As far as I'm concerned. The best antenna for both 10 and 11 meters is a 102 inch stainless steel whip mounted right on top of a vehicle. Another antenna that I like is the Wilson 5k. I've heard good things about the Stryker A-10, but as far as I'm concerned, my two picks are the 102 inch and the Wilson 5.
none of your choices are on this list with that said the 102 with 6" spring totaling 108 inch is the best on your list here but there are some better and others that are as good. The Stryker is a good antenna and quite honestly it will perform better than thew 102 when moving down the highway sitting still the 102 has the advantage quit honestly movement is the 102's Achillies heel. Wilson 5K I have nothing good to say about since they sold out years ago as they have become junk, however if you have the presale version hell yeah, they were good and reliable, did not leak water in causing failures. The newer ones need to be avoided.
Big antennas are good but not very practical. I've run both 6ft fiberglass Wilson Silver Load and Firestick. Both work great but wiped around a lot while off-roading. Swithched over to the Wilson 1000, works great with out the heavy fiberglass whipping around! The next Fiberglass antenna I tried was the 1/4 wave 5ft Frances Hot Rod, it's a much lighter fiberglass rod that worked great and doesn't wip around like the heaver Firestick.
Had good luck with almost any mag mount I’ve used really... Wilson, midland, ect. Wilson 5000 is great. Had good luck with firestiks.. Love predator antennas.. heard good things about monkey made and of course the 102 inch whip
Monkey Made is really only for the superbowl (ch.6) clown worlders running tons of power on their overmodulated distortion radios. Predators can handle 10k watts but they are also great antennas for low wattage rigs. I live in a hilly/mountainous area and on 12 watts side band I have no problem talking 50 miles from a slightly elevated position. My home is in the valley between hills so range from the house is down to 35 miles sideband. On AM with the predator I still get 35 elevated and 20-25 in the driveway. I also have a Sirio Bull Trucker 3000 mag mount that does almost as well as the predator but the ears are better with the predator as I hear stations I can not get to that are 60+ miles away. My 108 (102 SS and 6' spring) does no better than the Predator.
102" Stainless steel whip is a 1/4 wave & all the others are trying to outdo them & it's not going to happen. All of those Coils are a waste of time since they cause a loss of signal.I know that many hate it but the 102" Stainless steel whip will always be the Champion.
Back in the day when I was using my Diamond Tram D42 radio I used a K40 antenna or the big stick on my truck. They worked well. Still have the radio and K40 antenna. Times changed and so has the technology.
Boy I got a laugh out of this video none of these antennas I would never put one on my car I put an 102in stainless steel whip on the back of my car on the center of the trunk, it came with a ball mount, use three grounded wires in different places on the trunk, put in 18 ft of LMR 400 coax and hooked up a RM Italy kp 203 100w am 200w side band. I added a little more coax to the whip and brought it down to a 1.1 match. did I get out? all the way to Trinidad West Indies Puerto Rico Ontario Canada California. anywhere except Europe You can't beat 102-in stainless steel whip period. I've got over 35 years with CB radios installing CB antennas on all sorts of vehicles and trucks. Yes the whip is one tall antenna it's not ideal for some people who don't want to put that on their car I understand that. But that is (the best antenna) to put on a truck or a car and you will get out guarantee Way further then the antennas that this video was showing you. Type of radio that I use Galaxy dx86v 10 m amateur ham radio. upgraded to 115 pep power control! And I hooked up a 198 ranger noise canceling mic.
Had a k40 but now get more longer dx contacts with little wil. Roof mount on a hatch back sedan. 60 miles ssb any time if quiet. Thousands with conditions, just 12 watt ssb, bearcat radio. Low swr and mount helps alot I guess. K40 was a pain in city, garages, theft. Wilson barely noticeable and cheap.
@@1OFGODSOWN I tell you I run a simple 4 watt radio that fires up with the ignition. I never will play with the big dogs. Went from a 102 inch whip grounded on a trailer hitch that always was a pain. Got a president New Virginian short antenna point blank in the middle of the roof that causes no problems even in most carwashes and pretty well don't need tuning. swr 1.3 to 1 across the middle 40 channels. I can talk to truckers 3 miles away and hear truck washes beggin for business 1000 miles away. Meet billybob with one or dual whips or firesticks and they ain't NEVER on channel 19. This must be a sponsored channel because in my opinion these antennas are really some of the worst antennas for cb. Maybe the browning might be ok. Truly the best antenna for mobil cb is the 102" whip. Fiberglass coil antennas are brittle and will beeak off. The lil wil mag mount is ok but certainly not even close to a true K40 mag mount.
FireStik FL3-B FireFly all it is good for is trail riding in a jeep or similar type vehicle where not more than a two or three mile range is needed. Midland 18-2442 & Tram 703-HC These are not good for more than a couple miles on average and would not recommend. Browning BR-28 narrow banded piece of junk. Yes they are tunable for a wide range from 25 to 30 megz but you have to tune for a specific area in that range. I have one I will sell for cheap as I don't even consider it good enough as a backup antenna due to its narrow banding characteristics. Wilson 305-38 (Little Wil) being the best overall antenna is laughable but it is dependable for about a five mile range on average. If you live in a hilly/ mountainous area the only choice on this list is the browning even though to me it is junk yet it is the best antenna on this list as it has the greatest range of those on here keep in mind they are only junk to me due to their narrow banding issue.
Wilson little will, for it's size it's ok but not a great performer for distance. (Wipe lengt 60Centimeters and based on 1/4wave) These are the best CB antenna's Wilson 1000 and 5000 are technical the same in size only the 5000 has a bigger coil for more power input but does nothing to get better receive performance (wipe lengt 1.70Meters based on 5/8 lengt) Sirio/Midland/President ML145 magnet mount performs way better then a Wilson little will and is cheap around 50euro's or 45Dollars so bye bye Wilson to expensive for a Little will. (Wipe lengt 1.40meters based on 1/2wave lengt) Sirio/Sirtel Mega/2000 and Sirio 5000 series out perform the Wilson 1000 and 5000 du it's longer size and gains 20-25% more output range and receive gain , wipe is 1/4 wave lengt (Wipe lengt 1.96meters height based on 1/4wave lengt) Tankwipe perform mostly the same as the Sirio/sirtel Mega/2000 and Sirtel 5000 because its 1/4 wave lengt for mobile use and very good DX performance when skip kicks in (wipe lengte 2.25Meters based on 5/8wave lengt) Yes the longer the wipe for CB the better it performs in receive and TX but also for DX whit Skip. Same story as Vertical base station antenna's . 1/4wave 1/2Wave or 5/8Wave or even 7/8Wave make a huge difference in Receive and TX Distance , the longer the Antenna that comes the closed to the wave size of 10.96meters the more gain it will put out and will receive. (only Impedance is a problem whit longer then 7/8wave to get it on 50-52 Ohms for balance so technical 7/8wave is the longest vertical antenna possible for CB) But Real DXérs use a 2-3-4 or even a 6 Element Beam or 1/2 Horizontal Dipole , Moxon, Bazooka etc etc for DX on SSB.

People that have no idea what to look for should never take your recommendations. If you are looking for a quality CB Antenna, do not get your advise here. Also just to be clear, NONE of the shorter antennas (under 4") are any good PERIOD

Hello
Do you also advise, without reels at all, or with, on particular dimensions??
Your best antenna is Wilson 1000 magnet. Are you at your 92 Fiberglass Whip were the spring, Mount
I was hoping you was going to pick Stryker for the #1 I have been eying that for a while and I thought that one you showed was a predator.
I like the Wilson 5000 or a 102 inch whip
Whats taller? Youre welcome
Stryker SR-a10 works awesome!

The New K40 is JUNK. If you see one opened up along side a Wilson 500 or Siro 5000 you will see just how Pathetic they really are.
I was wanting to know if you have heard of the K40 antenna i had one back in the 1980s but can't find anywhere now
Bell's CB Radio, and Right Channel Radios has them.
Any truck stop like pilot, loves, flying j , ta all have the k40 antennas

Put it in the middle of the cabin roof. It beats alot. Tree branches, garage ceilings, and low power lines.

which CB antennas are best suggested for SSB?
Whatever works for am will work for ssb.
