    The interview asked Bill why he refused to trade Hernandez to Seattle during the 2013 scouting combine, Hernandez’s teammate at Florida Percy Harvin was traded from Minnesota to Seattle on March 11th 2013. Clearly, Bill knew Hernandez true motivation was to be traded to play with Harvin. The request for a trade had nothing to do with starting over and fearing for his safety. It was just Hernandez attempting to lie and manipulate his way into getting what he wanted.

      Kraft clearly had some sway over this series. The director was on Toucher and Hardy last week and denied it but the way it ends leaves no doubt to me that this was The Bob Kraft Story. Still as a die hard Patriots fan it's worth watching.

      @@bobwalton4630 yes I totally agree. and it feels more like regret and an apology rather than a celebration of 20 years. and no offense to TB but he shouldn't be narrating it. if Bill won't do it, hire Daniel Day Lewis And why get a director who clearly doesn't like the team. hire Affleck if you must.

    If Kraft cared to hear what kind of person Hernandez truly was, he could’ve easily contacted NFL security. The NFL and league have their own security staff that investigate anything the league and owners care to know about. They’re all retired FBI and secret service agents, highly qualified, connected and able to get any info the league and owners want. They’re there to protect “the shield” as the commissioner likes to say. If Kraft wanted to know, I’m sure they had the info or could have gotten it for him. He simply didn’t take the time to ask, or didn’t want to know. It’s kind of funny the Pats media have failed to point this out and aren’t calling him out on it.

    • @randomflagg7331
      @randomflagg7331 6 місяців тому

      exactly. pats media is in on it. kraft is selling this, "it wasn't me' image as if he were this innocent bystander not the beneficiary of bill dragging him to all those championships reluctantly, how dare he. and everyone in NE is falling for it.
      and id like him to compare what he paid for the team versus how much the franchise is worth now. idk the exact number but it's worth a lot of back massages if ya ask me.

    Belichick viewed the Hernandez situation in the same way he viewed Lawrence Taylor's situation of addiction issues with Drugs and Alcohol.
    Belichick under-estimated Hernandez's 'bad side'. That dejavu approach was no good in the end..

This doc is a well calculated hit piece from the Kraft family, so Kraft can look like a peach when it’s all over. Fans are seeing through the crap.

    I just finished this series yesterday and overall they did a great job. The highs were very high and the lows were excruciating. I always gave credit to all the players for coming together in 2018 and winning the Super Bowl over the Rams a year after Bill Belichick pulled one of the worst coaching moves of all time in the Eagles Super Bowl. It was interesting to see the players perspective on it now that they are retired. Malcom Butler comes across as someone who just wants to take the high road. The show cold have used more Bill Parcells because he was the one who rebuilt the Patriots, not Bob Kraft. And Belichick clearly didn't want to participate in this thing. He is the greatest coach of all time and while I always side with the players the filmmakers beat up on him so badly in this thing that you almost felt sorry for him at the end of it.

    This is what makes Belichick look bad?!! It's something that several other successful coaches have often done. It's hard to figure what's happened to sports media when it comes to Bill Belichick. There are over a dozen senseless and damaging, head scratching decisions over his last six years with New England. If anyone cared to look at them in wider context there IS a story here. It might just be Bill's ego got the best of him and he gradually consolidated his control and power to a point that he bit off more than he could chew. Or maybe something else that I'm not even considering. In any case when someone with complete control who reports to an owner makes move after move that weakens his team and dilutes its' appeal, there's a F%#%$g story there idiots! GO GET IT!!

    That episode didn't make Bill look bad. It's no different than what Phil Jackson and the Bulls put it up with dealing with Dennis Rodman in their documentary. No different than what Andy Reid put up with, with Travis Kelce and the sideline blowup and Tyreek Hill beating up his pregnant girlfriend. It's a sports competitive advantage thing, not really a specific coach thing. You don't win as a coaching staff and front office, your out of a job period point blank.

    I think the part people might be missing is that it’s very possible Hernandez hid this all very well. None of us really know the truth, but I remember when this happened it seemed like a shock to every player that spoke about it. He may have just played the good boy on the field and in the locker room and then had the other side when he went home. I’m all for chastising bill for anything he has done wrong, but do you really think the same coach who sends people home for being late, benches players for foot comments, is going to continue to play a murderer? I have a hard time getting past that. I think bill may actually care about the players(Ted Johnson aside), and may have just been a little too naive to see what was really going on amid the other personal issues Hernandez had.

    And yet despite it all. He kept that team consistent. operating at a high caliber for decades. Danny amandola is a nobody. his words wring hollow to me. in fact the majority of the players from the second dynasty i don't even know them they are shuffling in and out so fast its remarkable how belichick was able to figure these different puzzle pieces. most of these problems would have destroyed a team for decades and yet he was able to right the ship by making a slight course correction and the result speaks for itself. and so what he was going to trade brady and gronk because their value in draft picks would have fully furnished the patriots dynasty for decades to come. good ole dummy kraft through the kibosh on that and saddled bill with an aging quarterback, no succession plan and no wide receivers. brady would have easily been used in trades or picks to upgrade the offense and garoppolo would have moved seemliness into the helm as the new improved model. having learned from watching the best and with bill grinding him i have no doubt the patriots would have won 2 more titles if bill was given everything he wanted.
    if i was him i would have walked if they forced me to trade garopolo. parcells was right. They are just owners, the only time they get involved is when they want to screw things up. But bills loyalty was unmatched and he thought he'd be rewarded for that. for all he did. and it's a disgrace to see a man of honor treated this way. i hope the patriots get whats coming to them. i'll root for the JETS from now on. And i hop bill reconsiders and goes to NY. that will be two easy wins yearly against NE. A team that has lost it's nerve and chooses instead to operate smear campaigns to cast doubt everywhere but where it trully belongs.
