I am in love with this house!!! My tastes range from 70’s through 90’s and I wish these houses were maintained and resold!!! Seems like such a waste of
The Blond wood is Maple, when I worked for a furniture company their timber were sourced from Belgium the wood originated from Canada. There's iron in the water hard water creates white deposits calcium deposit. Very nice house I like the pink in the bathroom and pink inside closet. At the second house I like the little benches at the edge of the decking and the mural over the front door. A great piece of land attached to it. Thanks for this great video Ethan.
Ethan it’s hard for me to comprehend the dynamics of how this individual was a billionaire and wasn’t able to pay these homes off and lose them to the bank and then went bankruptcy. I don’t understand how you can lose that much money in just a couple years but that’s just me. 😮😊
Went from moving vast amounts of inventory; to everyone realizing the covid molecule did not stick to hard surfaces for 3 days. All sudden this business stuck with warehouses full of product. Person here heavily invested in future profit. No velocity of revenue moving. Oops. I own all this alcohol and it's burning my portfolio.
Multi millionaires go broke every day. Billionaires, not so much. It’s not surprising that this person went broke though. I thrift quite a bit and post-Covid hygiene items were in huge supply everywhere, free even.
Or he could just be telling us a bunch on BS. I don’t understand how he knows the history and background to how every house becomes abandoned. If he can’t give us the guys name then he’s probably not telling the truth. Not to mention how many billionaires are there in Canada. Also he claims these houses were just claimed just after the Covid craze but they look too dated and run down to believe a wealthy individual would be living in these modest dated homes just a couple years ago. Yeah right.
It amazes me how most of these homes are still salvageable and they still tare them down without even a second thought as to repairing what needs to be repaired and possibly turning it into like a hotel or shelter . Love your videos and tours.
My God I love the skylights in that house and all that positive pure natural light. Beautiful 80’s home. Love that staircase and overall layout. As for the last place, I always dreamed of having an indoor pool but I know they cause horrible moisture and mold problems.
I must say that when I see a mirror in your videos I always wait for that camera flip and "What's up guys" wave. ❤ Love it! Thank you for sharing another fantastic video with us. Well done!
It's so sad these house get torn down and we have so many people who have no homes. Thank you for bringing us along on your adventures. You are awesome.
Buy 'em, give 'em away and pay their upkeep. So many comment as you did but do nothing. Start a non profit with the many such commentators. It's a small world now, completely doable.
Your comments cracked me up. the dirty light switches, 80's this, 80's that. Good job. I really enjoyed this tour. And you are bang on with having it all one day, SPOOF, gone the next. Material stuff really means nothing at the end of the day. You sure can't take any of it with you ! Keep up the great work - and hilarious comments ! LOL
Why didn't someone donate all of those cleaning supplies to food pantries and homeless shelters. They can always use cleaning supplies.. Even those chairs look nice enough they could go to habitat for humanity or some organization who can help people in need.
The first is my fave. I loved both kitchens in there (put me on team light coloured wood for life 🥰) but i've got a hunch that the entire floorploorplan of the house on the left side was completely changed (as well as the basement) possibly sometime in the 90s. My guess is the original house probably had the stairwell to the left as you walked inside, and then maybe 2 small bedrooms, with the master at the back. That tub and sink were so pretty! I'm shocked at how bad the hard water stains were though (vinegar is a cheap fix). You went through house 2 so fast, but you're right that it wasn't the main feature in this video (i really liked the tub and painting over the front door though). Thanks for another great video & stay safe! 😊
May I say If I had money I would buy that house. I would repair what ever is needed. Love the layout and the dated appliances. It is truly sad that the owner had to go bankrupt. If there is one thing I would say it would be NEVER put your house as collateral for a business. If you lose the business you end up losing your house. I hope that he is doing good in his country.
Hey Ethan..cool video as always ..unbelievable amount of land ...1st house was huge ,odd shape rooms tho..coca cola room was different 👍..2nd house other than the pool ,was rough ...thanks fir the tour Ethan...stay safe well and happy 💋
I liked the layout of the first house and the tile in the bathroom above the tub. Second house, not a fan of that open concept. The trees surrounding the property were nice. Hope they all aren't torn down. Another great video😊 thank you for sharing Ethan 😊 I am curious about the basements... do most of the houses in Canada have big basements?? Or is it a location thing?? I've never seen so many houses with basements. 🤔
The first house with that enormous bathroom, pink tub and stained glass windows was AMAZING! Loved all the space in the kitchen, too! It must have been beautiful back in the day. The indoor pool in the second house was huge. Gross ... but huge! You can tell no one was actually living in it. Both places had AWESOME yards!!!
In my honest opinion, i actually liked the kitchen in the second house. The painting over the door was gorgeous and while the indoor pool when seen looked aweful, i think it was a place to maybe relax in between meetings. The other house i loved the bay windows. The first house felt too big to me. I liked the l shape kitchen in the second house. Seemed brighter to me. May have also been a guest house. A two for the price of one. Thanks Ethan! See you on the next one!
This property is huge you can build any thing you want on this property i like the first house better than the second house the second house was a little Bored but it wasn’t bad
I SERIOUSLY DOUBT either of these houses belonged to ANY BILLIONAIRE at the time they living in them and went bankrupt and weren’t able to pay these places off 😒
I don’t think it’s been empty long. Was being renovated and owner apparently ran out of money. Appliances in upstairs kitchen are new. Probably listed for sale not per se abandoned property.
A lot of homes have the bathroom and laundry room in the same room. If you’re lucky there’s enough room for a wall and door but a lot of times there isn’t. I’d rather have them share a room than not have room for both. I guess it depends on where you grew up and how big of a house you had.
Reminds me of this family in Qc. who won like $18 million about 30 years ago & went crazy,,, after a couple of years were totally broke . As for the fenced area , it could have been a garden before , weeds take over really fast if it's not maintained . Lobe the fireplace & hate drop ceilings with a passion . Thanks , well done ! 😎
I have a question? How do you get permission to "trespass"? lol... I love seeing the layouts of homes and how others lived,,,, the big old 1880s house with the gorgeous wide plnk floors was my favorite so far...
I was about to say why the power is still on because the developer doesn't want the basement to flood and cause a huge black mold problem that's why they keep the power on to prevent bigger issues from arising.
That guy was so noisy!! Grrrrrrr....usually the guys you're with are at least somewhat considerate. Nice house and too bad it's going away!! Thx Ethan, beautiful places!
Mosquito 🦟 bites and hiccups Ethan?? So funny how you’re so descriptive of your travails 😋😊 I love going in these explorations with you. Your passion for nostalgia is so you and fun. Wish I could be with you finding these cool houses. Yeah but 9 million for this one?? I think way overpriced. Your awesome Ethan and thanks for your fun tours 😊
Basement panel ceiling is possibly made of stuff that was outlawed in USA probably around 79 to 81 because possibly it causes mesothelioma or lung cancer. Is soft to touch if it is that stuff. Likely meaning anyone demolishing the place will catch a bad case of death unless they are wearing specialist breathing gear and hazmat suites. If so the ceiling panels should be removed by hand and carefully wrapped and disposed of. However demolition people will likely prefer to fatally contaminate themselves and the public by smashing it up with machinery to fatally contaminate as many people as possible when the open top quarry truck drives through suburbia putting mega trillions of asbestos fibers into the air to lethaly contaminate everyone. 😊
Property is amazing. I’m sure the houses were nice when they were first built. Both of them had some strange features that must have been added later. I don’t think either are worth saving. I hope the property won’t be used for warehouses or industry though.
That 2nd house was not attractive at all. just so mismatched everywhere. what a weird setup - compared to the home next door (1st house). That land will likely be redeveloped intomixed housing? townhomes, single family homes. Depending where this is too, but yeah, shortage of affordable housing, but I doubt it would be affordable to those in need of a roof over their heads. Thank you again! Safe touring!!

Not always but sometimes people.put houses as assets for their business, so when the business goes, so do the houses x
They being sold by him,,I don't buy it either,,it looks to. Me,,he was a salesman

Of course you have to "what's up guys" when passing mirrors. Love that you do that. Same with the "peace" at the end.
It amazes me how most of these homes are still salvageable and they still tare them down without even a second thought as to repairing what needs to be repaired and possibly turning it into like a hotel or shelter . Love your videos and tours.
I love both houses, of course the first one is sweet but that second house was a beauty back in the day!

I agree 💯

Beautiful house and I love the bay windows it adds character to the house. I like how majority of these Canadian homes are built with solid brick.
Your comments cracked me up. the dirty light switches, 80's this, 80's that. Good job. I really enjoyed this tour. And you are bang on with having it all one day, SPOOF, gone the next. i appreciate it thank you!
I love the fireplace and cabinetry in the first house. Would love to live in a house like that
Why didn't someone donate all of those cleaning supplies to food pantries and homeless shelters. They can always use cleaning supplies.. Even those chairs look nice enough they could go to habitat for humanity or some organization who can help people in need.
That house price is unreal !!! I would never pay 9 millions for that house
You aren’t paying for the house. You are paying for the land. If the man owns 20 acres, that’s what you would be paying for.
I like your Canadian accent. "Ouut." :)
Hoouse
Great une Ethan. Nice to be back...And life gets in the way, sometimes

The fireplace in the center of the room is awesome. Never seen that.
Cool video as usual Ethan! ❤️👍🤘
And there's that random chair in the kitchen of the first house!! 😊
Yes it sad when they get torn down amazing video Ethan

Oh by the way it’s the 2nd one that I Loved.
Hey Ethan..cool video as always ..unbelievable amount of land ...1st house was huge ,odd shape rooms tho..coca cola room was different 👍..2nd house other than the pool ,was rough ...thanks fir the tour Ethan...stay safe well and happy 💋
Beautiful houses at one time. Gorgeous acreage! Thanks Ethan ❤
Both homes definitely reflect the Italian.
I like the older home (swimming pool). What’s strange is the lack of bedrooms in those houses.
Great video. So sad to be torn down. I liked the first house
I liked the layout of the first house and the tile in the bathroom above the tub. Second house, not a fan of that open concept. The trees surrounding the property were nice. Hope they all aren't torn down. Another great video😊 thank you for sharing Ethan 😊

I watch your videos. And they are always wonderful. Thanks for all you do!
I appreciate it
Nice shirt....gooooo LA Dodgers from a SouthernCalifornianative!!!!!!😊
Nice tour of the place Ethan and I’m enjoying this video 😁The house is amazing 👍❤️😎

I personally liked both houses. Thanks for letting us go along on your adventure.
You should have tried to ring the doorbell. That thing was huge.
There's an entire house in the basement!!!
These two houses will be knocked down and they will build on the property is it’s lots of land
Nice. Pity. Another house going down. Did like the basement kitchen and the stairs. Very nice. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
They’re both beautiful but I would definitely take the one with the pool in a heartbeat! Great explore, Ethan!
There's too many homeless people that could use these houses! Why??
Yeah but how would they pay the taxes? Utilities?
He should've turned them into adult care facilities...
That is why the fence is there to keep people out. Lol
Beautiful property. A lot of nice plantings. Very big house.
I SERIOUSLY DOUBT either of these houses belonged to ANY BILLIONAIRE at the time they living in them and went bankrupt and weren’t able to pay these places off 😒
your doubt would be incorrect.
I don’t think it’s been empty long. Was being renovated and owner apparently ran out of money. Appliances in upstairs kitchen are new. Probably listed for sale not per se abandoned property.

The front of the house looks better than the inside.
Man it’s kinda funny hearing the other people touring the house while recording aswell
I like the first one . but you ran threw the 2nd one
. I like when you add them together. ❤❤ stay safe love ya
I could live in that. Cean and fix the basement. New appliances... Love it
I liked both the first one was my favorite ❤
The sculpture looks like Venus and Cupid 💘
2:35 Looks like someone is still cutting the lawn.
Reminds me of this family in Qc. who won like $18 million about 30 years ago & went crazy,,, after a couple of years were totally broke . Just an FYI, cabinets are not built ins if they aren’t in the wall. What you keep seeing are only cabinets 😊
Can't these cleaning products be donated to the red cross or something instead of just sitting there going to waste??
I wonder who pays the electric bill for these abandoned homes.
Ethan literally answers your question when he's in the basement of the first house. 🙃
500k or less would have bought everything 40 years ago. For years, there were always incredible deals on real estate.
I have a question? How do you get permission to "trespass"? lol... I love seeing the layouts of homes and how others lived,,,, the big old 1880s house with the gorgeous wide plnk floors was my favorite so far...
Oh my… we sold these wipes at my previous job during Covid. Now at my current job we have the big buckets sitting on a shelf collecting dust lol
Thanks for the thumbs up, Dude!!!
I was about to say why the power is still on because the developer doesn't want the basement to flood and cause a huge black mold problem that's why they keep the power on to prevent bigger issues from arising.
preempt wipes are still very much in business- which begs the question.....why did they abandon the place??
That guy was so noisy!! Grrrrrrr....usually the guys you're with are at least somewhat considerate. Nice house and too bad it's going away!! Thx Ethan, beautiful places!
Another great homes tour. All I can say is they spent too much, to get a whole lot of nothing.
Beautiful homes sure is sad to see these Beauties get torn down
This has to be around like Orangeville, ON and same with your video of the 1975 time capsule...my guess :)
Agree, great video!😢😮😅😊
I would suggest that they may have had a dog/dogs and that was why the tall fence was out the back of the home. Maybe even for childrens safety also.
Nice house 🏡
Dói o coração pensar que será demolida 😢, a casa subterrânea " é impressionante. Parabéns Ethan
2 apartments. That's nice.
I love that no matter if it's Canada, Australia or the States, the basement kitchen means they were Italian 😊
I have a kitchen in my basement, I am not Italian. We do a lot of pickling and canning and I don’t want to mess up my upstairs kitchen.
I clean houses. I'd love to stock up there!
Great video
Have a good day 🍺

Wish I could be with you finding these cool houses. Yeah but 9 million for this one?? I think way overpriced. Your awesome Ethan and thanks for your fun tours 😊
Seems like a low rent millionaire’s house. Cheap moldings, doors, windows.
Love the pool!
It looks like they might be renovating it? I would

Both houses are nice 😊
At least it didn’t look like the family just all of a sudden mysteriously disappeared and left all their stuff
Love your stuff
It is so sad that they lost their beautiful house
Do you sell the doors and windows ceiling lamps stove ?
Property is amazing. I’m sure the houses were nice when they were first built. Both of them had some strange features that must have been added later. I don’t think either are worth saving. I hope the property won’t be used for warehouses or industry though.
Its funny how he is paranoid about locking the door. My parents never locked their doors even when they werent home.
Is the first house possibly a duplex?
The list completed basement.
Front door is very pretty. That’s gross when there is nasty yuck around the light switches
Rally cool fist house, what a shame the water's bad! there is only so much treatment that can be done!! too bad
That 2nd house was not attractive at all. just so mismatched everywhere. what a weird setup - compared to the home next door (1st house). I have those Preempt wipes at my work.
I bet divorce was involved in this situation.
8:40 listen carefully for a few seconds.
if a developer bought both and they are 15 acres each they can build a whole subdivision there
If there were a large TV stand in that living room built-in maybe 75" or more TV, than that built-in wouldn't look so out of place. Maybe?😉
