  • On paper, the spec sheet on RAWRR's new 72V Mantis X blows all the other bikes in the same price range out of the water. But is it really that good? Let's find out together. In this video, I'll be taking it out on some ATV trails to see how it performs off the pavement. Real rocky terrain and deep muddy conditions should give this bike a challenging test. I'll also have my Talaria XXX out for comparison. Find more info on this bike here: riderawrr.com/...

I bought a rawrr a few weeks ago. I ride it more and have a lot more fun than my 2stroke. It’s quiet. It’s got more power than I need. I’ve yet to say I need more power. Not having a clutch is very nice most of the time. It would be nice to clutch over fallen trees and stuff like that which I wasn’t even realizing how much I did it before but that is the main thing. I just need to get used to being in the front up without a clutch now. Adjustable brake levers would be really nice but the stocks ones are fine. I also do go for the foot break out of instinct sometimes and than grab the rear lever. It’s mainly a learning curve but very engrained. Rawrr does have the mounting points and everything already there so I always have the option to go foot pedal of if I really wanted it. Probably won’t though. It’s nice to have the rear on the bars.

Everyone just asks the same questions. How fast does it go? How far will it go? Range and Speed. If you want range and speed get a motorcycle. If you want access to 100mph speeds and range 100 miles. It ain't gonna be cheap. It'll be super heavy too in order to sustain those speeds and not kill you. You have to make sure the parts on this machine are quality. So i would say if you want a pit bike-like emoto to zip around on dirt paths and can carry it up stairs. It has reverse. Its not $3k its more like $3500 after taxes & shipping. Get the rawrr mantis x. Its a mid-size dirt-bike.

My 2 cents: they skimped on the battery to keep the price around $3000 - 30ah @ 72V is a nonsensical combination. What people DON’T seem to REALIZE is that a 72V battery burns through A LOT of battery power VERY QUICKLY, which is precisely WHY 30ah is a **RIDICULOUS MATCH** for that 72V…and the reason Rawrr is able to keep the price down - at the EXPENSE of *The Uninformed Consumer*, who will be stuck with an E-moto with abysmal range.
This isn’t a step forward in design, technology nor engineering: it’s a company that’s a year and a half to 2+ years **BEHIND** what Talaria has ALREADY BROUGHT to MARKET with their “XXX”, except that the Talaria **out-performs** it or equals it in almost every imaginable scenario. Rawr is trying to cash in on the E-moto craze and who can blame them for it?
But bump that 72V battery to AT LEAST 40ah and bump the price up half a grand, because currently, that 30ah battery is a shady, shoddy way to drop price at the expense of dismally LOW RANGE.
It’s unfortunate because I think Rawr have a decent frame and overall structural design; but 72V/30ah simply isn’t going to CUT IT for a brand new E-moto hitting the market in mid-2024 as both
Talaria and Surron are stepping UP their game for 2025.
I’m not hatin’, just sharing my opinion. Interesting E-moto, bad battery choice. ‘Nuff said!

I have this bike and the higher voltage is really nice. And I’ve not had any problems with battery life. Lower voltage higher amp is the same size battery with higher voltage lower amp they are just configured different. Here is an example. 56v x 40a is 2240watt. 72vx 30a 2160w. The real reason you go higher voltage is because you increase your efficiency you lower the amperage and you increase the power. All what we want. Everyone upgrades their e-bikes to higher voltage trying to get to 72v. Rawrr just gave us what we want with 72v. Bravo!
