    I have seen some chairs also done with springs . When does one use springs and when would one not as you did? Lovely job by the way and very helpful. Thanks .

    Lovely videos, I was wondering if you could make one on how to do like a "floating" back suport with fabric around it? I cant figure out how they make the seams so "invisible" 😅. For an example you can take a look at the 60ths scissor chair from the designer Louis van Teeffelen.

    • @faceliftinteriors
      @faceliftinteriors  10 місяців тому

      Just had a look, they look like the fabric on the back is stappled off round the back then a separate bit of fabric is gripped around the back. Hope this helps! 😊🙏🧵✂️⛏️

    Great video, as always! I was wondering, do you ever use edge roll on a seat like this? Or in what type of seat would you put edge roll? Thanks!

    • @faceliftinteriors

      Thanks, I would use edge roll on a seat that needs a flatter look. This was super domed so didn't need edge roll. 👍😊✂️⛏️📐📎

    Hi, What gauge staples do you use? 20 or 22? Most people us 22 Guage 3/8 of an inch. The device you suggested for the US is a 20 gauge 1/2 inch bridge. Not sure why one would choose besides what is available locally. I believe i can buy any of them around here. Just outside New York.
    Thanks,
    Steven

      Hi Steven, many thanks for your comment. I use a BEA 71 series staple gun. With 71 Gauge staples I'm sizes from 4mm -14mm. So the most popular would be 71/10
      Hope this helps 🙏✂️🧵⛏️📎

    Brilliant videos. I’m covering dining chairs in a subtle patterned fabric. Should fronts & backs and all chairs pattern match?

    • @faceliftinteriors
      @faceliftinteriors  6 місяців тому

      Thankyou.
      Yes if possible try and keep the pattern matched as much as possible. You can even turn the fabric upside down on the back if needed. Hope this helps 🙏 ☺️ 📎📐⛏️🧵✂️
