I watch a lot of 'thru hikers' and it's really, really tough. Good gear, lots of preparation, hiking practice etc is necessary.
What a video! I did wonder how you two would get on, with as you said, no real prep. My own wonderful dad, when he did the Camino, ended up buying a bike! Your health is your wealth always. The trail is there to go back to, whether this is it for Janine, or you continue one on the bus, one on foot ... no matter, just be grateful for the opportunity, and lessons learned! Big healing hugs to Janine, and what will be will be. xxx
I was just thinking that they should buy a bike. I former work colleague of mine did exactly that for him and his wife, buying two basic mountain bikes from decathlon and had them posted to the start of the trail. They have a great journey and at the end of their cycling Camino donated both bikes to a local primary school. They did say they will return to walk the trail, but would take some time to fully prepare themselves for the distances walked each day.
Hey Janine,
I spent 10 days in hospital on my first Camino in 2014. On my second Camino, in 2015, I met 3 amazing people who (when I was struggling with a hamstring) said "We'll walk with you" ... and they did. I messaged them all today on Facebook after I'd heard of your story. I hope you decide to continue.
Inspirational thank you for commenting 🙏
Whatever you decide Janine give yourself lots of grace. In life we journey on so many roads and if doors do shut others open. Praying your blisters heal and that you have peace that passes understanding and enjoy whatever time you have out there. Its still an awesome adverture with all you have achieved anyway. god bless you both x
Thanks for the support 🙏 🙌
Sending hugs Janine you look in so much pain ❤. Your such a lovely couple hope you can both keep on your Pilgrimage ❤❤
Such a good comment. Ties very well into yoga philosophy (aparigraha). Maybe this wasn´t what was right for you right now, that´s ok. From all we have seen, you´re such a beautiful being, Janine.
How devastating for you Janine to hear so many saying this is the end of your trip. You decide on what you feel is best for you but there's always another time another journey. You have shown what a trooper you are as well as a extremely strong woman and you are to be congratulated on making it this far , bravo 👏👏. It looks like you're going through a bad time but you are learning what strength you have, you can smile through adversity and you are emensly strong mentally. I wish you both well on your journey no matter what the outcome is, you are both amazing beautiful souls 💯🙏💪👏😎
What a fantastic pilgrimage it must be good for the soul and the scenery stunning. What a lovely thing to do. Poor janine bless you those feet must have been so painful. Blisters are the worst. Thank you for still taking us along with all that kit. I do hope your feet are better. Well done to you Liam for continuing. What an experience to remember. You are such a nice couple I hope you get your home back soon and the tide turns for you. I am sure it will and think of all the other experiences you have enjoyed by having to take a different road. Life is full of twists and turns. Lovely video take Care both. Test those feet 😊
So very sorry about your poor feet, Janine…and really hope they heal well so you can finish the Camino. Get everything crossed for you…good luck to you both! 💕
Liam and Janine your positivity through adversity is so nice to see.
Best wishes to you both from Ireland 🇮🇪 take care now 👍👍👍
I am retired nurse who specialized in wound care. We never burst the blisters. I had multiple blisters walking the Dales Way last years. I ended up wearing my husbands extra large hiking boots and doubled my socks. My feet still hurt but it was much better and my blisters started to heal. I hope you are able to continue but if not I am sure you will find another adventure. Blessings
Also applying what looked like Mercurochrome, eeewwww!
Yes, noticed that. Banned in a lot of countries now.@@pamjudge9691
I was interested to see this too. I understood the liquid filled blisters are inherently sterile and the liquid acts as a cushion. It makes sense to me that our bodies know what to do to protect itself. I also thought the current wisdom was *not* to burst them but instead to take the pressure off the area as much as possible. So I wondered if the guy they met was a podiatrist as he seemed so confident that his approach made me question if what I had been told was correct. But perhaps what he brought was still very valuable? His experience said Janine needed to stop and rest and she felt confident enough in him to take that advice, so that's good ❤.
Are the threads being left in as drains also a risk? Ik infection can go both ways and hope shes been informed how to keep it all clean and sterile so infection doesn't make it way up the threads into her feet?
Hope your feet heal up well Janine, experiencing all that the place offers is to be savoured as well, take care you two
Thank you 💚
Take the bus Janine. Take the backpacks and video equipment. Reserve the accommodation for Liam. I would have done that from the start! ❤
Poor Janine. So many tears since the awful news in England. You’re both handling things so well and you’re both very resilient. I’m sure you’ll be able to continue after a day or two more. The first week is the hardest then the body says "Oh, is this what we’re doing now? Walking silly miles everyday? Ok then." It gets so much easier then and you begin to feel like a proper pilgrim and like you could walk forever.
So true thank you
Fantastic. So proud of you both - Janine, as ever demonstrating unfaltering determination. x
👊💯👣❤️
The inner strength of Janine would be worth millions if bottled 💪 Isn't she amazing!?
Oh Jannine I feel for you.I see Liam is still doing well in his sandals😅 didnt expect that, thought he'd be the one with the blisters.
Liam will have his own story to tell one way or the other haha
Hi, i walked the Camino and a friend had the same prob with feet. There's a good service which transports your ruck sack daily! This changed the game completely for her and she skipped past us all daily.
Janine is a delicate flower.⚘ please Janine look after yourself. Rest up. Hope you feel better soon. X
💚💚💚
@@ThoseHappyDayswishing you both a new home on wheels such as an r.v from ccrv uk and many more years of good health and ever growing closeness and love and happiness as a married couple
@vibrationsofhealinglove thank you ❤
@@ThoseHappyDays you are so very welcome
All will work out .Hope Janine is feeling better.Take care 🙂🌻
What a great experience for you both. Get well soon Janine. 🙏🏽💛🥰
Sorry to hear of your pain and struggles. I hope your feet have healed or are healing well. Sending hugs to you both.❤❤
Thank you ☺️
What an adventure! Hope your feet heal soon! 🤗
Sorry to hear of the latest troubles, get well soon....
So pleased to watch the video and even more impressed when I saw my name on the end reel . Love the channel and although I didn’t get to start my adventure round Europe this year you still inspire me to try again next year. Can’t wait for the next video .
Hope you’re feeling better soon Janine! Never let it get you down, sometimes things take longer than expected and that’s life. After so much stress with Morgan, your body is bound to feel run down and this affects healing as you likely know. You’re both an amazing, caring pair to watch and it’s lovely to watch your videos after a stressful time at work. I find you both so calming and really humble. I look forward to seeing your next video and thank you for sharing your journey. ❤
I've had blisters before from long walks when I was younger, I know how that feels! Take care, both of you. Looks like such a good time, wish I was there!
Oh gosh much love guys ❤. Blister pain is awful. I hope things settle.
Blessings for you and Janine. I'm so glad you found those people to help with her feet. Lots of love x ❤
We also stayed in torres del Río, brings back the memories, keep going, it only gets better.
Loved that town
Sending love to surround you both- you are certainly having some challenges.❤
Well done on what you’ve both achieved so far. Hope your blisters heal soon Janine❤ Enjoy watching every week. Take care both of you 🍷❤
Well done both and so sorry for Janine, glad she found the two Angels who looked after her feet. I'm keeping everything crossed for you both that you are both able to continue so all the best and good luck with everything. 👏🤞👋
Sad😭 to hear of Janine's situation, hopefully she will be OK because she has Liam to support her. Love 🥰 the vlog and sending much needed love 💕 & positive vibes to Janine.
I truly believe our lives are mapped out for us nothing is by chance. There is a reason you are exactly where you both are at the moment. Stay positive it will all work out in the end for you both. Oh janine i really feel for you same happened to me in the Sahara desert last year pure agony.
Yeah it happens to most people out here. Thank you 💚
Good luck guys, ur smiles and determination will get u as far if not there,,,
I did it many yrs ago but did it over 3 months,,, passed to many villages and stayed with amazing beautiful people,,,
Just go with the flow x
Awww nooo Janine, Really sorry to hear about the blisters, I suffer with my feet a lot so I know how unbearable it can be. Hope they recover very soon. Huge hugs xx
Great to see this adventure guys, not so good to see Janine suffering. I walked the Sahara with my mates and I always take compede with me. Luckily I’ve never used them as I have some 1000 miles double layered socks. They’re incredible. Safe travels ❤️
My goodness, you're certainly facing some challenges. Well done to both of you, for your inspirational video's. Best of luck as you continue ❤❤
Thank you so much!
Awesome guys, Thanks for sharing your experiences.
I’ve seen people in the comments saying buy bikes. What an amazing idea you could do it on wheels this time . Spend the time you save showing in depth looks at the little towns on root like in this video. Also scout out some amazing places to stay and get phone numbers then come back another year with everything booked to try the walk again. Win win! Once on wheels once on heels ❤🎉
You are such a lovely couple, by far my favourite UA-cam couple, your journey through life together is the most important one you will ever take, much love and blessings to you both ❤
Thank you so much!! ❤️
Get well soon Janine. And i will pray that both of you are well

Well done to both of you. Janine you are a trooper - not wanting to miss the pilgrimage. Don't damage your feet - the pilgrimage will be there if you have stop and wait until your feet heal. Liam will continue to support you as needed.

Oh well good luck for the rest of your journey guys. 👍🥰
Thank you! 🤗
Aww bless you Janine. You are so so brave. I don’t have a very high pain tolerance so feel there would be no way for me to continue in so much pain. You deserve a 🥇 ❤
Ooof yeah, not just the right hiking footwear but the correct socks are a must for those distances. Gets better soon!

💚💚💚
You guys are amazing love your videos very good content stay safe hope it all goes well for you both
Thank you! Will do! 💚
Plantain herb is really good for blisters and skin healing. Put the leaves in your socks or shoes you can wear them like a plaster/bandage. X
So sorry not having much luck hope all gets better soon
Great vlog update and hope Janiene’s feet recover. To finish off the walk after a few more days rest.
One thing is for sure, you two lovely beautiful people…. you are living life to the max in all its twists and turns, and in truth that is life…. Of course when things aren’t quite how are you wished them to be can be upsetting, but both of you have this enormous capacity to deal with the here and now and are fine examples of how to live and breathe your way through difficulties, happiness and pain and joy….
I’ve been following you for a long time and it’s a real privilege to get to know you a little bit through your video Vlogs. Thank you so much .
Love and light, peace and heart❤ John
Heal and carry on i would say enjoy the journey.
Hopefully you be better soon.
A wonderful video,l really felt for you both.
Take care and hope your feet are better soon. The scenery in your video was beautiful 😊
Thank you so much 😊
Look after your body first and foremost. The Camino will still be there for another time. Love to you both.
Liam my hat goes off to you. A husband's foremost responsibility is to love and care for his wife. She's under your loving protection. Great that those two angels were able to help out. Blessings onto you all.
Please be careful with CBD oil as the recommended maximum daily does has just been dramatically reduced. I’m so sorry about your current issues. Poor Janine ❤
Good watch loved the views with drome.
Beautiful couple hope you feel better ❤
Aww, hope your feet get better Janine. ❤
Im planning a camino in September next year so Im following this with great interest!
Everything happens for a reason so don’t be disheartened , speedy recovery 👣 Janine . When the body heals give it another go xx💚☘️💚 God Bless
Hello you beautiful souls. Thank you for your update on the Camino which I loved, but so sorry for Janine and her feet. Sitting in my home in the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria I love how I can look at your vids and feel like I'm there too. Thankyou. Stay safe together❤ ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for another inspirational video. Take care
Don't worry about not being able to do the Camino by just being there and trying to do it was an achievement, most important thing is that you get fully better.another great video guys and well done to you both onwards and upwards.

Poor Jan, I know what it's like trying to walk with blisters, I couldn't do it, hope you heal and it all gets sorted, hugs

Cheers Hamish, much love mate
Hi Guys. Have been an avid viewer for some time and enjoy your vlogs very much. ❤ I'm so sorry you are having a hard time these last few months. What doesn't break you makes you stronger. Stay strong for each other. Thanks so much for the interesting fun and heartfelt vlogs. Stay safe hope things get better for you both and Morgan starts pulling his weight❤
Thanks so much for watching avidly, much love for the support 💚
I said when you started...."fail to prepare, prepare to fail"
Not surprised at all 🙈🙈
Sending you both, best wishes.
As I commented on your last video, you should have had walking boots from the start usually One size bigger than your shoe size. Also decent padded walking socks. Xxx
Janine brought a well worn pair of hiking trainers, a year old...with the heat and the feet grown thing it seemed to not be enough
@@ThoseHappyDays you need boots not trainers so they support the whole foot and ankle.
@teresawright5326 I understand what you are saying but many out here have sent their boots home and bought hiking trainers. Lots of others have swapped for sandals
So happy your okay 👍
Oh love to you both take care xx
well done Janine the vids on the towns are the best bit, carry on taking the bus, the old man will be fine walking, looking forward to watching both sides. best of luck Guys.
Hope you’re feeling better soon Janine , don’t beat yourself up if you have to take the rest of trip by coach . you may want to do the pilgrimage again at a later date . You have been to some fantastic places over the last few years and I’m sure get to do many more . Keeping fingers crossed for you both that your van troubles sort themselves out one way or another. You’ve got each other and are a lovely couple , things will work out in the end ❤x
To be honest, this sort of content is a lot more interesting than 'Vanlife' stuff in the UK.
