I agree and just prooves that a little museum can do this and all these larger airfields or airshow end up being cancelled due to health and safety issues etc. Good day out and chance to see some wonderfull aircraft.
Thanks for sharing. Last time I saw the Lanc it was a gate guardian at Squires Gate airport Blackpool in 1971. Dad took me to see it and you could climb the ladder and get inside. He piloted a Lanc with PFF. Great to see the old lady come alive again.
You're welcome. I never tire of seeing or hearing her start her engines. Hopefully one day I will visit for either a taxi ride or a tour inside as would like to experience what it was like inside them.
I think this is a time will tell situation as I know they are working to get it in an airworthy condition. I am sure the museum will let us know all about it when the time is near :)
Thank you. Unfortunately my battery was very low and I decided to save what power I had left for the Lancaster and Mosquito run. The little bit of footage from the Catalina was at the end when she was leaving.
It would be nice to see the three Lancs flying but I think the Canadian one visiting the UK was sadly a one off. It would be nice to see the Mosquito fly but heard someone at the museum say she never will be able to fly again just taxi runs.
Events and More UK the mosquito is made up of bits and pieces taken from crash sights so for example one undercarriage is from one aircraft, the gun sight another and so on.
Love this place one of the best little airshows and captures the atmosphere of the old days of the RAF very nostalgic

Great Camera work and nice overview of the show. Thanks.

Will Just Jane ever get airborne again

Very good, except its a shame we didn't see the Catalina actually lift off and fly round (unless it was just a fast taxi past!)

nice film wish I could of gone

Cant wait to see three lancs flying. I am sure the mosquito will fly someday with new airframe parts we hope ???

Thy can say any thing you don't order others around
@ 9.54 Not too sure these chaps are fully au fait with the principles of aeronautics. To get it flying you've got to push it FORWARDS!
