  • This is a video of a product I bought & used called "Look Ma No Stand" They are slumping molds for fused glass. Find their products at www.LookMaNoStand.com
It was originally a live Periscope broadcast with over 1 hour of video over 3 days. But I have condensed it for UA-cam. Enjoy!

Susan, thank you for the tutorial on this stand.
I've made the photo frame but I'm wondering how did you remove the fiber paper from between the two pieces of glass? TIA

Most of it should just pull right out. Sometimes I need to put something very thin down there (wire, unpin, paper clip, chopstick) just to maneuver it out.

This was great, Susan! It made me chuckle, too, with all the "next day"s! I appreciate you and this! The trick of the thinfire on the glass frame was smart. Thank you.
Also, that firing schedule was for the original pieces, right?
What was schedule that worked for slumping?

So I fired according to your schedule, and it was superb! Thank you! I will slump it tonight on the stand

So, on the slump firing, I got fractures right where the glass bends over the form and above that area.
Susan, I am wondering whether you’d be willing to share your slumping schedule?
After a beautiful fuse with your schedule, Struggling here with my slumping schedule. It worked beautifully🎉for all the other pieces I had in, but not the look ma no stand.😢

I used the slumping schedule that came with the metal stand which I’m sure you can find on their website. But that’s just a guide. There are so many factors so you would have to modify it for your glass & your kiln & the size of your project. It sounds like you need to go slower for your piece.

It is a picture frame like you made! I think I need to go slower, too, on the anneal? I see no firing schedule on the Look Ma No Stand website.

Hi, Susan. Do you have a source for any plain old flat stainless steel that I can cast on?

Susan, do you follow t he same kiln schedule as shown in video for both 96 & 90?

Karen because I work with such small pieces I usually use the same firing schedule for both 90 & 96.
