I think the reason Katakuri isn't Logia is because his awakening doesn't align with what Oda wants Logia awakening to be. Since there's no doubt Logia awakenings are going to be a big deal.

nope, special paramecia is real, doflamingo has a paramecia, his awakening lets him turn his surroundings into string but not himself, he can also make strings out of think air and make a clone of himself but not make himself string, but katakuri on the other hand can turn himself into dough, make his surrounding dough, also maybe you could clasify him as a zoan since he transformed himself into a donut once, well i mean katakuri's df have alot of wasted potential since if doffy can create clones out of his stringg (although its not confirmed he can create other peoples clones he should be since why not be able to make luffy out of string aswell) then why cant katakuri do so with his fruit, i understand that strings r of different colors but dough is not but your wrong since colored dough somehow is an actual thing
I think the reason Katakuri was changed to “Special Paramecia” was because unlike logia users. He can imbue his fruit power with Haki. We have yet to see any logia user use armament Haki on their fruit power. But we have seen Katakuri do it.
I may be wrong in this but doesn't Doffy imbue armament haki in his strings when its revealed that he was an awakened fruit user? I am posting this before fact checking so I may very well be wrong. Honestly, I think it would make sense to call the fruit from how it first worked before the user figured out its special nature. Katakuri, for example, probably only used the paramecia part of his fruit before discovering or learning the logian traits. And for the crow one, I think it should be a special zoan fruit due to how it seems more likely that the crow part was used before the logian properties.
In respects to odd devil fruit like that, I like to hold the theory that the classification mutates as the user grows stronger. Perhaps the devil fruit was unstable, and it's powers and classification shift over time.
Luffy's fruit could also be classified as a multi-type devil fruit, since in his awakened form, he can change the enviroment turning it in rubber (kinda logia and paramecia), in base and other gears he can strech himself like a paramecia rubber fruit and can turn into a mythical character (the sun god nika), which will also clasify the fruit as Zoan
What if (and I know this might seem farfetched since devil fruits cant be shared) Karasu isn't originally a human but actually started as a murder of crows that ate the Mythical Hito Hito no Mi Model: Tengu? Or one crow that was a leader of a murder (if that is how social interactions between crows works) ate it and Karasu's cloak is actually always the "lesser" crows in the hierarchy.
A devil fruit power instantly transfers to whoever took the first bite. So only one crow would have the power. That would break the laws that Oda established. But we saw that Dragon is in contact with Vegapunk. So who knows. Maybe Vegapunk made something like this possible.

Its also possible he only said this because he forgot and wanted to excuse himself, he does that alot (Like Mr.3 floating in water during alabasta despite being a fruit user. Totally makes sense because Devil Fruits came into existence first and the people of the One Piece world put them into categories afterwards. So naturally some fruits wont fit into a single category or any category at all. Also i have a theory about the Devil Fruits being created by peoples dreams. What if some fruits werent dreamt up by people in the ancient past but by present day One Piece characters making them the first users. Like Tamago for example, his name literally means egg. So his parents were fond of eggs and he grew up loving eggs too. Then one day he has a dream of becoming an egg and finds this devil fruit. Im sure there are other characters like this whose names match their powers which doesnt make sense unless this theory is applied. Stretching this even further it would explain whether the chicken or the egg came first in One Piece. Since his name means egg its probably the egg that came first.
I have a similar theory: All devil fruits have a will of there own, at least a rudimantery one, so they "seek" there user. Best exemple would be Blackbeard, a single man searching to whole world to find one specific fruit? What are they ods?
Plus Kaku, who loves giraffes. They clearly did not know which fruit did what when CP9 was fed them, they made that clear. Kaku still managed to get a fruit of an animal that only he thinks is "cool" and also fits with his themes.

The egg egg fruit would be a special Zoan at best. It doesn't really have logia powers. He turns into goo, but he's not intangible. If you destroy the goo, he would technically be dead. It would rather fit in the paramecia category of body modification, like Mr. 1.
Luffy's gomu gomu no mi/hito hito no mi: model nika is a zoan/paramecia hybrid (most evident after awakening) because he can manipulate and turn his environment into rubber, but he also gains the likeness of the sun god nika.
Luffy's is a mix all 3 too at least I think, it make the red hawk and Thor axe stomp attacks make sense. That and his fruit is a god, gods have always been able to use, control, and even become the elements from Pantheons all over the world. Also I think it's setting up an epic fight with Blackbeard having 3 fruits vs Luffy having the power all 3 fruits in one. I've been thinking for a zoan for Blackbeard, since he seems to still be stealing them left and right for his crew and himself of course. A good one to steal would be Orochi's since he completely wasted it and than we could see what other powers the fruit may hold. Since from what I've seen mythicals zoan always have some additional power along side those of a normal zoan. So it would be interesting too to be how all 3 of those would work together and it could work pretty well, a dragon like being who can breathe and control darkness and make earthquakes!
The Logia are automatic, while the paramecia aren't. Kizaru become intangible without thinking about the bullet he receive, while Katakuri is using haki to move his body in the mochi to evade attacks, and Magellan and Mr 3 (that have paramecia that could work in the same way) aren't able to defend themselves that way.
I might be wrong, but I don't think Magellan or Mr 3 can become their elements. They can only produce an unlimited amount from their bodies. They might be able to do something like Trebol if anything

They shouldn't have retconned Jimbe's comment about Katakuri's df. Discovering later that the logia-like abilities of Katakuri were in fact a combination of a paramecia fruit and foresight would have been a cool little twist.
What about Blackbeards devilfruit? If I remember correctly it can only generate shadow, but not turn him into shadow, making it closer to a paramecia than a logia.
That is most likely because he's always in light. Compare to Enel & Crocodile. Both lost the ability to 'become' their element when confronted by their element's natural weakness (rubber for Enel, liquid for Crocodile). What's the natural weakness of darkness? Light! (hence why Blackbeard needed that blanket thrown over him & Whitebeard to do his fruit thievery - can't do the full darkness powers when you have the sun beaming down on you!).

I think the reason why Blackbeard can’t become darkness is because darkness is nothingness so it’s not like he can become nothing. Rather he just creates voids to suck things. Either that or it could be possible he actually found a way to put his logia powers into one of the rings on his fingers so he can only create darkness and not become it. Which could explain how he ate a second fruit because he never actually ate a first one.

In my opinion Oda is starting to lean towards all the devil fruits crossing the lines of their classes. Almost like all of them are somewhat related to each other. Logias take on shapes of animals and so on.
This is Exactly why I adore Tamago’s Devil Fruit, it is one of, if not, the most interesting devil fruit I have ever seen, more so than Kizaru’s, more so than Mont-d’ors, heck even more so than Law’s, just cause it comes off like a combination of all 3 types (maybe logia less than the other two), but I still love it either way! ^_^ Awesome Video! :D

Actually, yes. Once a bite has been taken of a devil fruit, the first person to eat it gets the powers, and after that it's just a fruit that tastes horrible.
Blackbeards Logia fruit does really feel like a logia when it comes to the "you become this thing and you are untouchable for people that don't use haki also you can lose bodyparts and they grow back" aspect and I would maybe put Luffy to the Zoan-paramecia category as well.
I'd honestly love to see an actual darkness logia that functions like other logias do. It would be a really cool ability but given Blackbeards fruit exists and that other paramecias incorporate darkness in certain ways (Gekkos manipulation of shadows for example), I don't think it will happen
I think karasu honestly might just be a limbless dude who somehow has crows around him that allow him to move around. Because I’m pretty sure we haven’t seen his limbs though I might be wrong. Either that or it could be something like a shadow logia and the crows are just him making the shadows into the shape of crows. Maybe not shadows but something else instead.
How do you feel about luffy’s fruit? It was first thought to be a paramecia, but it was later revealed as a mythical zoan yet I can’t recall a zoan fruit being able to manipulate the environment like luffy can. Ex: rubberizing the ground, running on air, rubberizing both Kaido and Lucci, and rubberizing lightning, all fall out of zoan and logia abilities so is it fair to assume Luffy has properties of a zoan and a paramecia?

phoenix could be all 3 it acts like a logia letting attacks pass through you and you become a literal fire bird and the healing powers can also be a paramecia type power.
I saw a cool theory that Karasu has a feather logia fruit, and just mimics actual crows. He’s essentially a really skilled puppeteer using feathers to mimic a flock of birds to blend in and disguise what his DF actually is. If the enemy thinks they’re real crows and wastes effort trying to kill them, it works for Karasu because they’re just feathers… waste your time and energy trying to kill a ball of feathers… lol His cloak is also made from his power, feathers he can use and control for offense, defense and scouting just like Hawks from MHA kinda. I like this theory… because it requires more skill than having actual living crows, and fits within the established “rules” for fruits.

Could Ruffys fruit not also be a 3-in-1 fruit? Yes, the Hito Hito Model: Nika, is officially considered a Mythical Zoan Fruit. But its unique, because Ruffy is also always ina Paramecia like condition (unlike other Zoans). In addition, it has a rather unique awakening, because unlike other awakened Paramecias it not only converts matter into rubber, but even Energy (Lightning) and other People.

Also, in the manga, it's clear that Marco's chopped off wing didn't just "heal". It turned into blue flame feathers which then reformed back into a tangible arm.

Luffy is kinda all 3 when awakened. He's a zoan with rubber Paramecia abilities, but is also like a rubber imagination logia lol. He literally "conjured" goggles out of his hair and grabbed lightning and Idk turned it into a rubber, not really sure what he did there 😅 but my mind brain says he could pass for all 3

Tbh J thought Marco's devil fruit would fit in all three categories. It is like a logia cause he can seemingly mimic its properties such as intangibility and conjuring blue flames. It is a zoan cause it is a phoenix fruit and it is a paremecia because of its healing factor.
As weird as it is, I think Tamago's fruit is what comes closest to Luffy's fruit. Whenever Tamago "dies", he gets reborn in a stronger form. I know that Luffy can go into Gear 5 without doing the whole dying thing anymore, but that's why he's an awakened devil fruit and Tamago isn't.
I can't help but feel like Oda made him as a logia but then remembered (or came up with) a future plotline that relies on logias being completely natural materials. I think the specialty of logias was more of a driving force for the retcon than the idea of it being a paramecia for the purposes of parallels between luffy's powers
Aren't most of the Mythical Zoans pretty much a combination of at least two Devil Fruit types? Hito Hito no Mi, Model Nika: Lets the user transform into the Sun God Nika and gives their body the properties of rubber. (Zoan-Paramecia) Tori Tori no Mi, Model Phoenix: Lets the user transform into flames specificly in the form of a bird and also control said flames, and its healing properties. (Zoan-Logia and also kinda Paramecia?) Uo Uo no Mi, Model Seiryu: Lets the user transform into a dragon and generate and control flame clouds, also use fire, wind and lightning in different kind of attacks. (Zoan-Logia) Inu Inu no Mi, Model Kyubi no Kitsune: Lets the user transform into a nine talied fox and also take on the appearance of any other person. (Zoan-Paramecia) Inu Inu no Mi, Model Okuchi no Makami: Lets the user transform into a legendary guradian wolf and generate and control ice. (Zoan-Logia) If the defining characteristic of a Logia is the intangibility of the user, then that's fair but they still generate a substance/element similar to the generating-type Paramecias which is not by any means connected to standard Zoan type Devil Fruits. Of course, the other Mythical Zoan Fruits are not so easy to connect to other Devil Fruit categories, but that's not a reason to disregard the ones the are able to be connected.

What makes the mochi-fruit a special-paramercia is that it has all of the characteristics of Logia-powers, exept that mochi is a man-made product while real logia are based on raw materials/energie found in natur.
It's been confirmed that Karasu is a Logia user. He's soot... he's made out of soot. The crows aren't actual crows, he's just using his powers to make the soot take the shape of crows. Idk why. I guess he's just edgy like that...
marco's fruit could also be in the middle of the three classes, he can release flame that heal others (paramecia) he can turn into a bird phoenix (zoan), and he is unaffected by physical attacks that are not branded in haki (logia).
Enels Thunder Fruit is kinda fun. He manipulates Matter like a Paramecia, can turn into a Matter, Thunder again, what is normal for a Logia, but also kinda consistent whit how Logia work. But then he just randomly turns into a Thunder god, if driven into a Corner.
I believe we can also put Mythical Zoans in that in-between space break down further apart, Zoans are Zoans but have "magical powers" so they lean more towards the Paramecia side Meanwhile Trebol, Magellan, Mr 3 and the like, their fruits creature the substance but don't turn into the thing, so even tough they're no tweeners, they're skewed towards the logia border
Not just 2017, just anytime after that year. Any year before 2017, you could still say Katakuri's Devil Fruit is a Logia. It wouldn't make sense to anyone before his introduction, but the point is you could.
another weird one is the gomu gomu no mi. it's officially classed as a zoan, the nika fruit, but it really doesn't act like one. kaido even comments that something is weird with luffy's awakening, it takes traits from both paramecia and zoan fruits.

I would argue that Marco the Phoenix almost falls under all three. He turns into a bird (Zoan). He can also only change select which parts of his body he wants to change. And when he does change his body is made out of fire (Logia). And lastly the fact that his fire has healing properties (paramica)
The darkness thing from blackbeard was classified as a logia without the ability to turn into darkness (or whatever). So that one might be a logia-paramecia special.
Luffys fruit could also fall in the centre, he’s a mythical zoan, with a paramecia power, and his cloud hair works like a zoan with luffy being able to control and shape it even seperate from his body
Another fruit I can think of is Perona's fruit, it's certainly not a zoan yet ghosts can have a mind of their own and not a logia because her physical body doesn't change as she needs to astral project.
What about Brook's Yomi Yomi no Mi? It allows him a 2nd life, but it also lets him jump out of his body, as a Ghost, and lets him imbue himself and his weapons with the energy of the afterlife.
The difference between Special Paramecia and Logia is that Logia use naturally occurring substances whereas Special Paramecia's use Man made substances. That and Logia can control their substance even if it isn't generated by them. Also Pretty much every single Mythical Zoan can be classified as a Special Zoan x Paramecia combo. Cause they have the Animal Zoan transformation yet the animal they are always wields a strange Paramecia like ability
nope katakuri's devil fruit was awakened, he most prob only had dough properties but after awakening was able to turn himself and surroundings to dough, doflamingo did the same thing but he couldnt turn himself into a string, and the question that arises now is whether if mochi mochi fruit can turn other living things into dough aswell, i mean luffy is able to do so and luffy's fruit unlike anything is the most similar to dough fruit, he can turn his body into rubber, he recently created a cooling glass out of air with rubber(paramecia + logia power) his fruit can also transform him (zoan) katakuri can transform himself into donut aswell so it wont be much of a surprise since katakuri after bigmom died has now created his own pirate crew (also now pudding has been kidnapped by blakbeard and as seen in wholecake island katakuri cares about his family alot so katakuri is definetly coming back to the story and holds importance)
My current guess for Karasu is actually that he doesn't have a Zoan fruit but more something akin of a Oil fruit, that could either be a Special Paramecia or an actual Logia
I can't imagine there being any fruit outside of the 3 and combinations of, because it's zoan is animal, logia is element, and paramecia is basically just 'everything else'. For there to be anything new, paramecia would need to be redefined, or else it'd just fit into paramecia. Make up any power idea that isn't either a logia or zoan? It's paramecia.
i thought logias were specifically "forces of nature" like fire and lava and such. the reason the mochi mochi no mi isnt a logia is because mochi isnt a force of nature... but because it has properties (the 2/3) it is a special paramecia. if there is an example of a logia thats NOT a force of nature, i would probably conceed my argument but i cant for the life of me think of one...

nope, special paramecia is real, doflamingo has a paramecia, his awakening lets him turn his surroundings into string but not himself, he can also make strings out of think air and make a clone of himself but not make himself string, but katakuri on the other hand can turn himself into dough, make his surrounding dough, also maybe you could clasify him as a zoan since he transformed himself into a donut once, well i mean katakuri's df have alot of wasted potential since if doffy can create clones out of his stringg (although its not confirmed he can create other peoples clones he should be since why not be able to make luffy out of string aswell) then why cant katakuri do so with his fruit, i understand that strings r of different colors but dough is not but your wrong since colored dough somehow is an actual thing
I think the reason Katakuri was changed to “Special Paramecia” was because unlike logia users. He can imbue his fruit power with Haki. We have yet to see any logia user use armament Haki on their fruit power. But we have seen Katakuri do it.
I may be wrong in this but doesn't Doffy imbue armament haki in his strings when its revealed that he was an awakened fruit user? I am posting this before fact checking so I may very well be wrong.

Honestly, I think it would make sense to call the fruit from how it first worked before the user figured out its special nature. Katakuri, for example, probably only used the paramecia part of his fruit before discovering or learning the logian traits. And for the crow one, I think it should be a special zoan fruit due to how it seems more likely that the crow part was used before the logian properties.

In respects to odd devil fruit like that, I like to hold the theory that the classification mutates as the user grows stronger. Perhaps the devil fruit was unstable, and it's powers and classification shift over time.
Luffy's fruit could also be classified as a multi-type devil fruit, since in his awakened form, he can change the enviroment turning it in rubber (kinda logia and paramecia), in base and other gears he can strech himself like a paramecia rubber fruit and can turn into a mythical character (the sun god nika), which will also clasify the fruit as Zoan
What if (and I know this might seem farfetched since devil fruits cant be shared) Karasu isn't originally a human but actually started as a murder of crows that ate the Mythical Hito Hito no Mi Model: Tengu? Or one crow that was a leader of a murder (if that is how social interactions between crows works) ate it and Karasu's cloak is actually always the "lesser" crows in the hierarchy.
A devil fruit power instantly transfers to whoever took the first bite. So only one crow would have the power.
That would break the laws that Oda established. But we saw that Dragon is in contact with Vegapunk. So who knows. Maybe Vegapunk made something like this possible.

Totally makes sense because Devil Fruits came into existence first and the people of the One Piece world put them into categories afterwards. So naturally some fruits wont fit into a single category or any category at all.
Also i have a theory about the Devil Fruits being created by peoples dreams. What if some fruits werent dreamt up by people in the ancient past but by present day One Piece characters making them the first users. Like Tamago for example, his name literally means egg. So his parents were fond of eggs and he grew up loving eggs too. Then one day he has a dream of becoming an egg and finds this devil fruit. Im sure there are other characters like this whose names match their powers which doesnt make sense unless this theory is applied.
Stretching this even further it would explain whether the chicken or the egg came first in One Piece. Since his name means egg its probably the egg that came first.

The egg egg fruit would be a special Zoan at best. It doesn't really have logia powers. He turns into goo, but he's not intangible. If you destroy the goo, he would technically be dead. It would rather fit in the paramecia category of body modification, like Mr. 1.
Luffy's gomu gomu no mi/hito hito no mi: model nika is a zoan/paramecia hybrid (most evident after awakening) because he can manipulate and turn his environment into rubber, but he also gains the likeness of the sun god nika.

Luffy's is a mix all 3 too at least I think, it make the red hawk and Thor axe stomp attacks make sense. That and his fruit is a god, gods have always been able to use, control, and even become the elements from Pantheons all over the world. Also I think it's setting up an epic fight with Blackbeard having 3 fruits vs Luffy having the power all 3 fruits in one. I've been thinking for a zoan for Blackbeard, since he seems to still be stealing them left and right for his crew and himself of course. A good one to steal would be Orochi's since he completely wasted it and than we could see what other powers the fruit may hold. Since from what I've seen mythicals zoan always have some additional power along side those of a normal zoan. So it would be interesting too to be how all 3 of those would work together and it could work pretty well, a dragon like being who can breathe and control darkness and make earthquakes!

The Logia are automatic, while the paramecia aren't. Kizaru become intangible without thinking about the bullet he receive, while Katakuri is using haki to move his body in the mochi to evade attacks, and Magellan and Mr 3 (that have paramecia that could work in the same way) aren't able to defend themselves that way.
I might be wrong, but I don't think Magellan or Mr 3 can become their elements. They can only produce an unlimited amount from their bodies. They might be able to do something like Trebol if anything

They shouldn't have retconned Jimbe's comment about Katakuri's df. Discovering later that the logia-like abilities of Katakuri were in fact a combination of a paramecia fruit and foresight would have been a cool little twist.
What about Blackbeards devilfruit? If I remember correctly it can only generate shadow, but not turn him into shadow, making it closer to a paramecia than a logia.

Compare to Enel & Crocodile. Both lost the ability to 'become' their element when confronted by their element's natural weakness (rubber for Enel, liquid for Crocodile). What's the natural weakness of darkness? Light! (hence why Blackbeard needed that blanket thrown over him & Whitebeard to do his fruit thievery - can't do the full darkness powers when you have the sun beaming down on you!).

I think the reason why Blackbeard can’t become darkness is because darkness is nothingness so it’s not like he can become nothing. Rather he just creates voids to suck things.
Either that or it could be possible he actually found a way to put his logia powers into one of the rings on his fingers so he can only create darkness and not become it. Which could explain how he ate a second fruit because he never actually ate a first one.

If you can see, there is plenty of light. Keep in mind that it takes very little of the weakness to force a logia back into their physical form (see: Enel & Crocodile).
In filler silver mine arc Bartolemeo says Bill's Paramecia Gutsu Gutsu no Mi powers are look like a Logia.
In my opinion Oda is starting to lean towards all the devil fruits crossing the lines of their classes. Almost like all of them are somewhat related to each other. Logias take on shapes of animals and so on.

This is Exactly why I adore Tamago’s Devil Fruit, it is one of, if not, the most interesting devil fruit I have ever seen, more so than Kizaru’s, more so than Mont-d’ors, heck even more so than Law’s, just cause it comes off like a combination of all 3 types (maybe logia less than the other two), but I still love it either way! ^_^

Blackbeards Logia fruit does really feel like a logia when it comes to the "you become this thing and you are untouchable for people that don't use haki also you can lose bodyparts and they grow back" aspect and I would maybe put Luffy to the Zoan-paramecia category as well.
I think you can put all mythical zoan fruits in the zoan-paramecia catagory. There is no mythical zoan that doesnt have paramecia-like powers.

I'd honestly love to see an actual darkness logia that functions like other logias do. It would be a really cool ability but given Blackbeards fruit exists and that other paramecias incorporate darkness in certain ways (Gekkos manipulation of shadows for example), I don't think it will happen
I think karasu honestly might just be a limbless dude who somehow has crows around him that allow him to move around. Because I’m pretty sure we haven’t seen his limbs though I might be wrong.

How do you feel about luffy’s fruit? It was first thought to be a paramecia, but it was later revealed as a mythical zoan yet I can’t recall a zoan fruit being able to manipulate the environment like luffy can. Ex: rubberizing the ground, running on air, rubberizing both Kaido and Lucci, and rubberizing lightning, all fall out of zoan and logia abilities so is it fair to assume Luffy has properties of a zoan and a paramecia?

I saw a cool theory that Karasu has a feather logia fruit, and just mimics actual crows.
He’s essentially a really skilled puppeteer using feathers to mimic a flock of birds to blend in and disguise what his DF actually is. If the enemy thinks they’re real crows and wastes effort trying to kill them, it works for Karasu because they’re just feathers… waste your time and energy trying to kill a ball of feathers… lol
His cloak is also made from his power, feathers he can use and control for offense, defense and scouting just like Hawks from MHA kinda.
I like this theory… because it requires more skill than having actual living crows, and fits within the established “rules” for fruits.
He’s actually a “soot” logia who just really likes crows and hard specialized into turning into crows of various sizes and quantities. I believe it was revealed in an SBS but I’ll try to find the number

Also, in the manga, it's clear that Marco's chopped off wing didn't just "heal". It turned into blue flame feathers which then reformed back into a tangible arm.

As weird as it is, I think Tamago's fruit is what comes closest to Luffy's fruit. Whenever Tamago "dies", he gets reborn in a stronger form.
I know that Luffy can go into Gear 5 without doing the whole dying thing anymore, but that's why he's an awakened devil fruit and Tamago isn't.

I can't help but feel like Oda made him as a logia but then remembered (or came up with) a future plotline that relies on logias being completely natural materials. I think the specialty of logias was more of a driving force for the retcon than the idea of it being a paramecia for the purposes of parallels between luffy's powers
Aren't most of the Mythical Zoans pretty much a combination of at least two Devil Fruit types?
Hito Hito no Mi, Model Nika: Lets the user transform into the Sun God Nika and gives their body the properties of rubber. (Zoan-Paramecia)
Tori Tori no Mi, Model Phoenix: Lets the user transform into flames specificly in the form of a bird and also control said flames, and its healing properties. (Zoan-Logia and also kinda Paramecia?)
Uo Uo no Mi, Model Seiryu: Lets the user transform into a dragon and generate and control flame clouds, also use fire, wind and lightning in different kind of attacks. (Zoan-Logia)
Inu Inu no Mi, Model Kyubi no Kitsune: Lets the user transform into a nine talied fox and also take on the appearance of any other person. (Zoan-Paramecia)
Inu Inu no Mi, Model Okuchi no Makami: Lets the user transform into a legendary guradian wolf and generate and control ice. (Zoan-Logia)
If the defining characteristic of a Logia is the intangibility of the user, then that's fair but they still generate a substance/element similar to the generating-type Paramecias which is not by any means connected to standard Zoan type Devil Fruits.
Of course, the other Mythical Zoan Fruits are not so easy to connect to other Devil Fruit categories, but that's not a reason to disregard the ones the are able to be connected.

What makes the mochi-fruit a special-paramercia is that it has all of the characteristics of Logia-powers, exept that mochi is a man-made product while real logia are based on raw materials/energie found in natur.
It's been confirmed that Karasu is a Logia user. He's soot... he's made out of soot. The crows aren't actual crows, he's just using his powers to make the soot take the shape of crows. Idk why. I guess he's just edgy like that...
marco's fruit could also be in the middle of the three classes, he can release flame that heal others (paramecia)
he can turn into a bird phoenix (zoan), and he is unaffected by physical attacks that are not branded in haki (logia).

Enels Thunder Fruit is kinda fun. He manipulates Matter like a Paramecia, can turn into a Matter, Thunder again, what is normal for a Logia, but also kinda consistent whit how Logia work.

And when he does change his body is made out of fire (Logia). And lastly the fact that his fire has healing properties (paramica)
The darkness thing from blackbeard was classified as a logia without the ability to turn into darkness (or whatever). So that one might be a logia-paramecia special.

What about Brook's Yomi Yomi no Mi? It allows him a 2nd life, but it also lets him jump out of his body, as a Ghost, and lets him imbue himself and his weapons with the energy of the afterlife.
The difference between Special Paramecia and Logia is that Logia use naturally occurring substances whereas Special Paramecia's use Man made substances. That and Logia can control their substance even if it isn't generated by them. Also Pretty much every single Mythical Zoan can be classified as a Special Zoan x Paramecia combo. Cause they have the Animal Zoan transformation yet the animal they are always wields a strange Paramecia like ability
nope katakuri's devil fruit was awakened, he most prob only had dough properties but after awakening was able to turn himself and surroundings to dough, doflamingo did the same thing but he couldnt turn himself into a string, and the question that arises now is whether if mochi mochi fruit can turn other living things into dough aswell, i mean luffy is able to do so and luffy's fruit unlike anything is the most similar to dough fruit, he can turn his body into rubber, he recently created a cooling glass out of air with rubber(paramecia + logia power) his fruit can also transform him (zoan) katakuri can transform himself into donut aswell so it wont be much of a surprise since katakuri after bigmom died has now created his own pirate crew (also now pudding has been kidnapped by blakbeard and as seen in wholecake island katakuri cares about his family alot so katakuri is definetly coming back to the story and holds importance)
My current guess for Karasu is actually that he doesn't have a Zoan fruit but more something akin of a Oil fruit, that could either be a Special Paramecia or an actual Logia
I can't imagine there being any fruit outside of the 3 and combinations of, because it's zoan is animal, logia is element, and paramecia is basically just 'everything else'. For there to be anything new, paramecia would need to be redefined, or else it'd just fit into paramecia. Make up any power idea that isn't either a logia or zoan? It's paramecia.

i thought logias were specifically "forces of nature" like fire and lava and such. the reason the mochi mochi no mi isnt a logia is because mochi isnt a force of nature... but because it has properties (the 2/3) it is a special paramecia. if there is an example of a logia thats NOT a force of nature, i would probably conceed my argument but i cant for the life of me think of one...
What about the nine tail fox fruit , I’d say it is a mix between logia and paramecia
