FIREBALLER100 “authorities said happened” as if they were gonna say anything other than the truth there’s no reason they would cover up a fake fighters story.
They might not have covered anything up but they sure carried out a lazy investigation. Plus they let the neighbour go in the house first at the welfare check. Before the police officers. She could have encountered anything!! That was one thing I couldn’t understand.
Definitely a pay cut on house show payoffs at that time to work for ECW but I agree they wouldn't have fired him unless he did a major fuck up because he was too well liked in the back and as you said was good for helping young talent.
What are you talking about? An aging wrestler being demoted and expecting to job for future talent is usually a clear sign the company is preparing to move on from them at some point. Look at all the other established talent who went to ECW and what happened to them. Most were gone from the company within a few years.
@@JimmyNoobtron3518 Benoit was still one of the best workers in the company and was well liked at the time. Every time I watch a Sid shoot I always come away with more respect for the man than I ever had for him as an actual wrestler...and saying that, I now look back on his matches in a kinder light. He knew how to work crowds better than given credit for & he understood the showmanship of the business. Was he a great wrestler? Not really. But he made up for that in other ways. Sid could never be accused of being lazy. He worked even if he wasn't ever going to be taken seriously as a worker.
Unfortunately, the many face plants and bumps Chris Benoit took turned his brain into mush. There are many serial killers, which have been driven to kill out of brain damage... Whereas I cannot completely justify what he did, I will always remember his contribution in the pro-wrestling field... After all, he put his health in jeopardy to amaze and entertain us.

Tbh I think Regal realized what probably happened and didnt want to talk about what a great person Chris was out of the possibility that he killed Nancy and Daniel. And well, he was right. Tbh even I thought Chris seemed a bit off when he was the most emotional about Eddie Guerrero's death, I thought in the back of my mind "I hope he doesn't kill himself". But I didn't think he was capable of taking his wife and kid with him a well.
I don’t think he ever will out of respect for those still living with this (Benoit’s son, daughter etc). Nancy’s sister and a few others pretty much confirmed without too much detail that that marriage was extremely volatile.
I get the perspective that Chris had anger issues and that Eddie was his go-to for resolution. Then when Eddie passed, Johnny Grunge became his guy to go to. After Grunge's death, that's when things went completely south as far as his moorale went. It also seems like he has trouble comprehending some things. Like when they said they found his search history on Elijah resurrecting a dead child.
There are just things that cannot be known. There is great evil in this world, and this was a product of it. Such an endlessly fascinating tale of loss. Interesting to listen to the words used in this video, and how some distance themselves, maybe emotionally but more so even physically, while others focused on drugs or just not understanding it. Kevin Sullivan, for all of his reputation as a dishonest person according to some in the wrestling business, seems like a decent guy. That whole situation in WCW was tough on him I’m sure. Who knows what really went on behind the scenes. He is a thoughtful person that seems to have cared about his ex as well as her family.
Benoit was a fantastic wrestler, one of the best technicians of all time. But as a human, he was flawed. Like it or not, we ALL have our flaws and shortcomings. His brain and body were significantly damaged, he was on substances that alter the chemistry and thought processes. The anger and depression, along with the other issues at play in his life, led to him committing the unimaginable. He murdered his family, and it seemed like he planned it out on the short term (the Bibles, the note). It wasn’t spur of the moment “snapping”, it was cold blooded and calculated. Benoit is responsible, not Sullivan or anyone else. It’s groovy to have heroes, but you must remember that our heroes are human, too...
I truly believe that Chris benoit was suffering from some sort of head trauma that led him to possibly hearing voices or being overly paranoid. His journal he was writing in after Eddie died tells a bit about what was going through his head during that time leading up to his family's death. He seriously believed that people in higher places were after him and his family as well as alot of other crazy thoughts and feelings that were going through his head everyday. The amount of concussions he took turned his brain to mush and there is no one who can convince me otherwise. I dont believe chris benoit was a monster who was always capable of doing what he did. I believe all the years of head trauma took their toll on him and he lost his mind.
Yeah i believe that he was showing signs of truama from his journal and all the crazy writings he wrote down. I dont think he was bat shit stupid but i definitely think something changed in him for the worse.
Angle said Vince told him he was gonna be making less money and perform in front of much smaller audiences when he went to ecw I'd call that a demotion.

Steroids. Depression. Concussions. Death. Grief. Drugs. Alcohol. Marital issues. All of that rolled into a ball and possibly more all led to what unfortunately happened in that house to Nancy and Daniel in late June 2007.
I will never gloss over what he did or make any excuses for it but there was reasons . He definitely had CTE which permanently alters a persons personality and ability to self regulate . There is also his physical health . His autopsy revealed severe cardio megaly ... the rumor was that he knew he did not have long to live ... some say less than 10 months ... then there was the possibility of Nancy filing for divorce and suing for custody of Daniel ... thats enormous pressure on a compromise brain

It's been a year so I can hope you guys learned better but there are more than 10 type of steroids and your even dumber if you think you were taking at all comparable levels. Drugs and brain damage turned him into a monster unless you're even stupider and believe the conspiracy theories. Were you injecting or taking oral steroids? Because that would make your comparison and conclusions even more laughable.
The story of Benoit is the same as the Dynamite Kid except unlike Dynamite's wife, Nancy didn't know when it was time to give him the one-way ticket. And she just stuck with him until he just completely lost it, if i remember correctly the order of events was Nancy died one day, then Daniel the day after and then finally Benoit himself on the third day. What i think happened was that he got into a fight with Nancy she threatened to leave him and he went overboard and did her in in a fit of rage, then the day after, he realized that he wouldn't be able to keep Daniel and he'd go to jail for it and so he did the rest on the following two days.
Yea, people, cuz Kevin Sullivan has the resources and ability to murder three people, one of them an amazing athlete, kill ALL three of them damn near simultaneously, and make it look like a murder suicide?!?! Yea, ya'll probably believe the Earth is flat to!
People can blame steroids, cte ect at the end of the day chris beniot did an unforgivable thing that there can be no reason that justify or erase the severity of his actions.

Cuz he’s the one who killed Nancy for leaving him for Chris. Then he killed Chris and his son to make it look like a murder suicide. It’s a triple homicide and Kevin Sullivan did it. I said that since day one. I’m sticking to it.
You got people saying that there was people on him because of his marriage and everything else and yet just because the police come in and give a "report" I can see some of the evidence but to just overlook it because it seems better is flawed, even as a scientist, a psychologist, or even a fireman you know some other shit happened, it's a shame they won't talk.
Wrestlers are heros in the eyes of men and women and especially kids but Chris Benoit killing his family that was beyond a villion. That was a horrific act
Because he physically abused Nancy. And it was probably uncomfortable for him. He booked his own divorce. Little did he know it would turn into a funeral.
Just look in Chris Benoit eyes man I always thought he was a little crazy even though he had his good qualities before he murdered his family just my opinion
Yeah, he always came across as intense, esp. when he was with the horsemen....I think Nancy threatened to leave him and he snapped....he wasnt going to get screwed in another divorce...then after he killed nancy maybe he panicked and tried to figure out what to do....then he did it. just my opinion, I agree with davey's kid.
My brother and I met him in 1998 and even then, he was just really hallow. We took a picture with him, and it's eerie that we stood hip to hip with a suicidal murderer.
The guy at the start could be right. Everybody talks about Eddie but his career was coming to an end. If you build your full life on something & you know it’s ending. That could be a snap
The one person Chris could have talked to Johnny grunch. He himself passed away. So yeah Chris was all alone. Nobody to talked with after the death of Eddie Guerrero in 05. to be honest after hearing tens of testimonies from people who knew and worked with Chris and hearing the police reports and reading the autopsy results i could say confidetly that chis benoit in his clear mind would never do such a thing but people need to remember his mental and physical state not only the bumps he took during his career left him with a brain similar of a 80 years old schizofrenik patient which was mentioned in the autopsy and keep in mind chris was in his 40's and also WWE medical team neglectance of concussions and various health issues and the secret approval of steroids and testosterone from the company and all of that combined would leave the person of no exclamation of what Chris did and i didn't even mention his personal life issues
Nancy's death could be reasonably argued as a crime of passion (he did it in a drunken rage), but daneil's killing was all about the methodical elimination of a witness. He carefully planned what happened to his son which is proof that he 100% was in full possession of all his mental faculties, and his ultimate decision to hang himself came about because he 100% knew that no jury or judge anywhere in georgia would caee about any affirmative defense he could offer which would've meant a certain death sentence.
@@JCSClipFinder Alcohol (even massive amounts of it) only stays in your system for about 24/36 hours, he offed himself almost three days after killing nancy so of course there wouldn't be any in his system. The human body is extraordinarily efficient at eliminating toxins from itself, by sunday morning he'd have literally pissed the last of it out and by the time he hung himself that sunday night he'd have been clean as a whistle alcohol wise.

Totally agree with Nova. HOF talk is insane.

Good content! Kudos to you Hannibal. I remember being in high school when it happened. I was so devastated that I legit quit watching wrestling for a few years, especially when I found out what really happened. Back in the day, he was one of my favorites to watch on Smackdown.
By "what really happened" you must mean "what the authorities said happened". Pretty sure you weren't there to witness it.
FIREBALLER100 oh shut up. Get over it. Benoit did it. There’s no conspiracy. Wtf do police gain on covering an aging wrestler that was on his last brinks of his career.
@@orlandodanielperez5131 Show me the exact moment I claimed the police were covering it up.
Sandman reminds me of Steve-O...

No way Benoit was getting released. He was sent to ECW to help get the young talent ready.
Definitely a pay cut on house show payoffs at that time to work for ECW but I agree they wouldn't have fired him unless he did a major fuck up because he was too well liked in the back and as you said was good for helping young talent.
He was going to dominate at ECW & be given a run as ECW champion
What are you talking about? An aging wrestler being demoted and expecting to job for future talent is usually a clear sign the company is preparing to move on from them at some point. Look at all the other established talent who went to ECW and what happened to them. Most were gone from the company within a few years.
@@JimmyNoobtron3518 Benoit was still one of the best workers in the company and was well liked at the time. After ECW was scrapped and have the tragedy not happened, he would still have had a good midcard role with the company. Look at Rey Mysterio now and he is 5 years older than Benoit was at his death.
@Bold One benoit didnt care about belts lol. He said in a interview when he was world champ he said i knew they were going to probably put the belt on me but if it didnt happen i wouldnt care
He sold for Robocop and Shockmaster. Willingly.
That says a lot.

I cannot wait to hear William Regal open up about this one day...
I'm pretty sure he knew what happened
@@Mike33422 What really happened to Chris and what did William know about? Sorry but I really don't know the whole story
@@lasergame98 13 years ago in the summer of 2007 chris Benoit killed his wife and his 7 year old son and then himself and if you watch a video where they pay tribute to Chris some of the wrestlers talk about how a great person Chris Benoit was and how he was a great wrestler anyways if you see willam regal face and his body language you could tell that William regal knows what really happened he just didn't want to say it
Tbh I think Regal realized what probably happened and didnt want to talk about what a great person Chris was out of the possibility that he killed Nancy and Daniel.
Oh shut up dude lol
There are just things that cannot be known. There is great evil in this world, and this was a product of it. Such an endlessly fascinating tale of loss. Interesting to listen to the words used in this video, and how some distance themselves, maybe emotionally but more so even physically, while others focused on drugs or just not understanding it.
It’s groovy to have heroes, but you must remember that our heroes are human, too...
maybe it was both. he was planning it, but he didn’t expect for it to happen when it happened
