"I ran out of ideas" what a legend lmao
Well bob ross didn't run out of ideas, I quess that's what happens when you are a real artist with talent. Just saying.
Actually a real artist just go in & do it, there should be no motive, just let it pour out, a real artist couldn’t truly answer the questions of “why you do it?” dat wat pissed Jean michel off, cuz he was just simply a artist doin wat he liked to do
@@mgtowchampion7961 art is less about skill and more about intentional expression. Honestly that's all it takes to be an artist
@@yum8666 so let's basically praise someone who stole a photo of Marilyn Monroe and used a colour scheme on her photo that a 3 year old would use in school finger painting class while ignoring artists on UA-cam who spend months/years working their arses off on art pieces that they don't get recognition for because their art does not have intentional expression ? Andy warhol was not an artist but a mere retard who should have been aborted by his mother, Andy warhol is a fine example on what was wrong with the 1960's
Also may I ask are you on drugs ?
@@yum8666 show me just one realistic painting that Andy warhol ever did ?
Andy warhol was a master at promoting his art through his showmanship. It would have been interesting how he'd have used social media.
Yeah
He was not an artist. He never created anything from his own mind, drawing a soup can is not art. What drugs are you taking ?
No Andy warhol is just stupid (literally). His IQ was 86, he talked stupid, his art was stupid and people who worshipped him were even more stupid.
Right?! I actually would've loved to see that. 🤣
He doesn't belong in this time. His time was back then and he fckn dominated it.
Andy's like "wtf am I even doing here"
Andy Warhol was a genius. 😎
I don’t belong here
Who even does lol@@Yeehaw123
The unmade bed of its day
"Is you success due to your self-portrayal?" "No I just work all the time" Legend.
I like how when the photographers were snapping pictures of him, he snapped pictures of them too! 👌🏾🤣🤣
Right 😂 genius move
i’ve been a fan of him since i was about 13, never heard him speak until today lol
He's more open than usual. Love him ❤️
He is all about sarcasm of American life, dont you get it? Sarcasm of photographers as he takes their pictures back at them, artists as he fills the canvas with mundanes, not talking at talk show....he is hilarious...More of a comedian then anything, listen to the dingy answers, done on purpose...he is making fun of the establishement and they cant figure him out...
Yes, he was quite funny...but his art is still horrible. What a weirdo, lol, but in a good way. That was the best of him, his sense of humor.
Warhol embraced mass culture and painted his favourite soup to turn away from abstract art.
@@Shannon_Robbie Exactly. he basically pulled a “r/iam14andthisisdeep” on the entire expressionist art trend at the time. He literally pissed on copper coated canvas to go against the “high-up in their ass” of abstractionist arts. He was the ultimate shitposting artist at the time.
i agree with you. I always thought he was a master of taking the piss out of the media and modern life, they couldn`t pin him down. I`ll paint a soup can...they all bought it $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
@@nzcsxAnd that, my friends, is why art is amazing.
Imagine how amazing in would've been living in New York during this era around the Factory/Studio 54 era
Ari boulogne en parle dans sa biographie. Il était le fils de Delon et Nico. Delon l'a renié. Andy Wharol était très gentil et généreux avec les gens qu'il aimait
He invented the 40+ year old lesbian look and that’s all that matters. What a brave and successful artist.
All these men in suits standing around them saying they’re from mars and taking pictures back at the paparazzi😂
"i ran out of ideas" slay
A legend in his own right. His influence on pop art will be seen forever. If you're ever in Pittsburgh, go to the Andy Worhol museum
Why would anyone want to go there ? I would prefer to go to an art gallery that has real art. Are you on drugs ?
I'll bet my hoarding is much more interesting and sanitary.
In his new autobiography, Bernie Taupin writes that talking to Warhol was like talking to an 8 year old girl ..... I now understand why ....
That guy is a qualude expert is what he is. Legend also.
😂
lol ❤ love ya ! Agree
My late partner of 21 years ...NYC ICON JOE FRANKLIN ..INVENTOR OF THE TALK SHOW ETC. would meet Andy Warhol @ THE TUDOR HOTEL. FOR LUNCH MANY TIMES. JOE WAS ON THE COVER OF ANDY WARHOL'S INTERVIEW MAGAZINE 3 TIMES. I WISH I HAD ONE 💜
I AM JODI FRITZ. Joe's grieving widow.
Imagine Warhol visiting England in the early 80's and running into Stanley Kubrick in a camera store and then having tea and lunch with Kubrick in a cafe....and then being allowed to film it. I'd give my left arm to watch THAT film 😊🤓👍👍
Well you have obviously given up your brain already to think that Andy warhol was an artist so it's a good start for you so far. Andy warhol was not an artist. May I ask what drugs you are on ?
Did that happen?
@@travellingshoes5241 sadly not
It doesn't matter how old he was
He was always young at heart yet very wise
😂
Indeed!
I swear this video looks like an 80's spoof video made today.
Porqué ?
No, it doesn't.
Very interesting primary source. As long as the guy who thought Andy was "the greatest artist" was very wealthy, Andy had nothing to worry about
Andy Warhol was the greatest American artist of the 20th century.
An inspiration for all people on the spectrum.
I think he’s tripping balls here that smile gives it away 😂
Andy is the master of VAGUE, he's the clown, and the public are the puppets. He loves putting two fingers up to the art world, but Oh, so nicely. Let's face it, Andy ruled not only the art world but the 21st century. There will never be another more intelligent artist on this planet in our lifetime. Todays art world is a sad reflection of the mediocrity that follows in the wake of a hurricane. It's Andy we cherish. Thank you Andy for bringing so much glamour into the world.
Andy gotta be the coolest looking person ever
I will tell you a short story. his parents were migrants from Eastern Europe specifically from the Slovak Republic, there is even a museum of Andy Warhol with his original works and his personal belongings such as a wig, a leather jacket, etc... it is located in a town called Medzilaborce. His mother had a very good relationship with her cousins, with whom they regularly sent letters. His mother even sent Andy's original paintings to her cousin in Slovakia, writing to her about her son's great success in America. The cousin allegedly wrote back that she wishes him success, but his paintings are not her cup of tea. Legend has it that Andy's cousin put the pictures in the basement because she had no idea that they were being sold for a lot of money, unfortunately her basement was heated and Andy's pictures were destroyed forever, today those pictures would have an incredible value.
Andy made anti-art. All of the art snobs didn’t get the memo. He was literally mocking art. Even in his life - his interviews, he’s mocking everything. The very process of being interviewed. His entire life can be viewed as a work of art - anti-art.
I just love him
"I used to eat everyday. I still do."
Warhol was a genius of marketing 😊
Love Andy’s artwork!
His genius is his simplicity👏👏👏
BINGO.
His "genius" is that his utter lack of it is not seen for what it is by all of the morons. He knew that. They still don't. They made him die a rich man.
Andy Warhol is an American icon.
You can't fool me, I saw Men In Black III.
It's actually quite impressive how he kept that facade of being an idiot up. Frustrating and annoying but impressive 😂
Cool
Most of his time spent just trying to get up in the morning. lmao too real. I'll always be fascinated by this recording Angel.. and that hair.
he reminds me of norton's character in glass onion
Netflix is rubbish.
Be smart and stop looking at that crap.
Died a year later. RIP. What a legend.
Fun fact, he's an MIB agent.
Absolute icon.
RIP Andy Warhol (August 6, 1928 - February 22, 1987), aged 58
You will be remembered as a legend.
I saw Andy’s work in Chicago.I will never forget his broad reaching talents.the urine on copper was “special”
Men in black 3 brought me too learn bout him
Andy was way beyond his peers; he was an artistical genuis.
He talks and acts exactly how I imagined he would
it's actually interesting that during his old age warhol was very religious. he regularly attended liturgy and almost daily he visited st vincent ferrer church in manhattan.
Well he died aged 58 so I would say he skipped old age.
Yes this is true, he was religious but not just later in his life it was his whole life.
"Andy was a Catholic
The ethic ran through his bones
He lived alone with his mother
Collecting gossip and toys.
Every Sunday when he went to church
He'd kneel in his pew and he'd say
It's work...the only thing that matters is work"
Lou Reed
I really don't think any actors who've played him have gotten his manurisms correct
Absolutely correct.
Tommy Wiseau could.
The more I learn about Andy Warhol, the more I like Valerie Solanas.
This painting of the campell tomatoe soup inspired me, now i always put campells tomatoe soup on everything
Thoughts of Andy today. 36 years ?!
Him and his freinds were stoned
Don Watson with the case against (and Scottish accent) there.
He was so weird I like it!!
Santos la Vida el de Berta,el mismo😊
I just couldn’t like him anymore after reading about how he took advantage of Edie Sedgwick and many other artists
Yes, I read his diary and it was very telling on the lives around him that were tragic.
Edie was an adult, mentally ill. Not Andy Warhol's child, not his patient.
Adore her❤ yes Agree he’s not truthful and damaged many people. Never paying a price for the pain they all endured take care❤
Imagine: you parody art
The world then takes that parody and turns YOU into it's (the parody's) centre
You'd feel a bit awkward that nobody ever got the ridiculousness of it
Who was he!
😥a year before he died
One of the best agent in MIB.
He can screenprint soup cans, wow!
65k a picture lmao wish I'd been able to scoop a few up back then , they are going for 100+ million at auction setting records...
He was an absolute genius and he was way ahead of his time
They are so drugged up! Crazy
He looks stoned
Warhorse was hilarious!!
Andy was the original troll.
Lol😮😂🎉
just to get by - isn't that the truth
People say he was ahead of his time
No he reflected the times he lived in
One phrase
I show you the times
And thats exactly what he did
Commercialism Capitalism consumerism
Thats what Andy did
But this is very limited
The rest he shoved it up their ass the media the artworld and the general public.
The man is a true artist as he reflected the times and all it encapsulates
Thanx Andy like hole hole as in 🕳 bowies song is so prophetic spot on ❤❤❤❤
Now that’s a Pittsburgher lol
“Oh, uh yeah like it’s just *intelligible slowly quieting mumbles*, like I just felt it wasn’t special doing the same thing over and over again or it would just be like *intelligible slowly quieting mumbles*, and Yau know, but like I still do it like every d.. *intelligible slowly quieting mumbles*, so ya, yau know?”
I there are three things no more iconic to a Pittsburghers way of speaking it’s
1. Over using Like, but, yau know, and just for example “but like, just, yau know?”
2. Lack of energy in speech with a shy, unenthusiastic, and gravelly voice with speech that just devolves into a adhd like trance as your face goes void and you just contemplate your words and thoughts till you snap back into realizing your making no goddam sense
3. Mumbling
If I had not been tossed out of the Hare Krisna Temple in Boston that night in 1971? I never would have met you. If that wasn't enough, you were chatting with a woman who had attended the same elementary school in Los Angeles! Thank you Lord Krishna!
This dude literally played everyone and they still don’t know lmao
To say that he has all the depth of a puddle, would be insulting to puddles.
He is on the level of a cardboard cutout.
Isn't it interesting how some people seem to have opinions on things they tend to misinterpret?
I think Andy's art is bosh. His real talent was making the Art World cognoscenti its fawning Media look foolish. They still do almost 4 decades after his death.
Andy Warhol=death of Art
‘Now you can talk to göd’
☎️
I’m here because Somebody turned him into a Clone high OC 💀
Bunch of 60's weirdos... it's been said that it wasn't about painting a soup can... it was more the 'Idea' of doing it...'that' was the sensation of it all...
To Roxanne of Police Song? Connection I had her dress, she had introduced herself when we were strippers as 'Andy Warhol's Roxanne
Andy punked the whole world. He pretended he didn't think his art mattered, thereby causing everyone to believe it did, but he knew his art was totally worthless. Not to mention he didn't even do his own "art". His nonpaid workers at the Factory did. Once Edie Sedgwick asked to be paid for all the film work she did and Andy said, "don't you remember the time I gave you $50"? Meanwhile Liz Taylor was making $1,000,000 per picture.
I CAN IMAGINE HE TOOK ALOT OF ABUSE FOR HIS WORK
He didn’t. That’s the thing about him. He was the first guy to make “art” with seemingly nothing and people and rich people in coked out art galleries fawned over his stuff. It was a cultural phenomena in the sense that “Warhol did it, therefore it’s a masterpiece”. It didn’t really seem to matter what he did. If you didn’t like it you were labeled as “closed minded”
I was looking at a chart of IQ's of famous people.. it said Andy Warhol's IQ was 86 (low average)... after watching this.. it's seems accurate....
You don’t need an Einstein iq to be good at what you do. What are you implying here?
If only those were the end all, be all...
He had anal warts and you do too 😊
Think ou've really missed the point, he invented reality TV, mainstream modern celebrity culture and the emergence of the branding of mass production items.
IQ tests only test how well you took an IQ test. They test almost zero percent of your total intelligence. There are plenty of super successful people who would score very low on IQ test, and IQ geniuses who barely get by.
❤️💛💚💙💜🧡 Andy Warhol
Some say Andy is an alien.
Nah just a weirdo
2:09 00:13
He creeps me out
Robert Hughes, the famous art critic said " Warhol was the stupidest man I ever met "
I steal from Warhol
Andy Warhola would be 95 years old this year. So sad that he died alone in a hospital in NYC. He had no friends, just a bunch of "hangers on." All that money and fame and not a single friend to be by his side at the hospital when he passed away.
Guy seems to be on autistic spectrum, I doubt loneliness bothered him as much as your everyday person.
Bob Colacello was fairly close with him no?
lol he looks like someone pushed into his position. They put him there
He looks like he’s made of wax
As with Basquiat, he never seemed happy. Making weird faces, looking bored af, and always surrounded by hot-looking puppet guys just for the fun of it. Unsustainable living, and he died a year later.
HE MURDERED BASQUIAT
How did he murder Basquiat when he died before him?
@@lacecreationz2434 me when i spread misinformation on the internet
🤣🙃😂He made a fool out of half the world, he moved a lot of money, I think he was a successful clown, he was not an "artist", he was a fictional money-making clown put in the circus spotlight by others. Nowadays, our politicians are similar...
I’m here to burst some bubbles. This guy was not good at all.
Who helped more artists than Andy Warhol? Who provided more art than Andy Warhol? Not many.
Agree @Lord take care
hahaha the trio hahahahahahhahaha wtf
Makes Joe Biden look almost sentient.
Poor Agent W still suffering from this nonsense he got himself in
THANK YOU FINALLY SOMEONE MADE A MEN IN BLACK REFERENCE.
Creepy.
Andy Warhol fue un genio del arte que nació en una época donde los Estados Unidos era el país más conservador del mundo.
All a load of bollocks
Give me something that somebody actually worked on
