The ash is a true combo but only under the right conditions! It needs to be a direct hit that has them be seemingly impaled front and center for the follow-up to connect! This is because (seemingly) the aoe hitbox is actually in the center-portion of the weapon, if not right towards the user, otherwise they're out of range anyways! The AOE hitbox, despite being an explosion, is actually pretty tight/small!

blood infused Bloodfiend's Arm is broken even post nerf I stopped using it because of how much dmg I was able to deal

All 3 of my characters that made it into/through the DLC just didn't have Builds to fit this thing.
You could do rebirth with Rennala.
@@backonlazer791 I know but I like to build my characters in a certain way from the start.
I wouldn't want to turn my STR/FTH Build I did a 100% run with into a STR/ARC Build.
I'd rather start a completely new character where I fokus those stats from the start and wear fitting armors sets and the like.
Definitely one of the weapons from the dlc.

I haven't really done Elden Ring PvP but I tried it the other day. Took a long while to get invaded (I was using Taunter's Tongue) and I got this little dragon fella. I saw him stacking buffs but went with the greeting anyway. Well, long story short, he used a dragon breath (the basic fire one I think) and it touched my ankle (I was surprised by the range since I don't really use them). Instant death 😅
What is your vigor if you don't mind me asking?

@backonlazer791 40 is 1450 and 60 is 1900. I never seen a wee bit of fire breath do 1450 though!
@@jackmurphy4825 Oops, I remembered wrong. I just checked and it was closer to 50 vigor (48) and I also had the Erdtree's Favor +2 talisman. Still only 1700 hp, not 1900. I think I was remembering the AR of one of my weapons.
But ya the fire power was pretty crazy. I'm relatively sure it was a single tick of damage. Unless it was lag and I was actually hit by multiple and it just looked like one hit.

How is your connection always so good, even with these being cherry-picked highlights? I'd blame my internet, but it's good enough to play everything else including P2P fighting games without an issue and only Elden Ring is consistently horrible.

Imo it kinda looks like one of the forms of soul edge from soul calibur.
First things that come to my mind are Berserk and the sword from the Soul Calibur video game series called Soul Edge.
It looks like Soul Edge, but its Ash of War is a Devil May Cry Stinger.

This is a comically large triangular shard of Mt. Doom. That is a Final Fantasy weapon, I don't think it looks cool in a souls game

That spell is balanced in comparison, seeing as you didn't just explode and die in an instant.
Palm blast is very slow and really depends on hyper armour trades to even work. To one shot you need to make a build specifically around the ash of war. Briars have incredible range quick cast and unpredictable and hard to react projectile. They're also bugged, so I think they apply 80-90 bleed but have 8 chances to do so based off hitboxes. If all these hitboxes hit the bleed multiplies by each hitbox meaning they can apply around 700 points of bleed which will proc on everyone in pvp and most bosses in one hit. So no, not balanced comparable to palm blast. One shooting doesn't always mean broken and not one shooting doesn't always mean balanced.

You can get palm blast to 1 shot people with 2 talismans and a single buff
Let's not even limit ourselves to palm blast, what do you need to 1 shot someone with the giant stone hammer wielded by the guy in the bullgoat armor? Oh just royal knights resolve and a charged heavy attack?
The TLDR here is if it can 1 shot in this game it's inherently broken, you don't need to take a single risk to pull it off. You can pull it off with the heaviest armor and over 100 poise for the absolute most risk free kills of your life
Also people keep saying those briars are bugged but nobody can identify where the error lies. Everything about their function appears intentional when analyzed in the code.
