Judith in the video, as they do on the TOTT CD!
@@rich963 Did she? That's great to hear. I remember my father being appalled that she gave up her career to get married and have children. "Bloody waste of an extraordinary talent" was his view!! Thanks for the update.
I think a few people think that. I don’t believe that it is because of Mornington near Melbourne because it was written by Malvina Reynolds, who was from America. I think it’s just about waking up in the morning.
I originally thought that, but realised it was Morningtown, as in where you end up in the morning after sleeping, which, when you listen to the lyrics, makes sense. When I saw it was written by Malvina Reynolds, who’d probably never heard of Mornington, it was clear it wasn’t about a mythical train to that seaside town.

It’s truly a pleasure to rediscover the music of the Seekers. 50 years later!
Simply sublime. I was born in 1966 but some of my earliest memories were listening to The Seekers.
Judith, what beautiful woman with a beautiful voice.

If you love jazz and blues, look for Judith singing jazz with The Hottest Band in Town. On UA-cam as well. IT'S A TREAT!
Had the ABSOLUTE PRIVILEGE of seeing these four amazing people and lost my voice for a week after singing along with them all night! What a memorable evening I have in my heart and mind.. It will never fade!
I will never forget the old seeker's one of the best group's I've ever seen and heard x
so the song the olive tree is probably not understood by most people .But I'm sitting here in that land and every thing about that song is so true .it's like how did she know ? how did she sing a song about my life ? 🇮🇱
Judith is a great singer but the combination of these guys and Judith created a unique wonderful sound

THE SEEKERS💖👸🕺👬🌟🤩
Great!🎼🎵🎹🎸🎻🎤📀👍👏
From Hong Kong🙋♀️🌏💝🌺🥰
Pure magic, don't you think during these lockdown times. My love goes out to all of you
Never tire of the beautiful voice of Judith Durham
as a teenager i wasnt that keen on them but i saw their farewell concert & loved them
This is the first time hearing the song "The Olive Tree."
Incrediblely beautiful vocals by Judith. The purest crystal clear voice!!
I agree . The Olive Tree as sung in this concert displayed the incredible power and quality of Judith's voice and interpretation ability.
Agreed. Never tired of The Seekers since my childhood in the 1960's. I am now 60 and thanks to UA-cam, I will and continue listening to their music.
Appearance, music choices, fantastic musicians with the greatest lead singer ever = best group for pure joy, great feelings. Judith was so super priceless!!
So true. RIP Judith, but, as Athol said on her passing, "Judith hasn't gone. She is still here..."
No lip syncing here. Real talent.
My earliest memory of Music, is this track sung by the Seekers... Music has to be something that becomes that Great! A Child remembers a song 40 years later
I miss music like this!
It's unbelievable, how clear they was able to sing/play so difficult songs live... who is able to do it now (even with all modern devices)?
Beautiful songs and video, love the Seekers always.❤💙💙💙🇦🇺🚂
Splendid Voices 😍👏👏👏
The seekers represent all that is good in life. Conservative dress style. Nothing flashy. Soft lilting music. Great lyrics. Those years are gone by. But the music lives on
The music so so inspiring as well!
Carlos Carpinteyro AMEN 🙏
What a voice!
Just brilliant In every sense
Judiths voice rises above that of the guys balancing and complimenting them as the true relationship in its beauty between men and women ought to be
Of course Judith can make our hearts soar or melt with just about every note she sings but the boys clearly demonstrate that they're quite capable of creating some astonishing magic of their own. jtk🍁
Tell me about it!
I cry when I hear them . Don’t know why .

To me, It was perfection of voices, and Instruments .

Amazing longevity. 60 years on and I can't tell the difference. Very unique.
Pure talent and Class ☺Give me a time machine so i can go back to the sixties 🙄
Beautiful voice Judith! Seekers are a wonderful singing group.
This is one of the first musical influences of my life. They are amazing in their music and story.
Always gives me goosebumps listening to this song. Brings back memories of my childhood. Love it.

They don’t come along like that anymore
And I just discovered them recently.

Just terrific, I have all 4 parts now. Thanks so much for taking the time to do all those frustrating uploads.

I love the part just before "Rattler" when Judith looks round with a confused/frowny look on her face and just walks off :D
Wonderful!.*!! 😊🤗🎶🎸🎤❤️💞

A couple songs on TOTT are a little more rock and roll: Love is KInd and Georgy Girl.
Just think with out Judith Durham we would not have the seekers
Nice - I've never seen a continuous recording of the concert! Is this the same as Talk of the Town?
‘A World of our Own’, sounds as if it was written for these ‘Covid’ times.......listen to the lyrics!
Dang. Why would anyone place Judith's chair so close to the edge of the stage!!
It keeps her on the edge of her chair...
Fred
Didn't last long: 6 years. But what a six years.
Plus another 21 from 1993 - 2014 of course!
Saw them in concert in 2013 for the last time😢

i always wonder did they mean mornington when they recorded the song as they were from melbourne just a thought
