Dear Zac: I do believe it is important to trim leaves, at their bases. If you cut a leaf, the end will continue to deteriorate and look terrible. Removing damaged leaves induces a plant to produce new ones. Thank you, for sharing this, terrific overview, of jungle vallisneria (Vallisneria Gigantea). All my best, Sincerely, E. J. Brinegar
Very useful review! I've also found that I can cleanly pull an entire stem out without any disturbance to mother plant by simply grabbing the stem half way down and giving a sharp tug. This saves time and eliminates cut dying stems. It really works, esp on really long stems!
Just pulled out a LOT of them from my tanks these recent weeks. In MY experience, they do not need substrate and many times I just clump the rosettes together and weigh them down without burying them. The ones ones I pull out from my tanks also just get floated on a basin of water just in case someone in the locality is looking for some. Though, I would also say that I see a lot of people have trouble growing them at all so different factors equals different results.
I planted them with the pot they come in, left 3 pots in my 55 wait a few months for them to propagate themselves and I pull the pot out. Now I still has 3 pots to plant another tank for free. But they do melt when their root has nothing to grab
Happy new year! I love val, best of luck in the new year! I forward for more. Also i plan to work more on my channel. I just haven't had time with college. Great work!
This is probably the only plant I have yet to kill. It's incredibly versatile! Great video as well! 👍 Small editing tip: I would add some post-stabilization (can be counter-intuitive), or slow the footage down, or both if you're gonna make fast cuts that have a lot of movement in them. It might help prevent any motion sickness in some people. (i.e. me lol) 😉
Can anyone help 😢 why my vallisneria narrow leaf dying afte 2nd day of planting in my organic composed+gravels brackish water tank leaf getting yellow & brown any suggestions?
Jungle Val propagates through runners, so it might take a few more weeks for those runners to spread and create new plants. Good lighting could trigger them to do this faster.
Thanks!
thank YOU! Happy new year!

I have this in my potting soil pond
It goes mad if i put egg shells and i cant handle that 😂
haha, egg shells are great nutrient providers for sure! HNY!
Hello. How you add egg shells? You crush it and add it? That's it? Plz reply
@@atheist615 yes brother
Get egg shells and crush them and put them directly in to the substrate
Using whatever , I use hand to put it
What is the reddish colored fish at 2:26 please & thank you ?
That looks like a longfin rosy barb.
What kind of food did you just feed your fish, they went crazy for it. Thnks
could you give a time stamp of the clip you’re referring to? Thx :)
@@Aquafinity Time stamp is 2:44 where the angelfish races up to get it.

Vallisneria sales after this video: 📈
haha, I actually wanted a jungle val seller to sponsor this video, but nobody wanted to do it lol.
I was just wondering if you know why my betta is laying sideways on the surface of the water but is still breathing and idk what to do
It could be a swim bladder disorder. What are the water parameters of the tank?
Mine aren’t populating yet but they are reaching the surface. How long does it take to populate. It’s been almost 2 months.

Mine can't even grow more than 6 inches. It's not a dwarf species. It's Italian Jungle val, which can grow really long.
0:36 12 inches? More like 6 feet!
