    A really good and powerful interview. It brings me closure. I think that the Benoit tragedy has been especially hard on some people working in the wrestling industry and on wrestling fans. David speaks about things that happened 10 years ago and describe a clear picture of what was happening.

    Its funny how its the people who actually knew Benoit like Chavo, Bob Holly, Jericho, David Penzer, Nancy's sister who all say the same thing that Chris had a very serious or even "dark" side to him but its the Marks online who never even met him who swear he was a aint and it wasn't his fault , it was brain damage or it as all some plot by Kevin Sullivan, because of shit that happened 10 years earlier in wcw

      chriskoob It's funny that you say those names as they believed that Chris was a very good guy before he did what he did.

      Yeah from the outside he seemed fine. I worked at a gas station in peachtree city and he came in alot back in 98. The nicest guy you could ask for an autograph

      I strongly believe that it was Chris’s 85 year old Alzheimer’s brain, that’s clearly a lot, and I mean a lot of brain damage for someone who was only 40 years old. But I will add that on his last tv appearance when he’s standing in the ring with cm punk shaking his hands. Chris looked super and I mean super emotional. And it looked like he was crying. If you watch it you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about

      Also I’m still suspicious on why nancies Wikipedia page claimed that she was dead, way before we even knew? That I still can’t get out of my head and do want answers on that.

    Ill add my voice to this as well. People are finally starting to talk and explain things we could not have known as fans. Between this and the Chavo interviews, a picture is starting to finally form of someone who was already troubled. We just never saw that side of them. Thanks to Mr. Penzer for doing this interview and to Hannibal for sharing it with us. You're giving a portion of the IWC (a small portion but a portion all the same) some closure on this horrible tragedy.

    Penzer doesnt seem to mention Eddie Guerrero at all? Did I miss something? Surely Guerrero's death contributed to Benoit's downfall in mental sanity

      Not true. Chris Benoit killed his family and self two years because of Eddie’s Death? What a joke these people believe in nowadays 😂💯

    I feel like David is right about that. but I always felt like if not only Johnny but if Eddie hadn't passed away then what ended up happening most likely would've never happened.

  • @biffroberts1007

    Ya know something? I believe him. I saw a shoot by Teddy Long who said that Nancy wasn't the easiest person to get along with. And then there's the time Nancy filed for a divorce from Benoit as in her words, "I'm afraid of him" only to later stop the proceedings. And Benoit & this IS proven, had a history of abusing Nancy or at the very least he DID in fact strike her before. So add all this into the equation along with his depression over Eddie Guerrero's death & a career that was winding down, along with what David Penzer said here, & its kinda hard to still think that Benoit didn't snap. IMO we ALL have our own demons in life. Just so happened in Benoit's case it got the best of em in the end. Happens sometimes. Not that I condone what he did cos I don't. There are no winners in any of this. But I never for one second thought that Kevin Sullivan had anything to do with it & I still don't. Benoit simply snapped. Like I said, happens sometimes. Still sad though. sigh........

      yes i agree with you. I understand why people want to believe he didn't do it and even tho i'd rather believe that he was set up , it's almost impossible to think other people were involved in this. kevin could have done it , people do crazy things for love and for revenge and these theories make sense in some points. i even read that there were fingertips in benoit's neck that were too big to be his but at the end of the day and facing reality even tho it pains me , it was probably Chris who did it. RIP Benoit family.

    As far as Daniel's size, when you stop & think about it, Chris Benoit wasn't really that big in stature either. Not that there's anything bad about it, but size wise, Benoit wasn't that tall either. Still sad what happened though.

    The Wikipedia page being edited MUCH before the incident tells me people aren't fully honest. ... someone KNEW way way way before. And it's never brought up. Although I agree if Eddy & Johnny would've been alive, they would all still be alive.

      It was a coincidence. People make fake edits on Wikipedia all the time. He just happened to be right. There was also an online rumor that Paul Walker died in a car accident the day before he actually died, and that also doesn't mean there was some conspiracy. Shit like that just happens.

  • @144church

    "First thing that went through my head did he kill her or did she kill him, didn't have a thought in the world that it was anything else". The fan boy's in denial still using lie's and rumor's to attempt to defend him are pathetic. I guess when there is no evidence to support your theory you invent some

    • @con-spira-series
      @con-spira-series 2 роки тому

      There's actually no evidence to support Chris killing Nancy, Daniel or himself. I have seen the police report and there is not one single thing that proves Chris is a murderer, arguing with your wife doesn't automatically make you a murderer neither does having a short temper. Hannibal has more evidence against him of violence than Chris Benoit does, I mean he did stab a referee in the head multiple times ffs.

      @@con-spira-series No restriction order was put against Chris in 2003, right? Maybe it was somebody else. Such a fanboy, just accept the reality, he did it.

  • @jonathanhensley6141
    @jonathanhensley6141 Рік тому

    A big issue of what happened is the police contaminated the crime scene by walking all through the house and touching everything. In dark side of the ring Nancy's sister said she had a restraining order or protection order against him but later dropped it so she feared for her safety. Everyone knows domestic violence has gotten to a point where the spouse or significant other has been killed but i do think there are others issues that were kept from the public.

      That's EXACTLY what I'm saying. :) I started my undergrad in 1996. Worked my way through college. I didn't have TIME to watch wrestling anymore. Until about 2000 I would occasionally watch RAW. (And even then... starting in '98)

      He was always there but you could barely hear him. WCW's production was crap. The color commentators would always talk over him when the wrestlers made their way to the ring. His microphone wasn't that loud either and you didn't see his face that much when he was in the ring. The camera's weren't on him like the cameras in WWF would be on The Fink when he announced. Honestly, I had to double check to make sure this was him. I didn't watch TNA so that was news to me that he was also there.

      That's what I'm saying! EVERYBODY knows The Fink... just like everybody knows Bruce Buffer. I swear I've never seen this guy before in my life... I attended StarCade "Chi-Town Heat"... And I did see a couple of minutes of Nito here and there... But I don't remember this guy at all. (Would've seen The Fink, Buffer, or Lillian Garcia in almost every match...)
