I'm a former flight attendant who left the profession in 2004. That video filled me with pride and brought back fond memories of a (mostly) fun job. Thanks!
This is a beautifully done video! I live with a flight attendant and have several friends who are as well. Their jobs are tough and they have to fight for fair pay often. This video pays them what money can't: it pays them attention. I love the fact you chose Aerosmith's song. It's fitting in every way.
Great video, I flew with UAL for 14 years. We were (are) the most educated, least respected employee group of any airline. While the pilots got the plane in the HUDSON the FA's got them out. It was a team effort. no FA should ever allow themselves to feel like flying waiters. We are 1st class people doing are jobs. I have great respect for us all.
I have never had a bad experience w/ an attendant. I only compliment them here. I am envious of them and wish I had their job. I dont ever blame them for anything. I'm thankful their there!
Thanks to the maker of this video for honouring the job flight attendants do. After flying 10 yrs I left the job and still miss it daily. How many people can say that they look forward to going to work?
Thanks Majoroublink! I'm envious, I always wanted to be a flight attendant and should have tried...silly me..but I do appreciate all flight attendants for their service to me. I've always had great experiences. And a future Australian trip just may be what i need.
I’ve been trying to find this video for many years! When I was 15 my dream was to become a Flight Attendant I would watch this over and over praying my dream would come true. I’ve been flying now for almost 6 years. This is the first time I have seen this video since my dream has become a reality. Brings back so many memories. If anyone is aspiring to become a Flight Attendant. Never ever give up on your dream! Keep believing in your dream and It will come true.
OMG!!! This video made me cry! I flew for American for 2 yr's just quit his past Dec, this video brought back so many memories!!! I cant believe it but I miss flying...a lot. Not sure why I quit, this video makes me regret it. :(
Thanx!!! Am 1, for 36 years now, Air Portugal... This is a great homage cause we are there just for security, if not the pilots and a snack bag would be enough at least on low costs...
I do really love this video, I always wanted to become a FAs, hope I could become one soon for Aeromexico, to all the FAs all over the world, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, making comfortable and above all safe trips.
I love my mom. She's a flight attendant for US AIR. ^^ :) Thanks' for making this video. She's been with US AIR for 30years now. I love flying. Its actually better than driving ;)
I'm going to be a flight attendant. Not sure what airline yet, I interview with Continental soon... that brought tears to my eyes... can't wait to get in the air... Great video.
Thats a lot.... Yes, my mother was with PanAm World Airways in the 70's to the last few months of the '91. I was with PanAm World for 10 years. Then, I was just with United for 10 years.. I finished recently with them.. I am still looking to be with another airline soon.. It is passion... Totally passion for travel and seeing the sky...
I love this video...... Im 14 and i wanna be a Cabin Crew when i get older and evrytime i watch this video....i just carnt wait untill i get my badge saying "my Name" "assistance purser" I love this!!!!!
The title reminds me of my flight to Singapore. It was my first flight in 9 years (plus I was travelling unaccompanied) and I really should've taken a video camera on that flight. I knew next to nothing about aeroplanes so I must have looked stupid to the FAs (I even had to ask where the toilet was and how to open the door).
Me as a FA ,i live my job, and i don´t want to work anything else although there are hard and crazy days. Best greetings to all FA´s all over the world J. from Germany
I have alot of respect for flight attendants because in case of accidents etc, THEIR LAST IN LINE, we're first and that says alot. If people understood their job, they wouldn't ask them to hike a heavy bag in the overhead for them..THEIR BACKS CAN HURT PEOPLE! be kind to them. They dont get extra pay for being THAT STRONG?
I have been a flight attendant for 15 years. I chose to do this. I have an Engineering degree. On the side I run my own business, I help my husband with his and I am the mother of 3 children. I do my absolute BEST to make passengers happy. con't
Well, that does make our job look dramatic doesnt it.. Great Job on the vid... Alliance Airlines (aus) i soon be at V Aust. Cheers for making this vid on our job!!!
I like the last flight attendant's smile at 4:49 she's got a beautiful smile really nice. At the end of the video what state are you in just courious ? I like the song it adds alot to the video. You did a good job putting it together.
Makes me miss the good ole days of my life @ 37,000ft, making announcements, doing the demo, the killer carts on an L10-11, kissing in the galley. It was soo much fun! I want to be 22 forever!
Hello!Nice video onboard and yes we love flight attendamt! They are so kindy and so nice to us traveler so course. Give 5 star for this nice film!=) Greeting TheCARRE74
Hi Draculaslover, in order to get a job as a flight attendant in an airline such as Aeromexico or Mexicana first you have to join the union... it's mandatory you can consult the requirements at the ASSA's home page in the net, google it, because youtube didn't allow me to post the comment with the address
3,23 lol cute =P and them smiliing hhahaha I do adimre the FA-work,they took great care of me when I flew FRA-ARN Im really happy with the service actually.
I know it may not always translate. but when I am flying in the cabin I always make a point to make eye contact and nod deferentially and smile to the attendants. I do this out of respect and to try to convey that I am a friend to be could be called on if necessary. In your opinion are such jestures ever noticed and if so appreciated. If not I will stop. I am a Cargo Pilot but I have never felt it appropriate to mention this. Am I correct in this? Take care
my experience of flight attendants (in canada and the states) is that most of them go out of their way to goad passengers into shouting at them so they can call security. (in my case they have never succeeded). on one occasion one of them lied to the pilot about me, saying i was drunk, in order to have me thrown off the flight. i subsequently made an official complaint and the attendant was dealt with. with a few exceptions they are bullies and take their frustrations out on the customers.
One minute she may be providing simple in-cabin comforts such as blankets, pillows, and peanuts and sodas; next minute, their job may turn to knowledgeable assistance in case of emergency landing or to diffuse an in-flight cabin disorder among passengers, mechanical, etc. Resolutions are the exception and not the rule to the host of potential problems that could occur at 35k feet in the air.
really its amazing en effect im inchallah a futuristic flight attendant i have just got my diplome and im looking for a job i wish to find it with kuwait airways
@CB48197 I work for a Well known U.S.A. commuter airline. I have had up to 7 legs in one day.. But I love my job so much. This is the only job ive ever had that I look forward to going to work. Flying is alot of fun, and alot of work.
I am tired of the awful comments people make about FA's. When there is an emergency on your flight, you will change your mind. I was trained for 8 weeks on safety,1 on service and every year we have 3 days of exams (unpaid) to requalify. The priority,as it should be,is safety. On the airline I work for that is the way it is. The majority of us are very educated and friendly. Why not be more respectful to EVERYBODY?
I freaked out after using the toilet... came out breathing heavily and the stewardess goes, "Well next time you know not to!" (but I was unsure of what she meant). And I got scared, thinking the toilet was flushing (even when it wasn't) and I was sitting across from the toilet. Eventually I had to step round to the back and there were two flight attendants there. They gave me a glass of water (or really a plastic cup of water) and offered to flush the toilet for me! Lol!
Hi, flygal you are totally right... my point is almost all the FAs complain about their job and how they are treated like shit, my point is.. you have a great job and fly everywhere... so what you have to cater to the needs of snooty passengers... there are much worse jobs and or "careers" out there...
hi uptownboy1818... im an aspiring f/a..and i live in mexico but i am from california.. do you have any advice on how i could get a job down here,..but also get flights to the u.s...? im 17 at the moment..and i went to aeromexico to find info on a career..but i couldnt find any.. thanks..
Who that girl (black tee shirt, very short hair) before enter into aircraft??? My ex partner works for long haul flight attendant for QANTAS Airways, Yes it very emotional sometimes as she loves her job but no matter what happens, she is there for everyone on the plane to ensure their safety and enjoyed their flights etc, 5 years ago my ex partner passed away due breast cancer i love and missed her alot RIP.
No one can tell to turn the camera OFF, its a joy, flight attendants are not having sex with their hubbies or boyfriends. so its okay to film them. Theyre pretty, so they should feel good if it.
I'm a former flight attendant who left the profession in 2004. That video filled me with pride and brought back fond memories of a (mostly) fun job. Thanks!
