    Mom and I have been getting more and more into the wild herb in our yards. My daughter is putting dandelions in her smoothie... she even takes the flower part and mixes them in Koko's (our new kitten) food. I was reading to her about the plant and she said... Koko needs that. So we did some research to make sure it was safe... and it's helping Koko with her gas belly. So ya... herbs are amazing!

    So sad to think about all the wasted medicine out there And they’re looking to the toxic poison that eventually kills us

      That’s a bummer… I have a feeling though at your local Health Food store that they carry dried Mullein leaf. It shouldn’t really be too expensive either. It’s definitely a good idea to have it in your medicine bag.

    What about pneumonia? Does it help? How can you drink the tea daily?

    I've been digging out a bunch of mullein to make room in my garden. It kills me to rip them out. I've been composting it.
    Thankfully, I found a local gardening group and people are more than happy to take leaves, roots and seedlings.
    I always apologize to the plants when I did then up. Makes me sad :(

      Delia Rubio Yeah, I have the same feelings at times. If it grows anywhere near your house, you don’t even have to dig it up to plant in your garden because it’s usually very plentiful pretty much everywhere on the edge of forests or roads. As long as you find it where it’s a road less traveled. Or better yet on the edge of trails. They like lots of sun.

    I guess you don't have to dry the leaves before you steep them?

    • @AuntCheapo
      @AuntCheapo  4 роки тому

      James Cogan Nope, not necessary… And you can find them even towards the end of summer. It’s good to collect them though when they are young and fresh. Dry the leaves when they are beautiful, then you can have them throughout the winter when you need them more.

      I started noticing as a young child that when you cut open a carrot it looks like the retina for the eye and then come to find out vitamin E is good for your eyes, and then looking at a walnut it looks like a little brain with the two hemispheres and it has proper fat for your brain to function omega-3’s and 6!!!
