Every time I see mega mansions like these it makes me that much more grateful for my 2500 sq ft place
I agree totally I have only 1200 ft.² in my condo downtown and I’m just totally happy here. It’s just a personal thing obviously but I just prefer a more simpler life.
Me too. All that money and no sense of style, heritage, history, so hideous.
There’s always people going “I’m glad I’m poor 😇” on every mansion video lmao
@@rb1278 some do, yes. However, I don’t know if it’s a matter of people saying they’re poor and they’re glad, they just don’t desire these material things, nor do they care to keep up with the Joneses ,as the Joneses don’t care less anyway, they care about themselves. I know personally I prefer a much smaller simpler place in life and I could afford more , but it’s just not appealing, nor could I care less about impressing anyone with what I have materially, I much prefer the mental and cerebral aspect of a person as compared to what they have materially , just a personal preference, To each their own.
This home with the furnishings are worth a lot more than the selling price for sure!
Thank you for the tour of this beautiful home, finally I found a video of a luxury home that has class and charm. No to painting the wood, the wood in this house has old world flair. This mansion is amazing!
Thank you for watching!!
Vincent price theater doors,, it's hunted...
I love the tour outside before the interior. When looking at properties I do the same thing. It just makes more sense to me. Once your finished going up and down the stairs inside, you leave because outside was covered first. I enjoy these long videos touring the old, new ad newish homes in Detroit. Keep up the great work.
Amazing home. Would be great to watch if you didn't move sooo fast and make us dizzy 😳😵💫
I remember cleaning the windows on the house when it was still under construction some 18 years ago.
We were getting the paint off the glass next to the basement pool waterfall (it’s petrified wood by the way) when the ground started to shake and there was an incredible roar like a jet engine.
Turns out the owner (won’t say his name) was showing his friends the theatre and they were watching Top Gun.
The other thing I remember was that he said that the doors for the home theatre were actually the doors from the home of the late actor Vincent Price.
So wild seeing this place again after all these years.
It's funny you mention that - when I met with the builder he said "can you imagine watching Top Gun in this theater? The seats rumble and you feel like you're there"
@@PaulWolfert it was legit. That’s literally what happened. And it was just a test because the place was still under construction so he was specifically trying to show it its highest volume. It was terrifying in the moment.
@@PaulWolfert I was trying to remember which builder did it, either Vito or Moceri.
Truthfully this LOOK more like a Moceri. Moceri liked those real French windows, and VA was always a bit more modern. But I think VA had/has more connections with finer craftsman
@@miwindowguy it was actually designed by Moceri (Dominick Tringali )
@@PaulWolfert I guess you can say I knew the area very very well
I love this beautiful home - must be one of the bonuses of selling real estate - to see such beautiful homes.
It's one of my favorite parts of the job!
Painting that beautiful wood would be a sin. You dont paint over wood that beautiful. That house is beautiful, and I love the grounds. That price is a bargain for that size and charm of that house...😉
If anybody paints that woodwork I will take them DIRECTLY to jail. I agree with everything you wrote.
@@243wayne1 Yes!..lock'em up!..🤣😉
@@sjtalksandlife You damn right! Lol.
One of the two toilets in the primary restroom was bidet😊.
So glad to see someone knows!
Exactly 🎉
Yea. The dude doesn’t know what basic European bathrooms have
Imagine the cost to maintain all of the rooms, the home and the grounds.
Not for a person who can afford it.
What's the point of buying an entire hotel just for yourself?
Who cares? Their lifestyle didn't affect me at all.
That’s why the outside is already looking run down. The gardens are in terrible shape, as for the lawns!!
🏰⛲️🏰WOW, THAT’S ONE HUGE CASTLE OF A HOUSE AND NOT FEATURED WERE THE OTHER HOMES THAT ARE OFFERED WITH ALONG WITH THE PURCHASE OF THIS ONE. (A REALLY COOL COMPOUND) 🏰⛲️🏰
The entire and I do mean, the entire house, the grounds, all that outdoor living, the furnishings and furniture itself is, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!
*Anyone who says differently has No Eye for Beauty!!! (fYI)
It's hideous McMansion but whatever
It's definitely a gorgeous home I would have to hit the lottery to purchase then turn it into a wedding venue in order to keep the property properly groomed and all maintenance
Great idea..
Ok I have decided to subscribe. I want to also offer you a few tips. 1. Your a realtor, it's not a Costco Room, it is a butlers pantry. 2. The eating area by the kitchen is the breakfast room nit a dinning room. There is a formal livingroom, a family room & a front reception/parlor/receiving room. Trust that if your clients/viewers can afford homes like this, they will know the names of the appropriate room & will have a full staff. You are doing a great job of viewing/showing the rooms just brush up on the actual names and use of each room. Just some positive feedback for reflection 😊
I personally wouldn’t purchase a house from this realtor. He is not very businesslike and definitely not knowledgeable about architecture and comes across almost like a teenager.
You’re and he said the builder called it a Costco room.
What is a "dinning room" exactly, who is being dinned and why? I always find it funny when people criticize others but can't even spell it themselves.
@emfraza7953 I always find it funny when the spelling police show up to lay down the law...if you read correctly you'd know that it was positive feedback not criticism. And maybe it was a typo or person's with disabilities like dyslexia making a positive feedback comment... but right just the spelling police have the freedom to comment... pound sand!
She wasn't criticizing him at all. She gave him positive feedback that could help him in his business with these type of buyers. It wasn't negative at all. @@emfraza7953
The weather is also beautiful with the clear skies. The house is absolutely beautiful..
It was the perfect day to show it off!
This is like a state-of-the-art home. What a beautiful kitchen.
Watching this while sitting comfortably in my 475sq ft Granny cottage... no doubt smaller than one of those his & hers matching bathroom suites. 😊 Fun tour, phenomenal estate. The price blows my mind though.. didn't you say it cost 22M to build? Then you've got all the furnishings and other houses, which look massive as well.. AND the 22 acres, to boot?!! Seriously boggles my mind.
Thank you for the tour, viewer from California.
Such a beautiful home my only criticism is that you fly past the points of interest like not pausing long enough for ppl to appreciate the intricate wood work units and fire places but the house is exquisite
This tour is an hour long - wasn't sure if anyone would stick around for a 2 hour slow(er) tour 😅
@PaulWolfert ohh I totally would for the craft details its beautiful
Unbelievable! Nicest house I've seen since touring the Dodge mansion and Cranbrook
I grew up across the street from Cranbrook. I still visit. The Detroit Lions had their training camp there. I lived right across from the Tennis bubble which is gone now.
The home is beautiful. Thank you for the tour.
It is a beautiful home for sure. I have a friendly tip for you, when you are talking about the ceiling or whatever, please point the camera at it. A few times you talked about a feature and you hardly should it. 😊
Beautiful in every way. Would love the see how the water features look once this beauty is sold.
That Mansion is awesome I mean I ain't never seen nothing like this beautiful inside and out you can do everything right now call in your own home😊😊😊
This house is magnificent. Original hardwood
Beautiful! Thank you for the tour!
Its nice to see a mansion thats actually lived in I follow alot of abandoned buildings channels great job warm vibes from Ireland ✨🕊️☘️
Definitely a great retreat atmosphere. A lot of gardening retreats. On site farm to home meals.
The living room is gorgeous some of the details are beautiful specially the paintings
So beautiful and makes me feel like I'm in a Harry Potter movie.
Well done ! I appreciate how you covered this big property in a very timely manner. 👍👏👏
It's my dream house!! Can't stop thinking about it after watching the whole video. Subscribed your channel & will eagerly wait for more of these tours.. Great job done!!
Thank you! Now I just need to find more homeowners to let me in 😄
I’m closing in on my retirement and I’d like to move from Minnesota to a warmer climate, but the prices on homes are ridiculously high and Mortgage prices has been skyrocketing on a roll(currently over 7%) do I just invest my spare cash into stock and wait for a housing crash or should I go ahead to buy a home anyways
The stock market will plummet further, so I advise you do critical analysis on companies you are going to buy. Even better, you could have an investment adviser guide you restructure your overall portfolio and offset the bad apples you’re holding, that strategy’s been working for me so far, saves me a whole lot of stress and continuous anxiety and also it’s very time efficient.
I’ve honestly been considering going the route of an advisor, this current market is no jokes for the average retail investor, but do these advisors really make any notable changes to a portfolio or am I better off on my own?
Very well said, who is this adviser that guides you and how did you find them? I don’t seem to find any locally and I’ve been having a terrible year.

You'll probably get more information if you do an internet search for her
Sorry can't do your video, although I would love to see this gorgeous property. For the short amount of time I did watch I got motion sickness. You really need to work on your camera angles. You are trying to show something on the ceiling but you didn't point the camera up far enough. I will check back for improvements.😊
This house is the bomb, it looks more like a elegant hotel for the very elite, I thank you really have to have a very large family to live in a house this size, this is very very elegant!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for the tour.
Thank you Paul for the tour. The house is beautiful indeed. 🧡💛💚
What a beautiful mansion, this place is a palace.
Gorgeous! Thx for the vid !
Thanks for watching!
Pretty wild the half bath was probably almost as big as my first house,
😂 same
I can’t stop thinking about what that locked door in the basement was for. Secret room, bunker, armory, treasure room, batcave…?
Diddle room
That is sure one beautiful home!
Going to buy a lotto ticket!
Do it! Call me when you win 😅
I subscibed to your channel Paul because of this video...good job..Beautiful home
Thank you! I appreciate that 😌
Stunning. Yes please.
That mansion is absolutely beautiful.
Just add the winery❣️Love the elegance🥰
Wow that control room where furnaces are and water heaters what a master piece! I would sit in that room for an hour just taking it all in if it was my home ! the cost of electricity bill per month has to be at least 9,000 ! wow impressive beautiful home for sure Thank you for the tour Paul .
Excellent video!
Thank you!
We are local, whenever we upgrade in house we definitely will consider using your services 😬
I love the layout of the house, just not into old style though! I would still re arrange something!
Who in their right mind would want a monstrosity like the this no matter how wealthy you are?
This is the house where the nouveau riche like to play Lord of The Manor. An embarrassing and vulgar display of wealth. A parvenu dream house on steroids.
Ridiculous display of a rich asshole
A real slim shady,
When you have been raised in this type of luxury it becomes "normal", hard to explain, but true.
@@rgille2Nah, his home he just sold was more modern than this one
It’s very impressive, but I can’t imagine paying the taxes, utilities, and upkeep on a property this large. Even if you paid cash, it would be too much.
I LOVE how you do the exterior FIRST! How it should be! Thank you!
Love all your videos😮
Thank you!!
*HERE! TAKE MY MONEY!* I love this place.
great job on the tour
Incredible home for the price, absolutely worth the money.
I actually thanked God that I didn't desire a house that grand...not even in heaven. It is beautiful and everything you would ever want, but the headaches with everything that needed to be done would be overwhelming. As time goes things will need repairs, cleaning, etc. No thank you!
Absolutely agree. It would be a full-time job just keeping everything maintained, hiring people, paying bills, coordinating repairs, etc. You don’t own it, it owns you!
When you can afford a property such as this one, you can afford the staff to maintain it and repairs would not be a major worry as they are for those who live in far more modest homes!
Stunning!
Absolutely gorgeous home!
Very impressive...
ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW, WOW!! I subscribed too
It's like a guest house on the Biltmore Estate.
Biltmore Asheville is a carnival attraction
@@chortle1708 It's measured in acres, not sq. ft.
Wonderful home, quality built. But who lives like that today?
Many do. Johnny Damon has a house for sale where I live in Windermere for 30 million. This house is much more beautiful than his. On Halloween he lets the people of the community go there and has music and treats. Nice guy.
It's Eminem's house
I'm pretty sure the statue at 5:42 was bought at a charity silent auction I attended; The winning bid was $13,000. (There were some very wealthy people and politicians there.) Looks like they have another too by the same artist.
Probably! There are few similar statues in that yard. Is the one in the very front of the thumbnail (in the yard) by the same artist?
Anybody see that mansion being built on Orchard Lake, west of Kirk on the Hill Church. Id say a mile west of that, on the same side of the road. I had to slow down to take it all in, its huge!
Was listed at $11.5M two years ago then went to auction with starting bid of $2.5M and didn't sell. It's a very small market of people who can both afford it and like the style. But if you have the money, might as well make it what you like. Let the kids' inheritance take the hit. The owners Ray and Mary are/were wonderful people. I think she's still alive but obviously doesn't want a house like that at her age.
I can't even imagine the cost of upkeep in maintenance. You would have to be a billionaire.
True
Was this a house or an ivy League college campus!? This is truly a special place. Fantastic details. I watch a lot of these luxury home videos and this stands out!
Loving it, extended family and help lovely place to grow. Like other cultures that live together.
Beautiful home
Awesome, gorgeous castle, Paul. What a dream for a large family. Painting any of the wood in this home would be a crime. Would you be so kind to slow the pace of your video and limit camera motion? It is difficult to appreciate many of the details because of the glancing view effect. Blessings!
I love this place.
One suggestion in order to eliminate the guesswork on where you’ve been through place a tiny smiley face sticker on the Door knob.😊
Beautiful stunning 🤩
I would leave it. Gorgeous!!
I think it’s beautiful!
Beautiful big house.Thumb up nature! Rudi.
I love everything about this home!! I wouldn’t change a thing! Who built this lovely home and why, why would they leave it???
Was built by Vito Anthony homes - probably downsizing.
A nice venue. I can think of all kinds of ways to use it.
Would make an awesome hotel and venue it would be such a cool destination
Nice weather I would be sitting outside having coffee in the am and meals outside
I would do away with the “game room” that really isn’t and make it a Christmas storage area. Love, love all of the woodworking. ♥️♥️
Looks like a Resident Evil Mansion…I Keep waiting for some zombie dogs to start chasing you😁
This house was built for a wealthy businessman in Rochester, MI (Raymond Nicholson). Unfortunately, he passed away in 2019. This is a family specific dream house. I really appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail. Though this house is not my style I admire many of the aesthetic and historical touches. Still, it was one couple's dream and forever home. The children might not want to keep it because of the maintenance costs. There is probably someone out there who will love this place, it's just that all the extra touches that Ray & Mary wanted make this house a unique vision. I pray that it finds a good owner 🙏🏼
Boa noite
Essa Mansão estupendo primoroso incrível espetacular
Amo esse tipo de vídeos sou do Brasil 🥰👏👏👏😍🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷❤❤❤❤❤❤
Leave it, no paint! Beautiful! I don’t live too 😊far from the Hearst Castle. This is a miniature of that.
This home is exquisite. I absolutely love everything about it. ❤ Which Pastor lived here?
22 million and it's not even on a lake ?!?
It’s only $6.9 million he said it was built for $22m
Built for 22 and it's on 22 acres for only 6.9
Ok, it's gorgeous. What's wrong with it? Why is it so inexpensive? What's an average electric bill? It's very rich-looking! There is a lot of upkeep with a house like this. Beautiful tile work. The wood detail is stunning! Has a real 90's vibe. Thanks for sharing! 🥰
I know it's a residential place butI would definitely use it for business or non profit purposes. It actually reminds me of a church/retreat. I would want tenants to be more long term than a air b&b. Maybe 6 months or a year stay.
I would probably need a minimum of 20 people there because I would probably be spooked a little walking around at night if my family were not there. I would want at least two guess houses. I'd probably turn it into some sort of church and outreach program. But just trying to live there with a few family members would still probably feel too empty because it's HUGE.
I know it's in Michigan but it's really feels like you should be able to see a beach in the distance. Great video.
If I ever became a millionaire, I’d still be fine with a home that was 1500 to 2000sf max. It’s a nice home. Just way to much size wise for most people.
I would add an arts and craft room,a library for adults and window seats for kids, also a game room, and for me an ART room with lots of easels and art supplies everywhere! You need to learn what a bidet is if you are in RealEstate, as well as many things you missed, sorry, just study your trade more!
😂 I know what a bidet is...I said "I almost thought there were two toilets" - what did I "miss"?
I would have deserved it living in such an amazing mansion! I always got treated very bad! Had a very bad evil Boss, always was insulted by him and he also looked downstairs to me.... I really wanna become super rich one day!!!!
I wish that was in DUBLIN OHIO. WOW!!!
I would love to see, some flower gardens 😍
We might be looking in to this house soon, maybe in a month or two, it depends
Rent me a room! 😂😂
If you do, I'd love to help: paul@movingmi.com
Ok I'll get you in mind and also my name is Paul to
I love this butterfly home. I want to buy
All I see is the upwards of 35% of the total purchase price in updating this house it would NEED and as much in renovations, redecorating, and furniture I would put into the project.
I find it disgusting that 22 million is spent on one family, not to mention the price of a full-time cleaning staff & insane utility bills, while the city of Detroit is in such desperate needs of rejuvenation.
You could have just kept it short and said "I'm jealous" 😂. Seriously though, the person who could afford this house has worked hard to earn what they've got and in the process likely paid millions in taxes. They've paid their dues many times over.
You must be a liberal
Well, the disparity between income levels is rather noticeable, and you do wish the more impoverished could get help, but our free enterprise system un fortunately doesn’t always grant that, incidentally, I don’t know if you’ve been to Detroit lately, but major parts of the city especially downtown and Midtown are beautiful now.
@@tommyroche9142It's Eminem's house
It's Rochester, MI. Full of celebrities and professional athletes.
I don't know the wedding venue in the Detroit area, but WOW, normally huge houses are somewhat a disappointment and many seem to be just more square footage but yeah, I may play the lottery for the 1 in a 200 million chance to win and get this
6.9 million sounds like a great price for all that house and land! Did Vito Anthony live there?
It's an AMAZING price for a 22M build. There's no way it could be re-built for that price
Was that Birdseye maple in the elevator i didn't get a good look at the paneling
