@@lifeatiisc one more question, for UG students, whatds the size of bed alloted, as i need to know what size mattress will be required? And about cycles, do we have option to buy cycle or rent cycle within the university campus?
For UG freshers, room allotment is goinh to be on 11 oct, so i want to know when room allotment is done, can students shift in room same day or actual shifting /moving in to live there is done later? As classes are going to start on 17.
Once you come in IISc, you will be given a hostel room. You can move to that hostel room. If you want to change the room, you have to ask the hostel office and they will alot you a new room or you can choose a room and get it if it's vacant.

Do we have cycle / bike purchase shop in university campus? Also does university provide rental cycles? Thanks in advance foe your answers.
No... You have to buy from outside of campus... University doesn't provides rental cycles

You have to pay unless u sign off the mess
3-4k per month
U have to eat in the same mess when u hv taken membership of it. You can skip the non veg item and eat veg, but not in different mess

For iisc interview in life science PHD do i have to read about every professors research or i cn just select 1-2 and update myself with thier current research ?? How wud they ask questions regarding that?
Yes... Reading about 1-2 professors would be enough... Just focus more on the syllabus. They will ask questions from the syllabus only
