- Stage visuals I art directed and created (with additional 3D animation by Andrew Jerez) for the song "Disappointed" on the Nine Inch Nails 2014 North American tour. [NOTE: Unfortunately my camera's recording was incomplete for the first minute of the song, so I chopped in a few other shots from different shows to fill in the gaps at the beginning]. Rob. Please come back. You are such an integral part of NIN. The visuals you brought were next level in every way.
"And I am part of the reason" still hits hard
I saw the Auburn, WA (White River Amphitheater) leg of this tour & to this day it's still one of the best shows I've ever seen. The screens behind the band were like nothing I've ever seen before. They were trippy & vibed so well with the music. That and the lights, the bass making your bones shake, the dancing.... incredible night.
Trent dancing in the intro is so funny, as well as whenever he starts dancing/moving, trhusting to the beat while performing his more electronic songs lmao
The Tension Tour was magic- the visuals, the back up singers, the set lists and sound. Good stuff!
I brought my ten year old daughter to her first NIN show for the first date in St. Paul with her older sister it was her second and the visuals were overwhelming and put her to sleep she said later Dad I was overwhelmed. I even found myself at points of show having to shake them off it was absolutely amazing...
We were Xbox friends since the Lights in the Sky tour but I finally got to meet you in Minneapolis for this tour, which was astounding, and it was a sincere pleasure.
I love and miss your work with NIN , but will admire and follow your work: past, present and future.
I've had this album since 2013 but never gave it a listen, well what a surprise, now I Can't Stop.
This was one of the highlights of the Tension Tour. 🔥
Before I go setup to run lasers for an EDM gig I watch this for inspiration on what is possible.
Dude, so glad I found your channel, extremely impressed with your digital creations, my first time experiencing such a phenomenal show was in 05' in Jacksonville, FL on the with teeth tour, shit was like a magic show you fucking rule, Rob
Finally.
Awaiting there return to Dublin...long overdue 😭
Unreal!!
looks like a TouchDesigner project, really neat stuff
Please upload more NIN visuals content!
Even though I missed this and Tension's tour, I managed to go to Cold And Black And Infinite.
Man, I miss concerts so, so bad... Thank you again for sharing this, Rob. You're amazing.
Stunning - so simple yet completely immersive
Great job on that tour. Would love to see you back on their next tour. Loved the sets from that era
Amazing, went to the Houston Tx show
Absolutely beautiful
Back in the before time when we had concerts.... Loved this tour!
El final es minimalismo aplicado al máximo. Increíble!!!!
The end is minimalism applied to the maximum. Amazing!!!!
So good. The visuals are absolutely hypnotic.
As a lighting designer for the stage back when I was a duckling, I like to believe that your initial design conference went
You: I have this idea...
Reznor: Yes.
You: But I didn't tell you anything yet...
Reznor: I said, "yes".
What was the resolution on the LED screens?
That is kind of how it went down, actually! He had a lot of trust in me. As for the resolution, I don't recall exactly but it was ridiculously wide but actually surprisingly low-res. I think it was only 200-something pixels high. The LEDs on those walls were widely-spaced apart so they could be semi-transparent when needed at other times in the show. We had white covers for them that pulled down like shades over the raw LEDs to diffuse them, concealing the harshness of the pixels for content like this. @@RobSheridanProductions Well, it was a helluva design. I stumbled across that VEVO concert over the winter and spent the next hour alternately with my jaw on the floor or chuckling in surprise at the whole thing.
Sounds like NIN tours have replaced Pink Floyd in the "Let the LD play" category.
Oh yes
Где-то там спрятался сам Adrian Belew?
Rob: Thank you so much for these videos. Do you know if there is any chance that we are going to get some official Blu-Ray or 4K releases of the past couple of tours? I really would love to have these on physical media.
So sorry they did not bring you to the last tour in Europe. :( That was the only disappointment at The Eden Project.
Any chance you can share this with the ninlive archive, to avoid youtube's heavy compression for 720p content?
