hydrogen peroxide is reduced at the expense of several substances that will act as electron acceptors, such as ascorbate (vitamin C), quinones, and cytochrome c. For the reaction it requires reducing agents which are actually electron acceptors.
peroxide Reduces another substance means gives electron to that substance…so peroxidase should use ELECTRON DONOR But u said electron acceptor*** plz give me correct answer i am confused
Hydrogen peroxide is reduced to water by peroxidase and also by vitamin C .During the reaction ascorbic acid is converted to dehydroascorbic acid. This dehydroascorbic acid is converted back to ascorbic acid by a reaction catalysed by dehydroascorbic acid reductase, this enzyme requires GSH.During this reaction GSH is oxidised to GSSG . PEROXIDASE is not directly catalysing reduction of other substances but inorder to regenerate the reduced forms ,they accept electrons from the sources and are reduced.
Informative lecture sir
Thank you so much for your feedback 👍💐😊
Good content! I actually learned a few new things.

Thank you very much your feedback 😊
Peroxidases reduce peroxide using various electron acceptors.....I couldn't get it.... Could you please explain it?
