One thing that helps to minimize bulk in the corners is to make sure the direction of the fold in the miter are in opposite directions on each side, I hope that makes sense😊

Piping, yes please!! I love your vids. Your style of teaching is easy for me to understand and not everyone can accomplish this. What I would like you to do is show us how to design and block and quilt on graph paper then go all the way to the finished quilt. Make the math easy for me, I struggle with that part. Thanks for all that you share, you are an incredible person.

Before you fold the binding over, diagonally clip off that tiny corner of the quilt inside he seam allowance to remove the bulk in that corner and you will get the flattest, sharpest, mitered corner ever.

Hi Christine, love , love your video's. I'm going to try the 3 inch binding on my next quilt. Still don't have my sewing room set yet I hit a bump in the road. December 14 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. So with surgery and radiation I'm just now getting back in the swing of thing. I'm so excited to get back to what I love so much and have a lot of new patterns I want to make. Keep up the great work you do!

Have you done any of those trendy Potato Chip Block quilts?...Did you see Sister Chicks latest... Hay! I bind my quilts any size i want! Ive only heard of this 2 and 3 inch binding within this last year. But then again i have only been seeing quilting videos for about a year. Anyway.... i made a quilt with the sides were o about1 1/2 inch and the top and bottom was somthing like 4 inches. It gives the quilt a longer look that i was going for. Sometimes I'll put a bit of extra battling in the binding. It gives you a little extra somthing to hold onto when pulling the quilt up closer to you when you're using it. Not sure where this 2 inch rule came from but i want my quilts to be something people like to look at! So i do what i think would make the quilt functional and pleasing to the eyes! Thank you for your video i have a quilt that i HAVE to bind with this type of corners. I'll probably have to watch this a few time! Thanks once again! Namaste

I would like to see the stitching on the back when you sewed the binding down. I assume you stitched from the front. Did you use black thread for the back? You are a good teacher.😊

I always try to use a very similar thread to blend in with my quilt backing 😍
