It can provide a pathway. At ug level, you can opt for BS research course of IISc, furthermore go for Msc/MS in physics or astrophysics and maybe eventually PhD

Afaik you may give IAT with PCB or PCM or PCMB but for IISC admission you need all four for admission through IAT
