120 years ago everything about this video was unimaginable, a video taken by a phone (A PHONE) on an airplane flying close to a rocket heading to the space, and we're able to watch this video thanks to the internet, wow
Think where we'll be another 120 years from now!! We'll be on the rocket!!
@@q1o2 We already ARE on the rocket now
@@q1o2 we'll be on Uranus.
And most of us have minimal knowledge how it all works.
I'm not sure about unimaginable, maybe the means and the workings behind such accomplishment were, but not the idea of launching something to space. The phone and internet I can agree about unimaginable.
The 37 people who disliked this video were the passengers sitting on the wrong side of the plane.

One of very few cases where filming vertically is acceptable.
Right
dude, i didnt even noticed until i saw ur comment, it is acceptable indeed
... or not.
Sequence (of major interest, not a doubt) filmed by a photographer, who is perfectly aware it's about to be viewed on computer screens for the better experience.
Hard to understand where the exact justification really resides.
Watching on any computer, laptop or smart TV it's always 1080 horizontal lines in HD video so in fact if this was recorded horizontal we would have seen the same 1080 lines but with more of the horizon to the left and right in this UA-cam video considering HD recording is 1920v x1080h and flipping your phone to vertical its now 1080v x1920h. You just loose a lot of the full picture doing any vertical recording on many platforms and forcing the crop and blank space either side.
Leg is another one
Ryan Air would have charged extra for that.
just for looking out of the window?

boring
Honestly surprising ATC allowed a plane this close to a launch. Probably a once in a lifetime sight.
I was thinking the same. I guess because the occlusion zone is directly out and over the water?
pilots wanted to see the launch
hopefully it will happen more and more often as rockets become safer and reusable.
I guess the ATC is illtrate and didnt knew about the NOTAM
The aircraft actually is not that close. It was all done in a safe and planned matter.
People on the other side of the aisle: “What y’all looking at over there?”
There was one where the pilot said something like "Ladies and Gentlemen on the left side of the plane, there is a Space Shuttle going to space. Those of you on the right side of the plane can watch the people on the left watch it."
Damn that sucks 🤣🤣
That would be my luck! lol

Very fun when u bring in the kraken rocket u built which breaks physics and accelerates to almost light speed
Imagine being on that plane but being on THE OTHER SIDE of the aisle so you don't see it
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!
But the rocket looks huge on the ground to humans 5-7 Ft tall BUT compared to Space it is very tiny.

Wholly shit alright,
You're totally forgiven for vertical filming as well
Vertical take off. Perfect choice.
It's all fun and games til the rocket starts flying towards the plane. 😂
Yeah
It can't.
Besides the self destruct system on board, a rocket that heavy can't literally change trajectory that much without breaking apart.

Wow this is a unique view very fortunate!! Thanks for sharing
The timing to get this... so awesome. So very jealous. This gives a really unique perspective on the downrange pitch and just how fast these things gain altitude.
This really shows how fast that rocket is going
If we could disregard the atmospheric resistance, the escape velocity for Earth would be 11.2 Km per second. Mind numbing numbers!
Wow really nice view. Wish i was there.☺

Best seat in the.. Planet! Wow u really get an idea of how fast it's moving compared to viewing from the ground. Good job and thanks 👊🇦🇺
You can see where our ozone layer ends as the smoke disappears when it hits space. Nice..never seen it from this angle before.
Smoke disappearing is probably the RL-10 second stage engines following stage seperation if I had to guess. The Atlas V second stage burns hydrogen unlike the first stage, so it has very faint exhaust and the nozzle is larger to account for a vaccuum, probably making it even harder to see.
@@starmanssciencechannel1834 you bring up a solid point but the first stage shouldn’t be completely burnt out less than 2 minutes into the launch. I’m guessing the disappearance of smoke was caused by the SRBs being jettisoned and the rocket relying on the RD-180 engine only.
@@EthanPricco This is probably the right answer here, thanks

When you're in a Honda civic on the freeway and a farrari zoomz past.
It seems that the pilots deliberately turned the plane left to let passengers see it wow

Plot twist: it was actually a SAM, the plane exploded.
LOL!!
I’m just surprised they can fly that close to a launch I figured there would be more flight restrictions
The exclusion zone is about 10 nm. This plane is cruising at at least 6-7 miles altitude. You can do the trigonometry to figure out that they were well outside of the exclusion zone. There are also absolute exclusion zones for any aircraft in VFR airspace (surface up to 18000 feet) that extend to 40 nm to keep aircraft not under positive control out of reach.
@@Markle2k Ten nanometers? That is a really tiny exclusion zone! Must be some precision flying going on!
@@AmgineIX have you heard of a joke?
@@AmgineIX Nautical Miles is shortened to NM. nm is for nanometers.

Awesome video! 👍
Why can't phones use software to record horizontally when holding the phone vertical. Someone needs to write the app.
Because it would require the image to be cropped quite a bit and it would lose quality
That's actually pretty easy to do, just need a setting to save video as landscape each time, but while recording your screen would be cropped in real time and it would appear kinda zoomed in.
that exist it's called there's tools called "rotate" and "crop" as part of pretty such every video editing software.
Well, the actual image sensor is oriented vertically. So filming horizontally while vertical would crop 2/3 of the image leaving out a lot of detail.
"Holy shit!...Holy fuck!"
Relax, man. They're not shooting at YOU.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Awesome view
Beautiful
This IS incredible and all but why were they in this airspace so close? Did someone mess up? If so, who? Still, it is neat.
Looks like they’re either coming into or leaving Orlando, as long as the aircraft doesn’t deviate from its flight plan there’s nothing wrong with it being that close
That wasn't close.
@@eminence_front6043 I mean it’s close, they’re only maybe a couple miles from the cape, but it’s not illegal to be that close as long as you have a filed flight plan and follow it
