People saying Gen 3 Glock has "5.5 lb trigger" was totally a false advertisement. One that is with me is way over 7 lb. Glock did not achive anything near 5.5 lb until Generation 5 which is the Glock generation I consider okay without any modification. My Staccato P trigger was not all that impressive. It is about 4 lb. However, it is not the poundage I have a problem with. It is not smooth as I expect it. Maybe it is a break-in issue. I shot a Series 80 Colt that had a smoother trigger. A smooth 6 lb trigger is easier to shoot than 4 lb trigger that feels a bit gritty.
