The host in the first few seconds is the aussie and kiwi tv show "thank god your here". They take contestants and put them into random situations and they have to think of things to say on the spot.
Depends on the level of the sim as there are different classes, but the sim they were in for the vid is around 1.5 mil at the top end, that is from about ten years ago from the techs at De Havilands training center at the plant in Downsview.
If you even get a crack at the sim you will love it, got to do a bombardiers expenance about ten years ago on the Q400 sim. ALl I did was a take-off a VFR traffic pattern and landed, had an instructor guiding me through each phase on the aircraft flight. The part that I remember the most was the landing where I greased it on. If you know anything about Bobardier AC then you know that they aren't vary forgiving in the landing flare as the have so much lift that if you pull too much they climb.
