Rina, who I haven't touched and don't expect to be using soon because I'm going a bit slowly through the story and haven't met the character yet. (Also, the camera in this game is messing with my situational awareness and a casual glance at her skill list implies she's a puppet fighter: I don't feel ready for that. I still cannot even reliably team cycle in both directions or dodge chained attacks. Right now she'd be a crutch I don't want to rely on.) Haven't picked one from the standard banner yet and will likely put it off; was failing to pull for Ellen because I've failed to get a decent "freeze" game in Genshin Impact or Star Rail and was hoping to build that way from scratch here.
Since you managed to get to hollow zero i can finally speak out my theory about it. So if you've watched the lore video that ZZZ released on their channel, you would probably be able to piece this together as well. I think the reason why they're so interested in getting a legal way of investigating hollow zero, is that they're looking for their teacher Professor Arche who got lost on hollow zero when he was investigating it. Also, Professor Arche founded the Helios academy. Not only that but the mcs name, Phaethon, is the name of the son of the sun god, Helios. Guess what else is named Helios? Yep, Helios academy eho was founded by Professor Arche
I am super enjoying the fact that this is the first Hoyo game with Unlimited FPS on all platforms, and it isn't too much of a resource hog despite that enhancement. Makes playing it feel SO smooth! Also btw, on mouse + keyboard you can press C to switch to the previous character instead of hitting Space to switch to the next one! Though I think when Quick Assist pops up (the thing that prompts you to switch when you get knocked down and the next character comes in with an attack) will always be switching into the next character.
@@vortexinfurnus oh yeah I learned that tech recently as well and rebinded the key! There's a whole lot to combat mechanics and tricks I still have to learn haha
@@GoDogChain Yeah very understandable, the combat kinda goes crazy if you look deep into it. Also currently still watching the vid, but I really love how both siblings have their own unique personalities and both interact in the story. Feels good to not have a silent self insert protagonist for a third time in a row. It kinda adds more weight to the emotions esp a bit further on in the story since Wise / Belle talk quite a bit (Chapter 3 was huge, not sure where you are now in the story)
@@vortexinfurnus Oh yeah I am just close to starting the finale of chapter three. and I agree! I love seeing the MCs actually interact, it is a much needed change of pace that I appreciate (instead of them being separated for once-a-year reunions or the other just not existing XD)
@@GoDogChain Yup! Oh sweet, Chapter 3 is my favorite. The way that each Chapter is interconnected and builds upon each other is really interesting and fun imo, with it all building up towards a grand conspiracy. Personally find this sort of “one continuative major narrative” much more interesting than Genshin since in Genshin each nation’s story is very isolated from each other, with revelations in each nation not really aiding to our wider goal but rather Dain’s annual appearance filling that role. HSR kinda too since our main goal is to “fight Nanook” but the story of each region is fairly isolated too. ZZZ does things a bit different with how the Cunning Hares returns to introduce us to Chapter 3, plot point from Chapter 1 is the reason we first get along with Victorian Housekeeping, and how Perlman had more relevance implied during Chapter 2/3 which relates back to Chapter 1/2, it just feels kinda cool. Gives you a feeling that everything matters and helps build to the bigger conspiracy. Very curious to see what the climax of the arc will look like for ZZZ! The numerous unique NPC models are also really cool! Makes the world not feel as bland. Also helps that they maintain a fairly understandable level of language for the story and the terms are not too hard to remember, HSR in Penacony was so bad with the verbose word choice and lengthy metaphors. Genshin isn’t as bad, but there’s so many unique terms that ONLY apply to one nation that you just forget about them by the next (can anyone name all the Darshans or Inazuma Commissions?). Makes it a bit easier to be gripped especially when joined up with the animations that breathe so much life into the characters compared to the other Hoyo games thus far, and each cutscene is genuinely just amazing to watch.

@@GoDogChain I meant ironic in a way that they are breaking all the barriers and pushing their limits in one game while they are not focusing on the skin colors of the characters in the other game.. Nonetheless I would like to see Paimon say fuck and shit!

chapter 1 is already so good. I love this game
